Who is going to do Adriene’s 30 day programme January 2021?

I’ve done the last few years and try to do a video most days throughout the year. I like the structure of the 30 days. I think my favourite was Home as the length (short) of the videos suited what I had time for. Looking forward to seeing what’s to come.

I’m finding it hugely beneficial too, both mentally and physically. I only stuck with it after encouragement from you @Sooverthemill so thank you Smile

drspouse · 29/01/2021 13:20

Day 23 done, I can fit in a couple together at the weekend so I'll end up about 3 days behind.

EssentiallyDelighted · 29/01/2021 20:00

I have really slacked off this last week, but am determined to finish the 30. I am going to restart from Day 21 tomorrow.

Sooverthemill · 30/01/2021 09:16

@Londt that's so good to hear. I couldn't complete this morning g but hoping to finish it tomorrow morning. I can see and get pleasure from at the very least my arms are more toned. Ridiculous but makes me happy.

parrotonmyshoulder · 30/01/2021 09:55

I liked Day 28. Needed a long one, but it didn’t feel very difficult. I even managed a second or two of crow, which surprised me. The twists that I said earlier in the programme were hard are not anymore. Still can’t do Chatarunga to Updog though!

@AthelstaneTheUnready

I'm SO impressed with Adriene, honestly.

It all seems so gentle, and peaceful, and breathey, and fleeting, with the odd moment of difficulty impossibility.

And yet, 27 days ago I couldn't hold the hovering table for more than about 2 seconds, but yesterday... didn't even blink! Not a tremor.

I'm amazed at how much stronger these tiny little chunks out of the day have made me.

I think I'm two days behind and did day 27 last night. And I logged on here to say almost exactly the same thing! The hovering table completley defeated me when we did it early in the sequence; not a bother on me this time round. The forearm plank dips were tough though - for some reason I find straight plank much less challenging. And yes the weird wobbly limbs on the wild-thing effort! Very confusing.

Looking foward to the next few days, yes even day 30.

drspouse · 30/01/2021 10:27

Day 24 - managed the side plank, I feel really proud of myself!

Ietthemeatcake · 30/01/2021 12:41

Well done to everyone who has kept up and will be completing the Breath tomorrow. I just couldn't make myself get out of bed early enough this week, and didn't practice on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday 😬
I've just done 25 and 26 today - I enjoyed 26 and wild thing.

EventuallyDeleted · 30/01/2021 12:51

21 done again but I did skip the tap yourself on the bum section towards the end. Will try and fit in day 22 later and catch up a bit.

NotMyDayJob · 30/01/2021 15:13

Up to date as of day 28! Had to miss a couple of days early last week so will hopefully double up tomorrow as well.not bad considering I started on 6 January!

NotMyDayJob · 30/01/2021 15:14

I still can't do crow but I did manage dancer which I was really pleased about considering how bad my balance is

EventuallyDeleted · 30/01/2021 18:41

Day 22 done. If I remember to post here I can keep track better. I am really enjoying this, Adriene has such a soothing gentle voice.

parrotonmyshoulder · 30/01/2021 19:52

Day 29 done! I’m very proud of myself for ‘showing up’ each day. Not really looking forward to Day 30 but will have a go. Thinking of signing up to the FWFG membership as I’ve got so much out of the free stuff.

Day 29 done, but had to rush it a bit, which was a shame - should probably have left it until tomorrow. Found the 3 legged pyramid quite difficult! Enjoyed watching Benji making a nest in Adriene's blanket!

Sooverthemill · 31/01/2021 07:37

Just in case anyone wants it, link to February's calendar playlist on YouTube. It's called Bridge

Cherrypi · 31/01/2021 08:37

I like that lots of February are pretty short. Hoping I can keep up the daily habit. This has definitely been my favourite of hers. I never felt lost and it wasn't too tricky.

MaMaLa321 · 31/01/2021 09:26

I've come to the end, but I didn't want to do the 50 minutes of freestyle on the last day. I know this is what she does, but I have to be guided. Anyway, I've really enjoyed it and I've downloaded February.

Sooverthemill · 31/01/2021 09:38

I've finished but I did a day from before for day 30. Don't like freestyle. Loved this and going to do TRUE for February

NotMyDayJob · 31/01/2021 10:02

I thought I was going to have to skip out day 29 but of day 39 is freestyle I'll skip that. I need structure, but I'm happy with that, day 29 is a good length for my last day

drspouse · 31/01/2021 10:21

Just did day 26 and managed wild thing. I was going to do a second one today but I'll leave the next couple of short ones for before work/school run, as I'm not finishing this month anyway. I do need some of those short Feb ones too but I'll finish Jan first.

EmmaStone · 31/01/2021 11:03

I missed a couple of days (I'm a slave to my Apple Watch, which had set me a distance challenge for January, so I've been walking, walking, walking), but just caught up on day 28, which was good, nice and flowy. Will try to do day 29 later today, but will probably skip day 30. I prefer to be led, plus it's 50mins of freestyle, WHAT?!?

My general fitness has slipped, so I'm going to focus on that in February, do my PT workout routines at home, Peloton, my real life (Zoom) yoga classes, and I'm going to try to schedule my fitness in rather than doing it as and when the whimsy takes me to hopefully incorporate a more rounded routine. I've got 7km of distance to cover today to complete my January Watch challenge, which should be straightforward, a short walk and some general bumbling around the house (also need to do our RSPB birdwatch today 😀).

Thank you all for sharing your Breath months with me, it's been lovely to have someone to share it with. Interestingly I have a few friends doing YWA, but none of them have done Breath, so it's been nice to have so,where to track what I've been doing and seeing how others have found it too. Solidarity!

Namaste, bitches! 😁🧘🏻

Londt · 31/01/2021 13:56

I enjoyed day 30. I put some music on in the background and did my best to keep an eye on her to follow. I ended up spending longer than her in a few of the relaxing poses, not realising she’d moved on as I couldn’t see the screen but just joined on to whatever she was doing.

Looking forward to February!

🙏🏻

UnaOfStormhold · 31/01/2021 16:02

The first day 30 I did, I tried to keep roughly up with what she was doing and it was frustrating not being guided. With other day 30s, I've gone much more with my own flow and only looked up if I wanted ideas. Not quite sure I'll manage 50 mins though, we'll see...

I think I'll do Boot Camp for February as it's one of the ones I've not done yet.

Redcrayons · 31/01/2021 19:03

Day 30 done.
Really enjoyed it,, I stuck with her most of the way through, but free styled a bit when I couldn’t see what she was doing. Actually could have carried on for a bit longer. Though I think I did the same leg twice on the high lunge bit.

I started with hOme last year and didn’t really know what to do without guidance so gave up.

Not sure what to do next.

twirlbite · 31/01/2021 19:16

Day 30 done, though couldn't keep up for the whole session. Especially not Crow! Enjoyed the peaceful music. This is my first 30 days series - have really enjoyed it and will probably move on to Home next. It's been great reading everyone's comments, thank you all!
