Graham Linehan arrested on arrival at Heathrow Part 4

IDareSay · 07/09/2025 21:33

These threads have mostly been used to follow the case that has taken place at Westminster Magistrate's Court over the 4th and 5th September, (and will continue on the 29th October), but were created to follow the fallout of Graham's arrest at Heathrow on his return to the UK for this court case last week, and what is allegedly a conspiracy of TRAs to intimidate and harass a number of people, including Graham, with the alleged support of various police services.

He is currently on trial for alleged harassment of a trans identified male and criminal damage to the man's phone. The charges stem from a series of events in October 2024 at Battle of Ideas.

Graham's account of the arrest here
You can support his Substack here
Or buy him a coffee here

Free Speech Union are running a fundraiser to support a claim against the Met in reference to the Heathrow arrest. Just search FSU and Graham Linehan fundraiser and it should be easy to find. At the time of posting it has reached 64% of its stretch target.
The FSU have managed to get the bail condition that @Glinner must not post on X removed, so he is now freely posting on there again.

Most of the mainstream media have reported on the case, but none have covered it as well as Nick Wallis. Follow him on X for live posting from the court again on 29th October.
You can support Nick here (posted Friday 5th September):
"I am deeply grateful to everyone who has seen fit to bung me the cost of a coffee, a pint or even a bloody London pint since I found out I was able to come back today. If you think you can afford to make a small donation, there’s more info here:"

Many of them are resentful of what they see as women's sexual power. This is a way of, as they see it, removing that power from women and passing it to men, who they say will do womanning better than women. It's why so many of them say things like "your husband wants me" and try to be sexually provocative. A lot of male TRAs are the same. They wouldn't be caught dead dating a transwoman but they are very supportive of the idea that transwomen could take women's sexual power, as they see it, to men, so they will try to make us insecure. Some absolute walloper was on here shortly after the SC ruling sharing pictures of a highly polished man in a dress and saying, "So you're ok with her putting on lipstick and tossing her hair in the gents' with your husbands, huh? Huh?" Only if you film it, mate. It'll be fucking gold and I don't see why I should have to miss it.
There's also a lot of it in many abusive messages sent to GC women. Stuff like, "I will dethrone you, I have the power to steal husbands and wreck homes".

We had a TW post a thread on here some time back, possibly in AMA who said exactly what ThatCyanCat has said above. Full of how husbands of women at the supermarket definitely thought he was a woman and were definitely hitting on him.

I’m not on X. There was an earlier post saying that GL had had 37k likes to his post saying he was back etc.

Does anybody know the latest figure?

Thanks for the new thread, been following it all with growing unease and horror at how corrupt the police are.

It's so bad.

How creepy blokes, attempted murderers and convicted sex offenders have so much power is unbelievable to me.

MahoosivePaws · 07/09/2025 23:19

I’m just popping in to note the irony of the fact that not so long ago, we GC people on mumsnet were accused of being half a dozen obsessed women and a load of sock puppets.

And lo, it would now appear that the havoc wrought by our Troon friends is the work of…:half a dozen obsessed men and a load of (crusty) sock puppets.

EmeraldRoulette · 07/09/2025 23:23

I've looked at his Twitter account for the first time

I think a lot of people are probably concerned about him after everything that he's gone through

I am not convinced that spending so much time online and on one issue can be healthy

I gather he was quite involved in Gamergate. I'm glad he's got access back to his account but it does feel like proof, as if it were needed, that too much Internet is really bad for you!

maybe in the past he used to post other stuff? I don't know.

editing to add, he's obviously an adult and he can look after himself but it was just a thought. I've been quite concerned about him just from what I've seen on interview interviews and things.

TheAutumnalCrow · 07/09/2025 23:24

Thank you @IDareSay for these threads. Watching the police stuff emerge with genuine concern.

Brainworm · 07/09/2025 23:34

The very small size of the dating pool is a well documented issue for transwomen. Very few males or females are interested in intimacy with transwomen. The idea that transwomen using male changing rooms and loos will undermine relationships is for the birds.

I'm regularly struck by the saying every accusation is an admission when it comes to the TRAs.

😂@SinnerBoy we really need the laugh emoji!

I use hearts to say that's nice, I feel for you, and that's funny, hoping it makes sense depending on what you've all posted.

I mean sure. There are no doubt some bi or bi-curious men who would have some (homosexual) sex with a TW, and maybe even enjoy it more than with a more masculine presenting man. As the Germans would say 'Und?'.

I had further thoughts about that, but when I wrote and read-back they seemed unkind towards middle aged men with cross-sex gender identities who like dressing up, so yeah, I'll leave it there.

borntobequiet · 08/09/2025 07:48

Well we know that some men will have sex with almost anything, animate or otherwise, if they feel so inclined, so no surprise.

The issue really isn't that we shouldn't be 'policing tweets'. This is as silly as saying we shouldn't be 'policing phone calls' or 'policing the post'. The issue is the content - criminal harassment is platform-independent. The problem is POLICE BIAS not social media

How can you be neutral if you don't understand sex. That includes sexual violence, the dynamics of violence against women and girls, which people are the women and what bits women have and men don't?

The FGM comments reveal that level of stupidity. The police are run by men for men. They are the type of men who think women have front holes and back holes and pee out of their front holes. They are men who see themselves as above women and that women are just a nuisance. They think domestic violence is just he said/she said. This enables and encourages incels and abusers to be attracted to going the police.

And then wonder why they get labelled as Institutionally Misogynistic and there's a lack of public trust from women in them.

It's appalling.

The FGM story pretty much sums up the problem in a neat unbelievable way tbh.

I totally agree with you about the police.

I'm old enough to remember the sex discrimination act becoming law.

Until then there were separate male and female forces. The women's force had lots of skills, mainly soft skills eg if a child ran away in one city the women's force often knew the likely location in another city the child would turn up.

They talked to prostitutes and a lot of information was exchanged over a couple of cups of tea.

When the forces amalgamated it actually didn't, it just moved the women in to the men's force and all that knowledge and skills were lost. They were not considered important by the men.

I'm not advocating for separate forces, I am advocating for the police to interview some of the women who worked for the women's force and use that information to inform their policing.

Taytoface · 08/09/2025 08:35

I know Graham has been properly shafted here. And the police have been disgraceful, but I am not sure that giving Glinner Twitter access back is the best thing for him. I also wonder what he will learn from this horrible escapade. I fear it will just dig him in further.

I used to subscribe to his SubStack, but his incessant posting and some of his stunts made me back off. I really wish he could find some peace, I believe he is not built for this fight. Too easily bruised, too quick to anger and too much of a martyr complex. He has lost so much. My personal take is that encouraging him to continue in this vain by giving him attention and money feels quite irresponsible. Like giving an alcoholic a can of Carlsberg Special.

I think there is a lot to be said for some of that.

To a point.

He IS working in Arizona at the moment so his career isn't dead.

Reporting over the weekend said he was renting a £2600 a month 2 bed flat in a luxury resort. Which if the pictures are to be believed, looks very nice.

That grated tbh.

It actually doesn't tally with some of the other stuff he's said.

DrLouiseJMoody · 08/09/2025 09:05

ThatCyanCat · 08/09/2025 08:45

He needs money, though, he lost his entire career and people are still trying to ruin him.

In the recent Daily Mail article, it's noted that he's living in a £2600 a month centrally located spa complex. Meanwhile, the FSU Crowdfund has inexplicably increased by another £100,000 with assurances that any surplus will be donated to other causes after "Graham's needs" are met.

It does not cost £250,000 to sue the MET. As an indication, the initial letter before action in a case I'm involved in went out last week. We're at £12,500 (mainly barrister advice/conferences) and it's unlikely to significantly increase if we reach an agreement (the intention). The MET will settle this and damages will be modest. Then we have the four or five other Crowdfunders. It's now approaching half a million pounds with no result in any case and people are going "go get 'em." It's obscene.

That's a bad look however you want to splice it.

I know many women, incl. some "names" who are appalled by it all but are shutting up because they just don't want the backlash for criticizing someone for whom the arrest has, by his own admission, made him more "famous worldwide."
