These threads have mostly been used to follow the case that has taken place at Westminster Magistrate's Court over the 4th and 5th September, (and will continue on the 29th October), but were created to follow the fallout of Graham's arrest at Heathrow on his return to the UK for this court case last week, and what is allegedly a conspiracy of TRAs to intimidate and harass a number of people, including Graham, with the alleged support of various police services.

He is currently on trial for alleged harassment of a trans identified male and criminal damage to the man's phone. The charges stem from a series of events in October 2024 at Battle of Ideas.

Free Speech Union are running a fundraiser to support a claim against the Met in reference to the Heathrow arrest. Just search FSU and Graham Linehan fundraiser and it should be easy to find. At the time of posting it has reached 64% of its stretch target.
The FSU have managed to get the bail condition that @Glinner must not post on X removed, so he is now freely posting on there again.

Most of the mainstream media have reported on the case, but none have covered it as well as Nick Wallis. Follow him on X for live posting from the court again on 29th October.
You can support Nick here (posted Friday 5th September):

Nick Wallis reports that glinner is likely to appeal, which also seems to mean that glinner will get access to documents showing the dealings between the complainant, his friends and the police. I gather NW has asked for documents ans has been refused, witness statements?

The Judge also refused an application for a restraining order against glinner, mentions the involvement of older transactivists generating the complaint, and names Lyndsey Watson.

Also says the Complainant was not giving entirely truthful evidence, which I assume is Judgespeak for liar liar pants on fire?

IANAL, happy to be corrected.

very much so.

Tarquin?

He was christened Tarquin by Kelly-Jay Keen because he is a posh boy. It suits him down to the ground.

Charabanc · 25/11/2025 11:59

This is a great result. You can tell that by how much the transes on BlueSky are fizzing about it 😄

nauticant · 25/11/2025 12:00

This is one of those cases where the verdict is important but where additionally the comments of the judge are of considerable significance. This also will be the case in the Fife and Darlington Employment Tribunals.

I did enjoy that bit, and I am presuming that Watson will be fuming.

MyAmpleSheep · 25/11/2025 12:01

There’s a comment on Reddit along the lines of “iPhones get more protection in this country than trans people. So I’m going to identify as an iPhone.”

Once again, they so nearly get it, don’t they? Even in jest.

The funny thing is that Watson's account is currently suspended from BlueSky, so he can't go on there for his customary rant 😆

Here's the Reddit thread, for a look at how the alternative reality folk are coping:

Is this a good result for GL? I mean OK he's been convicted of damage to the phone, but the other charge of harrassment has been dismissed. I think that's more likely to enrage Mr. Brooks.....

I think it's the best we could hope for... certainly the best I was hoping for. I think Glinner admitted knocking the phone so that was pretty much foregone, but I think a conviction of actual harassment would be far more damaging. We certainly had one of the usual suspects on here crowing as if he'd already been convicted of harassment.

Didn’t he knock the phone away from being shoved in his face? Or was it more unnecessary than that?

I don't know. His account shut down over Sunday night, I think. No doubt he will elucidate us in his usual calm, measured manner when they let him back on 😝

He said he'd taken and skimmed the 'phone, to avoid damage.

I think it's a good result.

This is fantastic.

Exposing all the shadowy TRAs behind it, calling them all liars, calling out their ridiculous claim of being harassed plus, (and this is absolutely brilliant), paving the way for Linehan and hopefully Nick Wallis to see all the behind-the-scenes shenanigans.

Plus, the judiciary will start wising up to these nonsense claims of damage to property that is the stock in trade of transactivists. See Brolly-gate. There are only so many times you can submit your broken phone for evidence.

I'm so glad Nick Wallis is on this, too.

(He said how, as a journalist, he needs to remain impartial. I have to admit, I'm not holding my breath.)

LizzieSiddal · 25/11/2025 12:20

IIRC he knocked the phone away because Tarquin was harnessing women and had been asked numerous times to stop filming them. He’s the one who should be charged with harassment imo.

ItsCoolForCats · 25/11/2025 12:26

Will this be the end of TRAs weaponising the justice system? I'm sure I saw on X that Lindsay Watson is going to be interviewed by the police. Have the police finally joined the dots?

The police have been trying to interview him over various things and he just doesn't turn up. It does sound like he's panicking about this new request though.

ItsCoolForCats · 25/11/2025 12:28

The BBC reporting of this is so interesting. When this case was being heard just a short while ago, the BBC articles about it made no reference to SB's sex. Whereas the article today refers to SB as biologically male. Progres 🙌🏻

tobee · 25/11/2025 12:29

Today's result is a good result. But the process is the punishment.

Graham Linehan' lawyer Sarah Vine KC said after the judgement, according to Sky News:

the cost of the case to Linehan had been "enormous", telling the court: "The damage was minor; the process itself has been highly impactful on Mr Linehan."

I read he failed to turn up, again. Quelle suprise!

I must admit I am still bemused by the bit where Tarquin said he didn't have good photos of the damage to his phone despite having a fancy pants camera. But glinner made no bones about taking the phone and throwing it. Judge called him a credible witness so being upfront about that may have helped?

Plus it means glinner can appeal and get access to the documented shenanigens of Tarquin et al.

FaithHopeCarnage · 25/11/2025 12:35

A couple of things… From Nick Wallis: “She (the judge) asked me if there was anything else I wanted, and so I said the witness statements, but I understood I had no chance of those. She agreed - and said if it's any consolation even she doesn't get to see them.” Am I being dense - do judges not see witness statements in criminal trials? I know they do in tribunals, and had assumed it would be the same.

Secondly, I believe there is some doubt about the identity of “Sophia Brooks” regarding both real name and, especially, correct age. Around the time of the trial, I’m sure there was digging around this but did anything definitive transpire?

Hopefully it means the police are at least classing his complaints as vexatious now? Rather than go running every time he reports someone for misgendering or some other genocidal act.

Yes, for some reason, Linehan freely admitting to criminal damage and being convicted for it has come out as a plus for him 😁

Domesticatednottamed · 25/11/2025 12:40

Also, from SEEN in journalism, there are two types of criminal damage, intentional and reckless. Glinner has been found guilty of reckless, which is the lesser of the two.

That Reddit thread refers to Brooks, variously, as a child, and a teenage girl. As in Linehan, a middle aged man, attacking a child and stalking a teenage girl.

Deluded? Liars? Whatever you want to call it. At that level, hopefully it runs out of road pretty quickly.
