NHS Fife tries to silence nurse - Sandie Peggie vs NHS Fife Health Board and Dr Beth Upton - thread #4

Sandie Peggie, a nurse at Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy (VH), has brought claims in the employment tribunal against her employer; Fife Health Board (the Board) and another employee, Dr B Upton. Ms Peggie’s claims are of sexual harassment, harassment related to a protected belief, indirect discrimination and victimisation. Dr Upton claims to be a transwoman, that is observed as male at birth but asserting a female gender identity.

The Employment Tribunal hearing started on Monday 3 January 2025 and is expected to continue for 2 weeks.

His role in working with teens who is have mental health problems is seriously troubling.

I think the medical authority should be looking closely at the medical care they are receiving.

Gosh, all that coyness about entering the room. Not as backwards about coming forward when shoving himself into women’s spaces, despite the women’s embarrassment and distress. Just my personal opinion.

There is no Fife accent here. Well spoken. Educated. Light, tripping, young voice. Quite gentle sounding atm and oh so reasonable.

i wonder if the judge and other men just see him as an unusual, slightly exotic kind of human and have no idea of how he appears to women and what negative effect he has on them when he insists on entering their spaces.

As a patient I'd be very pissed if I was expected to agree this doctor was a woman.

Are all those people genuinely his 'support' team??
