NHS Fife tries to silence nurse - Sandie Peggie vs NHS Fife Health Board - thread #2

Sandie Peggie, a nurse at Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy (VH), has brought claims in the employment tribunal against her employer; Fife Health Board (the Board) and another employee, Dr B Upton. Ms Peggie’s claims are of sexual harassment, harassment related to a protected belief, indirect discrimination and victimisation. Dr Upton claims to be a transwoman, that is observed as male at birth but asserting a female gender identity.

The Employment Tribunal hearing started on Monday 3 January 2025 and is expected to continue for 2 weeks.

Re discussion of Sandie's private messages to colleagues, does this mean the tribunal had the power to access all her devices (as happens with victims in rape cases)? I find this horrifying. (Not enough to comply with Rightthink in public, you must also comply in private, with your confidants?)

Is Beth going to have to disclose all social media posts and convos with friends and family? I appreciate that that could take a few weeks if the 'contemporary notes' are anything to go by.

Just because you are intolerant of one group, it doesn't necessarily follow you are intolerant of another group.

No, the tribunal doesn't have power to access devices. Instead the parties are under a legal obligation to disclose relevant information.

Agreed. I am so horrified. Not surprised though as the end of female privacy and boundaries is what many trans identifying males want- female humiliation (and exclusion of women who won't submit from their own spaces) is a bonus.

So back to her husbands facebook being racist. I don't know about JR relationships, but I certainly don't don't share all my dh's views which have led to many arguments discussions.

If this is all JR has then she really is scraping the barrel.

Can't she just say I'm not responsible for someone elses feelings. How's she supposed to know. EVERYTHING might make Beth feel upset. Women existing at all and having human rights might make Beth upset.

It certainly seems that women having any rights is something that upsets Beth.
