I love those big dance numbers. Gerbils may not be the best at really high kicks, but their salsa moves are unbeatable.

True. They struggled with the cancan earlier. Just not built for it.

I've just been backstage to take the gerbils some flowers and Bluestocking sloe gin.

They don't look the same close up if I'm being honest I think the publicity shots up thread have been photoshopped.

Well obviously you saw them when they were putting on disguises so they wouldn't be mobbed by their fans when they left the theatre.

Presumably The Bluestocking decided against acronyms in the advertising to avoid constantly having to explain the difference between the Automobile Association and Alcoholics Anonymous (as it were). I missed earlier explanations of this, maybe because they were in Franglais. Or because I was distracted by the drink.

How are the the gerbil morning rehearsals going? Is the show going to have one of those 'entering down a staircase' routines? I suppose the advantage when setting up the cabaret bar is that small performers need a smaller stage area, but carefully positioned so the audience can see the performers.

I'm slightly concerned about the lack of quokkas. Are they sulking at the amount if airtime the gerbils are getting? Are they concerned they might have to take over the gerbils more menial tasks?

Or are they plotting something with the goats?

Back in the real world I'm about to start my zoom Pilates class, which is a truly good way to start the week. Lovely instructor, no need to go out into the wind and rain....

... obviously the Bluestocking has a studio for Pilates, yoga etc.

I have visions of zoom pilates being done at twice normal speed!

Is pilates something that can be done at speed?

I've just realised I have no clue what pilates actually entails

I'm so old I keep getting offered "chair-based pilates". Or a weekly " befriending phone call".

I kindly suggested they might like to get back to me in 20 years time.
