Incidentally, did you know that a Tudor banqueting house was where you repaired for the dessert course, which did resemble a buffet of sweet treats?
Actually, could we have one in the Bluestocking's garden, but linked to the pub by an enclosed walkway in case of inclement weather?
The banqueting house should have heating and comfy chairs. And banquettes, obviously. One storey, I think, to facilitate access for the cake gravy bowser. Or a rather large dumb waiter, if two storeys.
