The Bluestocking is reopening

It's time we reopened the Bluestocking, I think.

This is the FWR pub, situated in the charming village of Badley Fuckitt near the Shady Pines rest home. It has a cannon (for reasons lost in the mists of time), goats in the paddock next to the beer garden and a menu including many soups and cakes. It's open all hours, serving breakfast and tea to all weary women, in addition to being the ideal location to metaphorically drown your sorrows.

And for someone to bring me a nice hot latte because the pub cat is on my lap, so you'll understand I cannot move...

I'm just going to stay sitting in the corner with my book, a packet of salt and vinegar squares and a mahoosive pot of tea for the next hour. Actually, make that a six pack of squares. I'm hungry.

Did I hear someone mention quokkas?

Why does every single item on that list sound like a euphemism?

This is wonderful. I have broken my ankle so need a small stool to elevate it, along with some medicinal cheese and pickle sandwiches. In return I have a stack of books I'd love to share. 🙂

I'm back! That blew the cobwebs away, phew! The zip line back to the beer garden is awesome! Though my hair now looks a bit wind scrubbed, it's done wonders for the volume.

Ooh, the roast beef and horseradish barm come with a complimentary tissue <happy sigh>. They've thought of everything.

What is a barm? Is it the name for a bread roll in your neck of the woods? I've not heard that one before....
