A woman has been found guilty of raping two women when she was a man. Happened in Scotland. She hasn’t been sentenced yet - but where will she serve her sentence? In the womens prison?!
This is going to mean some serious discussions and tough times for the Scottish government. But it was surely only a matter of time before something like this happened.

Let me know when the inevitable class action ensues and the prison service get sued by all the women who are physically and sexually assaulted and mentally intimidated by violent male prisoners. I'll donate to the crowdfunder for a team of hotshot pitbull lawyers to make mincemeat of the defence.

I don't personally give a flying fuck if he is vulnerable in prision, I don't believe that he is, but if he is other vulnerable men are housed in male prisons. If they can keep ex police officers and other sex offenders safe, they can keep him safe.

They have a number of prisons, which are dedicated entirely to sex offenders. The thing should go to one of those.

To be honest, it will be completely as standard. There are multiple rapists who did not identify as women when they committed their crimes, who are never-the-less in women's prisons.

First up, 'Jessica Winfield', formerly Martin Ponting, who raped two girls under 16. Martin changed name to Jessica and got moved to HMP Bronzefield, a women's prison.

Do they let the SPS keep Bryson at Cornton Vale (which I believe is closing to be replaced by community units - presumably they have some accommodation somewhere for violent offenders) so they can say "See, GRR makes no difference, we send em all to women's prisons anyway as soon as they don the pink leggings and blonde wig!"

Isn't this related to the right to be forgotten/deadnaming type arguments - that post transition, they not only change sex, but become a wholly new person, and cannot therefore be responsible for the crimes of the "dead" person?

The world has gone mad - or at least Scotland has. The media is a disgrace too. The only TV station that seems to want to stand up for women is GB bloody News. What does that say about misogyny amongst the liberals running the other stations?
