A woman has been found guilty of raping two women when she was a man. Happened in Scotland. She hasn’t been sentenced yet - but where will she serve her sentence? In the womens prison?!
This is going to mean some serious discussions and tough times for the Scottish government. But it was surely only a matter of time before something like this happened.

Care for the victims of sexual violence seems to be an extremely low priority for the criminal justice system.

I could almost understand (but of course not condone) the rapist saying it as presumably that’s part of the fetish, but the lawyer should know better. It’s a disgrace and it makes me angry, so angry for his victims

I think what will be interesting with this is that, unlike some of the other cases, this isn't remotely under the radar. It's been very widely reported on and as a result will be much harder to quietly pop them in Cornton Vale.

To be fair, the judge has presided over a case where the defendant has been found guilty and will be jailed. That in itself is vanishingly rare.

Unfortunately, it's not up to the judge where a prisoner is remanded to, that's the prosecution service.

Absolutely correct. It’s getting beyond ludicrous, a man with penis has committed rape , only a man can commit rape because he has a penis. The sentence and prison should reflect what gender he was at the time of the offence, not what gender he claims to be now.
