Previous witnesses (can't remember who) already admitted they knew the tweet would probably be widely disseminated.

It was JK I believe.

Chrysanthemum5 · 23/05/2022 12:08

Things I now know about GCC as a result of this tribunal:
1- despite Twitter being a very well know social media platform, and despite GCC being desperate to protect their reputation on Twitter, no one in GCC uses it or understands it

2- if you need a QC and your case is likely to involve work in December don't ask GCC as they are all too busy then to spend any time on details

3 - 1.38am is a very difficult time for GCC

IHadToEducateMyself · 23/05/2022 12:09

They are so wriggly - "the relationship with Stonewall wasn't a factor for me, but it was for my colleague DDM"

but he did come out and say DDM had called it a key factor (mind you it seemed to be in an email in the bundle?)

rogdmum · 23/05/2022 12:10

It doesn’t even make any sense. He has occasionally retweeted a GCC tweet and said to read the thread, complete with the little spool of thread emoji. But tweet threads are a series of replies to the original tweet so he would have had to read the replies to know it was a tweet thread!!!!!

RMW intervening to complain about scrolling noise! From the witness! Is that really important?!

Chrysanthemum5 · 23/05/2022 12:12

Oh now even RMW is annoyed with MW's scrolling - never thought I'd agree with RMW

ifIwerenotanandroid · 23/05/2022 12:12

Cheers, MeanStreak & Clymene.

IHadToEducateMyself · 23/05/2022 12:12

note to self-
if ever involved in a legal proceeding online, get a fucking headset

Penguintears · 23/05/2022 12:12

First time I've heard RW speak 🤯

Birdsweepsin · 23/05/2022 12:12

Robin White's huge contribution to proceedings: "someone has an annoying scratchy mouse when they are scrolling. Please stop doing this, it keeps waking me up"

He wouldn't have to scroll so much if your shit bundle was correct. What a liberty.

You would imagine this is the bare minimum - I hate my headphones but I wear them because it makes it easier for others

FingonTheValiant · 23/05/2022 11:52

OMG he thinks a reply is private?!

Rather he is claiming as some sort of excuse or defence that he thinks a reply on twitter is private.

That is not credible to me. I don't have a twitter account and I know it is not an email that you have to press CC to share with others. I look at loads of tweets and see the replies. I am not a techie in any way and I have never even tweeted.

IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 23/05/2022 12:15

"hammering we were taking on Twitter" appears to be a pre-prepared line given the number of times it's been used

LipbalmOrKnickers · 23/05/2022 12:15

'Twitterstorm' and 'hammering' again - this is sounding as rehearsed as the footie reference earlier.

TastefulRainbowUnicorn · 23/05/2022 12:15

How much is the Tribunal allowed to read into the wriggliness?

I keep being overawed by the judge and her patience and professionalism and also her alertness and attention span! I think I'd have started with very visible eyerolls after a day of GCC evidence, by day 3 I'd be snapping at them to shut the fuck up and answer the damn question as it was asked, and by day 5 I'd have started looking up obscure statutes from the Middle Ages that would allow me to throw all of them in jail.

LipbalmOrKnickers · 23/05/2022 12:15

Great minds IdisagreeMrHochhauser

ifIwerenotanandroid · 23/05/2022 12:16

I've been curious about this point for a while now.

IHadToEducateMyself · 23/05/2022 12:16

we weren't predisposed to see Allison as transphobic, we were just tossing her under the bus 'cuz noise on Twitter (which none of us actually has a clue about btw)

IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 23/05/2022 12:16

The judge can decide how credible the witnesses are.

Ameanstreakamilewide · 23/05/2022 12:16

Stop it! 😂

Ereshkigalangcleg · 23/05/2022 12:16

How would it be a "Twitterstorm" if replies aren't public?

Helleofabore · 23/05/2022 12:17

Again with the 'hammering' and twitter storm from people who seem to not have any type of depth of how twitter works.

Instead, a marketing person (and I have a marketing background) told them it was a crisis and they all shot from the hip without getting any depth on what was actually happening.

And they are all beginning to realise the ramifications of not investigating it more for themselves.

Birdsweepsin · 23/05/2022 12:12

Robin White's huge contribution to proceedings: "someone has an annoying scratchy mouse when they are scrolling. Please stop doing this, it keeps waking me up"

She also spoke up to deny saying "Here we go!" the other week.
