The Tribunal started on 25th April at 10am. If you would like to view online you need to send a request for access as early as possible.

Send an email to

The subject heading of the email request should read

“MEDIA OR PUBLIC ACCESS REQUEST – Case number 2202172/2020 - Ms A Bailey – 25th April 2022.

Then ask for the pin for the online access.

You will be contacted with instructions on how to observe the hearing.

When joining the live tribunal please choose a non inflammatory/offensive name, everyone can see it in the chat - This is a court room, please behave accordingly.

The court chat function is there for official court purposes, not for observers, please don't use it unless you have a technical issue.

On the first page underneath where you put your screen name, select the video and mic that are not crossed out (top option), this is the courts vid and mic.

Isn't the Twitter storm the crisis she is referring to?

Nauticant - I think she referred to computer issues, resignations, financial issues, etc etc etc**

I might be wrong about the timing, but I think it was a computer problem threatening their system, and someone senior about to resign (?)

I’ve heard her talking about some serious computer system issues, but there was also talk about other pressures such as increased building rent etc, which left them in a potentially “parlous” position.

So what they should have done is look at whatAB had said and think about whether it was transphobic rather than rushing to send out a statement saying they were investigating

She was told there was a 'Twitter storm' and she's testified that she was concerned about what was happening in the 'Twittersphere' but she didn't know that anything was going on in Twitter?? How can she testify that?

Ahh, you mean GCC was in a crisis seemingly caused by their own mismanagement of themselves. Poor GCC.

But apparently they didn't send the statement in response to the Twitter storm so that's all fine and dandy. Do you think JK even believes half of what she is saying?

So is the EJ allowed to decide what is likely to be true of testimony, and is she allowed to take into account BC's points even if JK refutes them (especially with 'I can't remember....')?

And of course it was AB's fault for not saying she was being threatened even those she did make them aware

So they placed a huge amount of importance on there needing to be an investigation, but then did not conduct a thorough investigation.

Just a bundle rant.

Why are all the emails backwards? I think a trained chimp could have done a better job.

AB raises a concern about AS's tweets but because she isn't formalising it as a "complaint", it is disregarded.

But when concerns are raised about AB's tweets, then "if someone raises a concern and guidance applies you do need to look at it carefully"

And looking at it "carefully" apparently means not looking at basically anything at all - not at the responses to the tweets, not to AB's explanations, not to barristers in chambers who were equality law experts as it would take too much time to arrange.

Minor thing, but JK just misquoted AB's tweet - AB said 'gender extremists' not 'transgender'
