BC Fan Club: You know that moment when they go to a break & BC looks into his camera while slowly switching off? Am I the only one who waves him bye-bye?😄

Yes 😂

Lougle · 19/05/2022 15:44

JK just seems quite unprepared and as if she hasn't taken this process very seriously.

omahanebraska · 19/05/2022 15:35

Oh I missed that, what was said?

ResisterRex · 19/05/2022 15:46

It's a little strange that they were so worried about "the media". They cover such a wide range of areas of law - including areas that often have difficult coverage (claims against the police, protests, gypsy rights, immigration). They must have had to have navigated contested areas of law and difficult media coverage. There must be experience to draw on.

BoreOfWhabylon · 19/05/2022 15:46

WHAT DID THEY SAY ABOUT MUMSNET?!?

Lougle · 19/05/2022 15:47

For someone who doesn't intend to interrupt, she does a magnificient job!

IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 19/05/2022 15:47

That Garden Court was being talked about on Mumsnet and we were celebrating.

Another thing - JK says that they weren't taking a position when they said they were investigating Allison - bullshit, the mere announcement that someone is being investigated shows that a threshold has been reached to merit such investigation and causes reputational damage in and of itself. That's why you have to be absolutely sure when you decide to announce an investigation that you understand what they issue is, and you do what you can to allow the subject of complaint to remain anonymous pending investigation. Similar problem in many professions like teaching and medicine.

ickky · 19/05/2022 15:48

I do love that Mumsnet has been mentioned, as it was in Maya Forstater's hearing.

Aw. I still want to see her cat - I love that it was around the other day.

Ameanstreakamilewide · 19/05/2022 15:48

Chrysanthemum5 · 19/05/2022 15:29

So what they should have done is look at whatAB had said and think about whether it was transphobic rather than rushing to send out a statement saying they were investigating

Exactly. That would have been professional.

@Ameanstreakamilewide unfortunately professionalism seems in short supply at GCC
