I think it is JC. She's been logged in most days.

IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 20/05/2022 10:52

Now hammering next door...

nauticant · 20/05/2022 10:53

BC: Is it [the hammering] coming from you?
JK: Not from me personally.

tabbycatstripy · 20/05/2022 10:54

BC is right. The time delay isn’t his fault.

ickky · 20/05/2022 10:54

Fuck sake, there is now banging coming from JK's room again.

OP posts:
stimpyyouidiot · 20/05/2022 10:54

Christ. Can see EJ is getting concerned about time. BC not happy to be cut short.

User237845 · 20/05/2022 10:55

This feels tough for BC.

Lougle · 20/05/2022 10:56

BC pushing back against EJ's time constraint. Points out that no other witness has been curtailed and JK is a very important witness.

chilling19 · 20/05/2022 10:56

Not fair to cut BC's questioning

JK: Not from me personally.

This sounds like the sort of pedantic and irritating thing I’d say in cross examination 😬

IDidntKnowItWasAParty · 20/05/2022 10:58

I feel like BC has been building his line of questioning, and we are now reaching a very illuminating area of exploration - but BC has to rush this because of AH's time-constraints

Ereshkigalangcleg · 20/05/2022 10:58

I bet if this was a witness in a murder trial who was shllly shallying she'd have issues with it, especially if her cross examination time would be cut short because of it.

Ameanstreakamilewide · 20/05/2022 11:00

So would I, Barry! I'm a pain in the arse with things like that.

But it made Ben smile, so it was worth JK saying it.

nauticant · 20/05/2022 11:00

JK's comment about the hammering actually came across as a rare outbreak of levity.

dolorsit · 20/05/2022 11:01

Is there reason why JK wasn't scheduled earlier to give evidence seeing as JK had a criminal trial starting.

SecondRow · 20/05/2022 11:01

I haven't fully caught up on this thread yet but thank you to everyone for providing the colour and human interest angle to those of us who were not live-watching.

I am now watching for the first time (Ben Cooper fan club achievement unlocked!).

Just really quick observation, JK seems to be covering her mouth with her hand quite a bit. I know this is common enough when looking at a screen, resting your chin in your hand... but does this make a defensive impression? I imagine pop psych/body language experts might have an opinion...

nauticant · 20/05/2022 11:01

But it made Ben smile, so it was worth JK saying it.

Many people in the law love a joke based on word play.

TopKnotch · 20/05/2022 11:04

I'm also joining for the first time. If your icon is blank and there's a line through your microphone then I've done it right haven't I?

Yes

Pyjamagame · 20/05/2022 11:07

"Mr Cooper" Another addition to the bingo card.

IDidntKnowItWasAParty · 20/05/2022 11:07

"AB was tweeting inflammatory things about fascistic tactics of SW"

IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 20/05/2022 11:07

Only random I can see with camera on is C Morris if that's any of you. Looks like something over the camera.

nauticant · 20/05/2022 11:07

Will BC overrun EJ's guillotine of 11.10, meaning that the timing problem becomes AH's to sort out. AH can also curtail his examination, or seek to find another slot to carry it out.

DrBlackbird · 20/05/2022 11:08

I am sick to death of women's anger being used against us. To silence or discredit us or put us back in our place

Women are not allowed to be angry. Especially about their rights. Creates cognitive dissonance in others.

Other women angry = hysterical <thus unreasonable and can be ignored>
Men angry = masterful, agenic, and powerful

But… going by this tribunal and other examples, what’s interesting is how apparently angry women creates cognitive dissonance in other women. Even creating this dissonance in women who somehow feel entitled to express their own anger.

IDidntKnowItWasAParty · 20/05/2022 11:09

hasn't AH's junior, JR, done some of the questioning before?
