Who mentioned MN? Just someone on the chat or a real person at the tribunal?

BoreOfWhabylon · 19/05/2022 15:50

IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 19/05/2022 15:47

That Garden Court was being talked about on Mumsnet and we were celebrating.

Ooh! Who said that?

Ereshkigalangcleg · 19/05/2022 15:51

It was quoted in an email disapproving of us.

NoImAVeronica · 19/05/2022 15:51

ickky · 19/05/2022 15:48

All six of us?

😂

Ameanstreakamilewide · 19/05/2022 15:52

Touché, Chrys.

Lougle · 19/05/2022 15:52

Michelle Brewer resigned as a trustee of Gendered Intelligence on 30/01/2020.

Birdsweepsin · 19/05/2022 15:52

Michelle Brewer is a trustee of Gendered Intelligence - did we know this?

MoltenLasagne · 19/05/2022 15:53

Qq for anyone better informed - after Maya's successful appeal about gender critical views being "worthy of respect in a democratic society", do we know if the Equal Treatment Bench Book has been updated?

I'm just wondering if part of the issue here is that GCC are receiving messages about supposed transphobia from Stonewall, the initial (absurd) Maya ruling and the ETBB simultaneously that really made them think that AB would be classed as a bigot in the brave new world?

Ameanstreakamilewide · 19/05/2022 15:53

Brewer is as slippery as a bowl of eels.

yourhairiswinterfire · 19/05/2022 15:54

It's mentioned in Allison's statement.

(354) Separately to the tweets about me that they published, Garden Court also
wanted to put a statement on their website. This appears to have arisen from a request by Louise Hooper on behalf of the Trans Rights Working Group. She wrote to Heads of Chambers at 17:51 (Bundle Page 626-7). She complained that the launch of LGB Alliance was:

doing actual harm to the mental health of friends and others. We as a
chambers are clearly associated with the group in all of the papers (links
below) with Mumsnet celebrating GCs involvement with A Woman's
Place and their anti trans activities.

Cross post with you. Links aren't working but I've found a copy of their accounts and she's listed as a trustee who has resigned 30/01/2020.

nauticant · 19/05/2022 15:55

Whenever Michelle Brewer's name comes up, it often seems to relate to communications where she's being biased, nasty, and/or libellous. She's now a judge. I wonder if this stuff could ever come up in a recusal application in a case where she's a judge on the basis that she doesn't seem balanced and fair?

Chrysanthemum5 · 19/05/2022 15:55

I am getting tired of JK saying 'I'm sure you will take me to that point Mr Cooper' in a bored voice implying he's wasting everyone's time

Pyjamagame · 19/05/2022 15:55

That's the second spam message on these threads, does this indicate it is receiving a lot of traffic`?

She should recuse herself. I remember a custody case is the USA where the father lost all parental rights of their trans child. It turns out the Judge that made the ruling also had a trans child.

IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 19/05/2022 15:59

'It does stand for fuck's sake doesn't it?'

Ben is so polite when he's quite swearing Grin

LouiseBelchersBunnyEars · 19/05/2022 15:59

BC: it does stand for ‘for fucks sake, yes?’

love his tone when he says these

IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 19/05/2022 15:59

Quote swearing!

nauticant · 19/05/2022 16:00

JK: it was completely fine for me to comment FFS to Stephanie Harrison when dealing with the AB matter in a completely open and even-handed way.

TeenPlusCat · 19/05/2022 15:50

Judy Khan raised it in answer to a question.

chilling19 · 19/05/2022 16:01

BC - it does stand For Fuck's Sake doesn't it? He is having a fine time with the sweary language and Lesbians knickers 😂😂😂😂

NoImAVeronica · 19/05/2022 16:01

JK: FFS was a private thing someone in chambers would say if something went wrong.

BC: It does stand for for fuck's sake though doesn't it

JK: yes.

😂
