The Tribunal started on 25th April at 10am. If you would like to view online you need to send a request for access as early as possible.

Send an email to

[email protected]

The subject heading of the email request should read

“MEDIA OR PUBLIC ACCESS REQUEST – Case number 2202172/2020 - Ms A Bailey – 25th April 2022.

Then ask for the pin for the online access.

You will be contacted with instructions on how to observe the hearing.

When joining the live tribunal please choose a non inflammatory/offensive name, everyone can see it in the chat - This is a court room, please behave accordingly.

The court chat function is there for official court purposes, not for observers, please don't use it unless you have a technical issue.

On the first page underneath where you put your screen name, select the video and mic that are not crossed out (top option), this is the courts vid and mic.

On the next page select NONE on the drop down windows for vid and mic, these are your own video and mic.

You must be muted so as to not disturb the hearing.

Slightly off topic but thought you might like this little gem by the Spectator.

This is really good piece by Raquel Rosario Sanchez which I don't think I've seen posted:

thecritic.co.uk/the-remarkable-poise-of-allison-bailey/

Great piece. RRS is a talented writer.

Appalonia · 19/05/2022 08:39

Wow that's a brilliant article, thanks for sharing.

Manicsfan · 19/05/2022 08:58

I'd like to second Sam Ryder for the film. As long as he can do the laser stare.
Sending love to Allison - you are a legend and we are all behind you!

IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 19/05/2022 09:03

Would Sam Ryder agree to a hair cut though or could we sort that out in post production with CGI?

NoImAVeronica · 19/05/2022 09:10

Like the Cavill disappearing 'tache? I think he could be persuaded - this has Oscar nom written all over it.

Manicsfan · 19/05/2022 09:10

Haircut mandatory.
As is the wren.

IloveHolby · 19/05/2022 09:28

Thanks to everyone for contributions on this thread - I couldn't watch yesterday, but reading through here has put me in the picture, it sounds like BC got MS tied up in knots.

Does it start at 09:30 today?

NoImAVeronica · 19/05/2022 09:29

Yep, waiting to go in now.

IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 19/05/2022 09:31

She looks nervous. Judy Khan I assume. Still says MHL

EmbarrassingHadrosaurus · 19/05/2022 09:32

RRS captures it so well.

The motto at Garden Court Chambers is “do right, fear no one”. Apparently, nothing prepared them for that most daunting opponent: a black woman who knew her worth, who knew her rights and who refused to go down without a fight.

IcakethereforeIam · 19/05/2022 09:33

@Gladioli23 thank you, had a quick look, will get the child to check it out.

At least Allison understood that motto, even if no one else did.

CriticalCondition · 19/05/2022 09:34

Gorgeous birdsong in the background.

nauticant · 19/05/2022 09:34

It's positive to hear EJ speak also about the productive ways in which observers have been using the chat function.

Zebracat · 19/05/2022 09:35

Loved the RRS piece, moved me to tears. Allisons dignity and poise whilst colleagues and former friends have continued to blame and disrespect her has been extraordinary. And Raquel really captures that, she is a very talented writer.
Just wondering though, RRS refers to Kirrin Medcalf as a white male, when we know him to be trans/ non-binary. Is this misgendering? Genuine question.

tabbycatstripy · 19/05/2022 09:36

Really inappropriate for JK to give evidence with MHL’s name under her face. FFS.

EmbarrassingHadrosaurus · 19/05/2022 09:38

KM states the preferred pronouns are male singular and plural, iirc, so RRS is using pronouns in line with KM's wishes.

As someone who mainly works from alone home I’m really going to miss these work buddies and their support creatures when the case finishes. It’s almost like having work colleagues, albeit slightly tetchy, argumentative colleagues.

StormyWaterCloud · 19/05/2022 09:39

I've tried logging in for the first time, I can see the chat box and a black screen saying no one is presenting??

CatsOperatingInGangs · 19/05/2022 09:41

Stormy you might want to try another browser. I find it does that to me when using Chrome on the iPad. I use Safari which seems to be less problematic

Motorina · 19/05/2022 09:41

I've just logged in - if anyone can see/hear me please say?

Motorina · 19/05/2022 09:42

Also can anyone tell me who this witness is please?

Ameanstreakamilewide · 19/05/2022 09:43

You're on mute/invisible, Motorina.👍
