The Tribunal started on 25th April at 10am. If you would like to view online you need to send a request for access as early as possible.

Send an email to

[email protected]

The subject heading of the email request should read

“MEDIA OR PUBLIC ACCESS REQUEST – Case number 2202172/2020 - Ms A Bailey – 25th April 2022.

Then ask for the pin for the online access.

You will be contacted with instructions on how to observe the hearing.

When joining the live tribunal please choose a non inflammatory/offensive name, everyone can see it in the chat - This is a court room, please behave accordingly.

The court chat function is there for official court purposes, not for observers, please don't use it unless you have a technical issue.

On the first page underneath where you put your screen name, select the video and mic that are not crossed out (top option), this is the courts vid and mic.

On the next page select NONE on the drop down windows for vid and mic, these are your own video and mic.

You must be muted so as to not disturb the hearing.

There is also live tweeting from

EJ Goodman is so polite.

I could feel 'yeah, alright, Miss Omambala!' bubbling up on my tongue.

IDidntKnowItWasAParty · 18/05/2022 16:15

What a day 😳

IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 18/05/2022 16:19

So Judy Khan potentially starting this afternoon was totally pulled out of the bag with no warning wasn't it? Unless I missed that bit too when @Gabcsika was in Lidl. I thought there was discussion about someone else starting first and then SH loudly disagreeing to give evidence on certain days due to clashes with exams

ifIwerenotanandroid · 18/05/2022 16:22

I'm so gutted to have missed Allison's days. I thought it would be difficult to get access, so I didn't try until this week.

I find the hearing goes best for me when I crochet or paint at the same time. That keeps one bit of my brain occupied & allows me to concentrate on the words. I find seeing it too distracting, although some of MS's time, yesterday & today, HAD to be seen.

How does everybody else listen to it?

User237845 · 18/05/2022 16:22

So Judy Khan tomorrow. Have we had any indication of how long she might take and who might be after her? Missed most of MHL's evidence as needed to get some stuff done. This trial is not good for productivity!

IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 18/05/2022 16:24

I have to go in to work either tomorrow or Friday. Which is the best day of this to miss? Is the tribunal sitting once AH leaves to go off to his funeral at 11.30 on Friday?

Don't know if this has already been linked to/posted but it's worth a read.

I was working and listening this afternoon and if I work til about 10pm tonight I have tomorrow and Friday morning to watch the tribunal. Then I must get at least half the weeks work sent off to head office by Friday afternoon.

Bring MS back on the stand!!!!

RocketPanda · 18/05/2022 16:37

@john20 I get to rock up to my office two days a week to piss about with reports and glare at a skip bag that I can see from the window that's been full and sat outside a house for the past 8 weeks. It's annoying me.

Lio · 18/05/2022 16:38

@ifIwerenotanandroid I'm also a tribunal crocheter 🙂

RocketPanda · 18/05/2022 16:38

MS is probably stocking pins in a miniature BC voodoo doll.

IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 18/05/2022 16:40

Judy Khan is only tomorrow as she's got her murder starting on Monday. She could possibly spill over into Friday morning but Hochhauser has to leave for a funeral at 11.30. Funeral presumed to be unconnected to the murder.

MissPollysFitDolly · 18/05/2022 16:40

Is Judy Khan another QC, what part did she play in all this?

I should think the tribunal will still sit, Idisagree, with JR in AH's seat. He doesn't want to miss any bit of SH QC, her evidence must be critical.

JK is one of the current Heads of Chambers I think, along with SH and one other.

‘Funeral presumed to be unconnected to the murder.’

I wouldn’t be so sure.

I listen to it while I'm doing other things. Last week I painted this while I was listening to it!

Hi!

I tried tidying up while listening, but that was too distracting. (That's my excuse, anyway.)

Appalonia · 18/05/2022 16:54

Sorry that came out sideways!

Emotionalsupportviper · 18/05/2022 16:56

Manicsfan · 18/05/2022 11:59

This case is professionally humiliating for the QCs who have given evidence. GCC will be the talk of the steamie.
They know this and it's one of the reason they are pure raging while giving evidence.

I have to agree.

If I was looking for a set of chambers to give legal work to, they would be well down my list, below Gomez Addams conducting his own case in court in "Addams Family Values"

They come across as inept, ill-prepared, arrogantprjetty damn useless all round.

ifIwerenotanandroid · 18/05/2022 16:57

Appalonia, that's beautiful!

Won't be showing my artwork: I was getting to know some new ink blocks I bought this week. Great fun, but I'm definitely not in control of them yet. (Inktense)

SpindleInTheWind · 18/05/2022 16:57

@Appalonia it's a fitting homage to My Lovely Horse! Wonderful.

Meanwhile, I've been editing the same piece of work all week, gawping at this thread agog.

Clymene · 18/05/2022 16:59

Did anyone else think it was very easy for MS to follow AH's long questions but seemed fiendishly difficult for her to understand BC?

The reason her questioning went on for so long is entirely her fault. I am sorry she was a good friend to Allison. It must be very painful listening to that.

SpindleInTheWind · 18/05/2022 16:51

Ah yes sorry, it must have been JK that AH didn't want to miss.
