The Tribunal started on 25th April at 10am. If you would like to view online you need to send a request for access as early as possible.

Send an email to

[email protected]

The subject heading of the email request should read

“MEDIA OR PUBLIC ACCESS REQUEST – Case number 2202172/2020 - Ms A Bailey – 25th April 2022.

Then ask for the pin for the online access.

You will be contacted with instructions on how to observe the hearing.

When joining the live tribunal please choose a non inflammatory/offensive name, everyone can see it in the chat - This is a court room, please behave accordingly.

The court chat function is there for official court purposes, not for observers, please don't use it unless you have a technical issue.

On the first page underneath where you put your screen name, select the video and mic that are not crossed out (top option), this is the courts vid and mic.
On the next page select NONE on the drop down windows for vid and mic, these are your own video and mic.

You must be muted so as to not disturb the hearing.

I’m glad it’s not just me 😆

DifficultBloodyWoman · 16/05/2022 11:33

Well, I certainly did and now I am wracking my brain for slightly shady alternatives.

Please could someone explain how ‘Nauticant’ could be, ahem, ‘misinterpreted’? Thank you.

Yes please, I haven't a clue what it means!

IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 16/05/2022 11:37

Just tried to get the met office app open on my phone to see if it's going to rain and typed in Stonewall.

Cannot multitask it seems.

Cuck00soup · 16/05/2022 11:37

Thank You for the new thread.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 16/05/2022 11:38

Not just you!

tabbycatstripy · 16/05/2022 11:38

I think they thought ‘nauticant’ could be otherwise read as ‘naughty cunt’. But never ever would I ever read it like that.

TastefulRainbowUnicorn · 16/05/2022 11:39

I get that the unprofessionalism might perhaps be tactically useful for Stonewall.

But why are their lawyers going along with it? Doesn’t it backfire on their professional reputations?

Pyjamagame · 16/05/2022 11:39

Judge's phone going off. Not sure why she would be in a room with a phone that was switched on.

yourhairiswinterfire · 16/05/2022 11:40

Please could someone explain how ‘Nauticant’ could be, ahem, ‘misinterpreted’? Thank you.

I think the person/people complaining are reading it as 'naughty cunt'.

BIWI · 16/05/2022 11:40

Thanks for the new thread @ickky

Ah, ok thanks. Grin

TickTickTock · 16/05/2022 11:42

Is there a break at the moment? I logged in to hear the tribunal but can't hear anything..

Ereshkigalangcleg · 16/05/2022 11:42

No it's on, I would leave and try again.

VestofAbsurdity · 16/05/2022 11:43

NoImAVeronica · 16/05/2022 11:34

Imagine Bob Hoskins saying it. Or indeed Martin Reuby... 😉

I've now got an ear worm of Bob Hoskins saying something disgusting, like betrayal😆

TickTickTock · 16/05/2022 11:43

Thank you, do I enter with camera and mic off?

Charley50 · 16/05/2022 11:44

Presumably this person knew their was a lot of reading and could have brought along their own coloured overlay, as an alternative to coloured paper.

IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 16/05/2022 11:44

No as that will cut the audio and camera feed from the tribunal.

Select none at the second stage to turn yours off.

TastefulRainbowUnicorn · 16/05/2022 11:45

Really, really weird that someone not nauticant logged in with that name and someone else complained about it, as if orchestrated. But not at all surprising that TRAs read the name like that. 🙄 They would, wouldn’t they?

GrimDamnFanjo · 16/05/2022 11:45

lol - thanks - I've led a sheltered life!

Might not have one. I think BC has given the references in advance. There aren't 6000 pages printed out there.

TastefulRainbowUnicorn · 16/05/2022 11:47

I think BC has given the references in advance.

Is that not giving an unfair advantage?

Mollyollydolly · 16/05/2022 11:48

If these tribunals are the new norm they need to develop rules about camera shots. It's highly unfair in my opinion that the vast majority of witnesses have been on a Mid shot when you can of course see their facial reactions, while the Stonewall witnesses look like they're in the next village. It might seem a small point but it creates an advantage for them and shouldn't be allowed. Another example of dirty tactics or pure incompetence.

awkwardoldlady · 16/05/2022 11:49

Props to nauticant for the awesome name...DifficultBloodyWoman, it's a very similar concept to your own, it's all in the pronunciation But start with nauti sounds the same as naughty and go from there <3

Ameanstreakamilewide · 16/05/2022 11:49

I couldn't possibly comment, Tasteful...

tabbycatstripy · 16/05/2022 11:49

‘GrimDamnFanjo’ - 😂
