The Tribunal started on 25th April at 10am. If you would like to view online you need to send a request for access as early as possible.

Send an email to

[email protected]

The subject heading of the email request should read

“MEDIA OR PUBLIC ACCESS REQUEST – Case number 2202172/2020 - Ms A Bailey – 25th April 2022.

Then ask for the pin for the online access.

You will be contacted with instructions on how to observe the hearing.

When joining the live tribunal please choose a non inflammatory/offensive name, everyone can see it in the chat - This is a court room, please behave accordingly.

The court chat function is there for official court purposes, not for observers, please don't use it unless you have a technical issue.

On the first page underneath where you put your screen name, select the video and mic that are not crossed out (top option), this is the courts vid and mic.
On the next page select NONE on the drop down windows for vid and mic, these are your own video and mic.

You must be muted so as to not disturb the hearing.

Short break till 12.40.

IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 16/05/2022 12:35

Thank god for that. I've needed a wee for ages.

MsMarvellous · 16/05/2022 12:36

IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 16/05/2022 12:28

All the support person is doing is finding the right page and passing it across.

Thanks

IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 16/05/2022 12:37

Someone hasn't switched their microphone off.

Coatandhat · 16/05/2022 12:37

@Ameanstreakamilewide that is my impression too.

BoreOfWhabylon · 16/05/2022 12:39

Placemarking. Thanks for thread.

Appalonia · 16/05/2022 12:42

"Lets not let Bailey get away with it". Shameful

CriticalCondition · 16/05/2022 12:43

Oh, so Mr Hochhauser is taking over from his junior to do the re-examination. Interesting.

Oh really? I missed that as I was in the kitchen. That's very illuminating.

BC is very gentle with SK. You can see that he can see what we can all see about this person.

Yes, it is highly impressive how neutral he sounds when asking really quite damning questions. The polar opposite of the hectoring AH.

I have quite a crush on BC now.

Appalonia · 16/05/2022 12:45

Of course S K knew T* was a term of abuse!

nauticant · 16/05/2022 12:47

Ask him if it's his opinion now BC!

IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 16/05/2022 12:47

Here we go again. Funny how none of them use social media and have no idea that terf is used in a derogatory way. Even as they're using it in a derogatory way.

Sorry what's the context for this, i keep getting distracted by work.

IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 16/05/2022 12:48

Thankfully I had my microphone muted as I typed that comment 😂

SK put it on their FB page.

nauticant · 16/05/2022 12:51

The casual use of abusive and dehumanising language is shameful when it's read out. Had that been me found out doing something like this I'd spend years cringing over it. I just can't see people in the future looking back at this kind of abuse and applauding.

IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 16/05/2022 12:52

SK is currently denying that writing "terfy barrister" wasn't meant in a negative way at all.

IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 16/05/2022 12:52

Double negative there. Sorry. Hopefully you get the gist.

ExMachinaDeus · 16/05/2022 12:53

Thanks for this thread. I'm supposed to be working so can't watch the tribunal, and I find the tweeting not as clear as catching up here.

But I'm just picking up on the chat here and in the Chat of the online feed of the Tribunal about your screen name @nauticant I'm just a bit shocked (too strong a word, but startled anyway) that those simply watching the Tribunal online, and not participants in the actual hearing, are permitted to use the chat!

That doesn't seem productive, and could be really undermining of the process.

Chrysanthemum5 · 16/05/2022 12:54

SK is just trying to avoid answering any question - astonishing how these well paid and educated people can never remember anything.

Support lawyer is the same one who was with KM

Ameanstreakamilewide · 16/05/2022 12:54

Last week, BC read out some offensive Tweets using Terf, and one of them used the words 'cunt wipe'.

Said in BC's mellow, no nonsense voice, inside a courtroom - it brought it into even sharper relief.

nauticant · 16/05/2022 12:55

SK trying to present this as a simple disagreement with gender critical opinion. The tribunal surely won't miss that and realise what it signifies: that Stonewall etc are so confident in being right that they will abuse and not even be aware of doing so.

Emotionalsupportviper · 16/05/2022 12:56

Re: MB

Does anyone know how much authority over witnesses a tribunal judge has?

In a criminal trial I think a witness can be compelled to attend (otherwise contempt of court) even if they end up having to be treated as a hostile witness, but of course a tribunal isn't a criminal proceeding, so if a witness refuses to appear, can anything be done about it? And how much of a negative inference can the judge draw from that refusal?

FetchezLaVache · 16/05/2022 12:57

Does it keep freezing for anyone else?? It's most frustrating, I keep missing details!
