I just realised too that I did not conform to biological or societal norms/expectations about being born I was a very very premature baby, and not expected to survive.

My real due date was supposed to be bonfire night, and I've just realised today's date. I did naff all to celebrate my natal birthday this year.

I don't think I can alter my birth certificate to reflect the date I should have been born, but I expect you all to accept that this is my actual birthday and celebrate accordingly. I'm appreciating all the neighbours that have laid on fireworks for me

I read your thread and the ones linked to it Eresh and saw a comment I made back in 2015 regarding how putting TW in female prisons would inevitably lead to rapists and sex offenders being incarcerated with women if said offenders declare they are women and look what happened.

Tangentially related to this - did anyone else hear a bloke on You&Yours earlier whining about discrimination - he's trying to find 'rent your room' type of accommodation , and was most miffed that they were allowed to specify women only which cut down his options by about 50% because of his 'gender', oh, and it made him feel bad or some such. He didn't get too much sympathy - people renting out space in their own homes can specify anything except race.

I didn't but grrrrrr.

ewww - that reminds me of when I was a student looking for a room to rent and responded to an advert. The guy I spoke was very friendly and chatty and had a lovely room available for me and then happened to mention that he 'met most of his girlfriends' through renting a room out to them.

I mentioned that I had a boyfriend and was looking for a room for both of us (it was a double advertised) and as if by magic the room was suddenly unavailable. Funny that.

I know a few guys who get very very offended if they see job ads and such that specify women only. Why is that allowed, its obvious sexism..its making out all men are monsters when I am not, bet there would be hell on if anyone specified male only, men can do their jobs as well as, if not better than women, and so on

It is quite a common TRA tactic to pose with or post pictures of weapons. They never directly threaten violence, only imply it so they can't be banned from social media. They provoke and then report all the angry responses.

I'm not (yet) banned from declaring that my home is a single sex space.

I decided that a couple of years ago, and it caused problems with my few male friends (I was ok with them hanging out in my garden, but not in my/their home, and didn't know them brilliantly well) - once they were told I was uncomfortable inviting them in, they seem to think they immediately had to persuade me otherwise / make out they're a victim of my meanness. I got the inevitable NAMALT/I AM NOT LIKE THAT lectures too.

I had to ask the police to remove a particularly insistent one from my doorstep once, because he wouldn't leave when I asked him to, and I freak out when men get like that.

It doesn't tend to happen with women because it's rarer for me to feel unsafe with them, and the women in my home who I HAVE felt unsafe with in the past have usually been fine with leaving/leaving me alone.
