I know we have 'known' this for a while, but this is now their official response. How many 'inappropriate' incidents will be necessary before they see sense?

So, what's their provision for women who don't feel comfortable in mixed sex changing rooms?

ShesDressedInBlackAgain · 31/10/2019 13:40

'Intentional offence' always reminds me of 'I was just scratching my groinal fungal infection in a children's playground' bloke.

TheClitterati · 31/10/2019 13:45

wow just wow.
Way to shoot yourself in the foot M&S.

SeaRabbit · 31/10/2019 13:56

Oh god another one.

I've sent an email. Yet another email to a misguided company. I don't want to have to boycott them as I like their shortbread but if I have to, I will...

81Byerley · 31/10/2019 13:56

All their changing cubicles are lockable...what is the problem?

littlbrowndog · 31/10/2019 13:56

They are failing anyway.

I wonder who are the most people that shop there 🤦‍♀️

Or did

SeaRabbit · 31/10/2019 14:02

Byerly I actually quite like their bras, so go into their grotty lingerie changing rooms. They locks don't always work, and sometimes I am talking to the assistant through a partly opened door, half dressed. The doors don't reach to the ground. I also don't like the idea that men can be in there getting sexual kicks from being there, especially when there are young girls/women ther.

Househunt1 · 31/10/2019 14:02

Searabbit like their shortbread

hahahahaha!!

littlbrowndog · 31/10/2019 14:03

How are you meant to lock a small cubicle when you have a buggy and a couple of toddlers.

Same as loos.

Can’t fit them all in

Are we just meant to stay at home ?

jadefinch · 31/10/2019 14:03

It's normally just the thriving companies who can afford to go woke, go broke. M&S are struggling!

Ali1cedowntherabbithole · 31/10/2019 14:05

Ah well. My shares aren't worth a lot. Time to sell them, I think.

Perhaps I could top up a few holes with the proceeds.

Glenthezombiebattlingostrich · 31/10/2019 14:07

There goes Christmas dinner.

I'll be emailing them too.

You get measured for bras in M&S! Children get measured ffs. And you open the door to ask an assistant to find you the same bra in a different size. .no WAY should their changing rooms be unisex! Wtf is wrong with them? Don't they know who their customers are?

littlbrowndog · 31/10/2019 14:09

How come these companies never give a toss about young families ?

Chupchup · 31/10/2019 14:10

Isn't this against the law? Aren't they breaking the Equality Act? Changing rooms have to be designated by sex? Can someone please explain?

BiggerBoat1 · 31/10/2019 14:11

They have lockable cubicles. Really don't understand the fuss.

Try stuff on at home if you're that bothered.

littlbrowndog · 31/10/2019 14:12

So bigger boats

See my point about having a buggy and toddlers ?

BiggerBoat1 · 31/10/2019 14:15

So little brown dog

See my point about trying on stuff at home

Starryskiesinthesky · 31/10/2019 14:16

I share many concerns about trans / gender identity issues but think this isn’t one of them. Doors lock or you can try on at home. I think focusing on these minor things detracts from the real issues.

littlbrowndog · 31/10/2019 14:19

So stay at home ?

littlbrowndog · 31/10/2019 14:21

It’s th3 minor things that add up

nocluewhattodoo · 31/10/2019 14:21

Well I'm glad I just bought a few more pairs of the jeggings I like from them, I won't be returning. I'm a pretty prolific M&S customer for men's, children's and women's clothing as well as food. And as I'm mid twenties they would have had a lot more money out of me over the years. I'll go to Waitrose for our Christmas food now

BiggerBoat1 · 31/10/2019 14:22

Nothing's stopping you visiting the shop, but if you're that fussy about changing rooms or find them awkward with toddlers just take the items home and try them on.

Hornets · 31/10/2019 14:24

BiggerBoat1

Supposing you're there for a bra fitting? You can't do that at home can you.
