Someone compared the debate which happens on here with two sides arguing about religion in that it is highly unlikely one side will ever convert the other to their way of thinking. It is an emotive issue with feelings versus facts.
Live and let live is what many on here would adhere to....but when one group's rights will erode another's, that stance becomes problematic -
I am not against legislation that would make someone's life easier but when that same legislation allows abuse of the system overall, it is fair to question it.

I don't hate trans people but I do strongly dislike it when people attempt to erase my rights and the recognition of my sex class as a distinct group of people.

As a lesbian I object to my identity being coopted by mostly straight women to make an argument so vehemently opposed to human empathy and understanding.

Well that sentence could be about a man, with a penis, objecting to people with vaginas who sleep with other people with vaginas.

If you can't define lesbian, woman, or straight, you've got a problem.

I don't hate trans people, I don't think the vast majority of people on this forum do either.

I have masses of empathy for anyone suffering gender dysphoria, it must be soul destroying, and they deserve help to either overcome it or adjust their lives so it is bearable.

However, what I don't believe, and will not be cajoled, scolded, coerced or bullied into believing, is that human beings can literally change sex, or that there are 'pink' or 'blue' brains/souls/inner essence.

I also do not believe it is fair, just, or right, that anybody can self ID their way into another sex class.

Hate is a strong word. I don’t hate anyone OP. I dislike TRA’s for their immature behaviour towards GC people (the actual violence, the abusive language, the lies, the attempts at control). I have every sympathy for someone with gender dysphoria, and feel that everyone should be able to break free from sex stereotypes that are put upon us. However, I will not be forced to lie because it might upset someone else’s feelings.

I am pro-woman, gender critical and I am fed up with the appropriation of my sex.

I used to think the same op but spend some time hearing people's concerns and be open minded

I am (relatively) new here myself and I have noticed a pattern; there are quite a few threads like this one where the OP accuses people here of hatred and/or bigotry but then does not engage at all. Now then, if I think I am right about something then I want to put my case. Why won't trans advocates do this? (I think I know the answer) Why is it always #nodebate? Anyone would think that trans ideology won't stand up to scrutiny?

Anyway, as I said before, I've only been on here for a bit so please can someone point to a thread on here where one of the OPs DOES engage and can put a coherent case for trans people? Because if such a thread exists I haven't found it yet.
