Transwoman takes women's world record

Rachel McKinnon has tweeted that Rachel has taken the women's 200m indoor cycling world record.

It makes me so angry for the women who have trained so hard to have to compete against male bodied athletes.

Someone needs to post it in the will never happen thread.

boatyardblues · 13/10/2018 15:33

Damn. Should have waited another couple of hours before completing the GRA consultation. This would have been a perfect example in my response to the sports question. Bumping for others who have yet to complete their submission.

LizzieSiddal · 13/10/2018 15:34

The authorities won’t do anything so imo Women athletes should stop completing. They’d only have to do it for a couple of meetings, the no shows would get huge publicity and the general public would be outrage at what’s happening.

MagicMix · 13/10/2018 15:37

Cheat.

scepticalwoman · 13/10/2018 15:38

Twitter's not going their way Grin

VickyEadie · 13/10/2018 15:38

Women's sport is lucrative - of course men are going to do this.

Methe · 13/10/2018 15:38

It’s like a bloody Stephen King book or an episode of Goosebumps isn’t it

It's the end of women's sport and the start of 'Not good enough to compete with the men so pretending' sport.

2rebecca · 13/10/2018 15:41

People with Y chromosomes should be banned from women's competitive sports or all women's records will soon be held by people with Y chromosomes and girls and women will stop bothering to try. I think eventually the public in general will rise up against this unfair nonsense but in the short term a generation of female athletes are stuffed.

WokerThanWoke · 13/10/2018 15:43

Yes if all the female competitors pulled out and just left the transwomen competing it would make a point. I don't blame them for keeping their heads down though.

BiologyIsReal · 13/10/2018 15:44

No you haven't Rachel. You've just cheated, that's all.

TheCrowFromBelow · 13/10/2018 15:44

I don’t think it was at a competition, so although Rachel is claiming they broke the WR it hasn’t actually happened anywhere official.
So - a nice fantasy for Rachel to get philosophical over, and a fantastic illustration of why transwomen should stay out of women’s sport.

MsJeminaPuddleduck · 13/10/2018 15:46

Somewhat ironically McKinnon 'teaches a class on ethics and inclusion at Charleston'.

Nice one Rachel taking sport away from women and girls
Nice

VickyEadie · 13/10/2018 15:47

"Ethics and inclusion" though.

TheCrowFromBelow · 13/10/2018 15:47

Oh I misread the tweet.

Looking at Instagram it was real Sad

And broken 10 seconds later Grin

OvaHere · 13/10/2018 15:48

This doesn't look to be anything official just in their head. So there's that at least.

I have no idea how they can live with the shame and cowardice of ruining women's sport. I guess the narcissistic idiots just revel in it though.

GraceTheDisgrace · 13/10/2018 15:48

I just realised who this is... saw a YT video by RM explaining why everyone should be allowed to compete in women's sports. Well there's no bias there, surely Hmm

A very sad day for sportsmanship, fairness, and opportunity for girls and women.

SausageOnAFork · 13/10/2018 15:50

Well women clearly need to try harder then. We’ve had it too easy all these years.

ADastardlyThing · 13/10/2018 15:52

I love that a woman said "nope, dude" and beat them straight afterwards :)

DisrespectfulAdultFemale · 13/10/2018 16:08

I love that a woman said "nope, dude" and beat them straight afterwards

Really? That is fabulous.

ADastardlyThing · 13/10/2018 16:10

Tbf I don't know if they said that, I identify as someone who believes it was said though.

DisrespectfulAdultFemale · 13/10/2018 16:13

I am wholly agnostic on the "nope, dude" aspect; what I would like to know is if the record was beaten 10 seconds later.
