Woo hoo 2.8lb down!! That's with 3 meals out (I did try to make good choices) and 2 slices of cake. Back on tracking today. Here's to a good week for all!

Well done to everyone who has lost and well done to those you have climbed back on the wagon, onwards and downwards!! I lost another 2lbs this week (even after the wedding) which means 7lb lost in total (although 4lbs officially at the meetings). I tried to behave at the wedding (foodwise Wink ) Ate the roast dinner, gave away the profiteroles and avoided the evening "beige" buffet - HOWEVER, I did drink rather a lot! Anyways, apart from a big party in a couple of weeks, I don't seem to have anymore temptations ahead so am going to track away. I made the Chicken Tikka Salad last night which is a must - very very tasty. Had one portion last night, and I have another today for lunch with some brown basmati rice. Mmmmmm, I suspect it won't make it past 10am! Grin
Does anyone else have any favourite recipes that they would like to share? I could do with some inspiration. Keep going everyone..... xx

Well I went away a few days and I cam back 1 1/2 pounds heavier. So I have since lost 1/2 pound am hoping to get the other 1 pound off by Tues as I started my diet on that day of the week.

Somehow it seems harder this week as I have been starving don't know why? I think I need to eat more apples and have smaller portions.

I am still doing No Count as I enjoy not counting or worrying about points. I eat dried prunes daily as part of my 5 points allowance on top.

I really do hope I lose the pound by Tuesday morning - I am one of those who goes on the scales every morning as it is!

As for favourite recipes well it isn't a recipe as such but ds and I absolutely love tucking in to a jacket potato in the oven and then diet baked beans every night. We have always used the diet baked beans as they have reduced sugar and salt. It is one of the few things my 11 year will actually eat and leave a thoroughly clean plate without complaint!

Hope everybody else is getting on nicely.

Is Weight Watchers safe in pregnancy?
Midwife recommend Slimming World but tried it before & found it difficult

I tried Slimming World years ago and in three whole weeks never lost a single pound!

I'm told that Weightwatchers isn't appropriate whilst pregnant. However you can join after your six week check.

I agree Flower. I lost two stone beginning of last year using WW online, then plateaued so switched to Slimming World, put on a stone! Have pulled out all the stops now and doing WW online and attending meetings. I love the meetings now, used to dread the SW meetings.

I'm making Pasta Puttanesca tonight from the Hairy Dieters book - 6sp per serving (with pasta!). Yummy. Good luck everyone weighing in x

Crap week 1.8lb on!! I've had my first period since giving birth so I'm trying to blame that but in all honesty I've just rated rubbish. Back on it since yesterday. I've got Californian crispy spiced chicken for tea with pepper onion and courgette stir fry and golden vegetable rice for dinner.

I have now gone back to the weight I was before my 4 day break away last week so am sort of making progress albeit in a roundabout way!

It is quite challenging as I need to remember to fill up on apples and water. That has helped me in the past..... I do get hungry though so it is quite hard!

Damn it, the last couple of weeks have finally caught up on me in big style! Gain of a massive 4lbs in one week.......back to it

Flowerpower41 · 23/08/2016 11:29

Ooops Bernie! Anyway I am sure you can step up to it. That's the trouble with summer, going out etc/having a life lol.

Thanks Flower - it was a bit of shock, but a shock I needed I think. You can't cheat and expect to still lose can you! I am definately back on it this week, posting my meals on the facebook group and exercising everyday. Weighing in on Sunday this week as bank holiday on Monday x

Good luck Bernie. I am feeling a bit dispirited as many a day I am simply starving. I think I will just have to eat loads of apples instead! I bought more apples at Tescos today. I prefer the No Count but might have to reconsider .....

At the end of the day perhaps dieting simply means far less eating and plenty of water and going without! Sigh.

hi folks I know it has been done a million times before....but how does WW compare to SW?
did the old WW points and quite liked it.......the new regime seems harsh!!

Flowerpower41 · 30/08/2016 15:37

I think WW these days is v strict with chocolate but then again it isn't good for us so I don't mind from that angle.

Having said that I ate a mars bar and a packet of crisps from my 'additional points' at the weekend - and I only lost a pound in weight this week! Although it may be fluid retention ...

::sneaks back in, 8lbs over goal::

back on the WW wagon after a summer of eating too well and now paying for it. I got to 10--2 or a bit under in May, but I am seemingly unable to maintain :( My goal is 10 stone, or actually 9-something.

Sorry can't help on the SW comparison as never done it

I agree that the Slimming world meetings used to drag on for hours and were completely boring! Who wants to know how many times someone has had a poo in the last week! (That is actually a conversation that was had in one of my meetings!) I am back on if now after having a holiday throughout August. I have got a Motivacelet, which is decent if you like a visual tracker. So I have taken off the counters which I have put on and I am ready to take them back off again!! X

Hope this is ok to post here.

I had a rubbish night food wise. DS just wouldn't be put down. Now today I'm just on the crap eating again. Going to log everything for today and try and pull things back inline as I'm going out on the weekend.

I'm baaaack. First meeting tonight in 8 weeks.
I have however completed couch to 5k which hopefully will have covered some of the eating.

Well done on the couch to 5k!

My eating managed to get worse yesterday. I don;t know what is wrong with me! I've changed my weight in day to saturday so I can have the weekly points for going out. I'm pretty sure this is the wrong thing to do but i'm doing it anyway

Hi everyone
I've joined WW online today.
I need to lose just over a stone.
It's crept on after a horrifically stressful period of my life.
I'm still very stressed and feeling like its a struggle and I seem to live of toast.
I'm so tired and unmotivated but I do walk my dogs once or twice a day for 45 mins each time.
I've had a look at the app but I don't really understand it that well.
How do you know what free foods are?
Where is this information?

Thanks.

4lb in 8 weeks isn't too bad Ken Hopefully it will come off quicker than it when on.

ihatethecold You might find it easier to have a look at the online site first to get to understand the plan. The aussie site has video's and stuff which I found helpful. In general fruit and veg are 0 points then all other food are pointed. Things high in protein are lowish points so a 100 smoked salmon is 2points. So I've been having a small wrap smoked salmon and loads of salad for lunch.

Thanks IC,

Im sort of working it out. How do i connect with people on the WW site to ask questions. i can only see trending and its just go photos of people before and after.

Yeah I will get it off in less time than it took to gain !
