OK, new thread for 2010!

My aim is to have lost 2 stone by my Birthday on April 6th! Booking a weeks family holiday for that week and want to feel and look better!

So, weigh in Friday? I always find weekends harder so that would be a good day for me.

Smalline mmm roast dinner soup sounds interesting.
I normally do carrot, onion and leek or leek and potato. Sometime spicy butternut squash. Carrot and coriander is nice as well.

Good luck for 2010!

Nice one Tortoise! Here's to a new thread and to a new look 'us'

I too would love to lose 2 stone by your birthday. We can do it......

Weigh in Friday it is then.

Smalline · 01/01/2010 18:57

2 stones by April wow that would be great.

Well I've done the deed, weighed myself today and was pleasantly surprised, hadn't put on as much weight as I thought, I'd be happy losing 17lbs by April, then I can take it from there.

Well good luck ladies, see you next Friday, that is of course if I don't see you before...

kurves · 01/01/2010 22:11

yes girls i in it with you guys good luck i got 2 and a half stones to lose

chickenrice · 02/01/2010 17:25

Hi again

Glad to see the thread still going.

It's been a long time since I lost all that weight. Have put it all back on after two kids so am ready to start all over. Need to lose at least 2 stone.

Are you guys still doing the spreadsheet thing?

Tortoiselookingforwardto2010 · 02/01/2010 18:13

Welcome Kurves and welcome back chickenRice.
I don't think there was enough of us for a spread sheet .

I feel like i can do it this time. I had got a lot better before Christmas. Helps that my Brother is living with us at mo so i can't pig out in the evenings!

OP posts:
chickenrice · 02/01/2010 21:10

Thanks Tortoise.

Yes together we can do it again.

I did try to not eat as much cake, mince pies, etc over Christmas but it was difficult so I am guilty of having eaten excessively.

Can't wait to get back into shape but I think it might be a lot harder this time round as I'm exhausted and tired all the time.

Good luck everyone. Weigh in Fridays?

agalchchangedhername · 03/01/2010 10:05

Mind if i join you ladies too? Haven't actually weighed myself for a while but would estimate i have at least 2st to lose.

Would like to lose that for my birthday in April!!!

kurves · 03/01/2010 12:21

How are we doing so far? Not brill here but playing in the snow today forced hot lunch (from the chippy!) then hot chocolate topped with whipped cream, mini marshmallows and crumbled flake! Delish! lol!

OP posts:
Smalline · 07/01/2010 14:10

Sounds like your kids are off school Tortoise mine aren't.

Have been doing okay, my body must be sighing with relief! I'm not pouring alcohol down it or forcing lots of unhealthy food down it for a change. Have been eating healthier, more fruit and water, no alcohol and a little treat every day.

Tortoiselookingforwardto2010 · 07/01/2010 17:46

Yes kids off school yesterday and today. No idea about tomorrow but the pavements are like sheets of ice!

Glad you are doing well so far. Ready for weigh in tomorrow?

OP posts:
Smalline · 07/01/2010 19:34

I think so, hope I'm not disappointed.

It would be great if the kids were off school tomorrow, it's DD birthday, the pavements are like sheets of ice round here too.

Good luck for tomorrow

Fimbles5 · 07/01/2010 19:57

Hi, do you mind if I join you too? I am in need of a great deal of support and noticed your thread has been going sometime. I am a big-time yoyo dieter coupled with binge eater so really not a good combination. I have a wedding to attend in April and need to lose at least a stone before then (trying to be optimistic, if I could lose two that would be amazing). I started today and had a really good day even though I was at home with the kids, but unfortunately hubby dished up desert and I couldn't resist and it has been downhill ever since, finishing all the Christmas chocolate etc.

So plan is to ditch the chocolate NOW and start afresh tomorrow. I would appreciate your support if I could jump on the wagon. Thanks

Tortoiselookingforwardto2010 · 07/01/2010 19:59

Welcome fimbles Good luck with losing at least a stone by April.

Going to disregard this week and just weigh in so i have a target for next week!

Furball · 07/01/2010 20:03

Well I'm doing OK too, but then it wasn't hard to be healthy after all I've endured my body to.

I've lost 1 1/2 lb since Monday sorry, I will weigh tomorrow too and have friday as my wi day, but I officially started Monday, so needed to know what the start weight was.

I've also measure my waist, hips, top of arm and top of thigh!

I've been plonked into WW as it's the only one I can come up with to do from home, that is sensible and not faddy.

Don't take much to fill a days points though, have stocked up on carrots to have free nibbles (lucky me!)

Think Thin girls!

Tortoiselookingforwardto2010 · 07/01/2010 20:08

Well done Furball. Measurements are a great idea. My thighs are mahoosive!

Furball · 08/01/2010 10:51

Smalline · 08/01/2010 12:42

Ah thanks Furball, you've done well yourself.

How is everyone else doing?

Tortoiselookingforwardto2010 · 08/01/2010 13:09

Well done you two.

Start weight 12st 11 1/4 (Hey Furball we are the same weight )

I was 12st 8lb at my last WW weigh in which was in October so i am pleased with only a small gain!

OP posts:
Furball · 08/01/2010 14:40

well the three of us are more or less equal.

lets see if we can all keep the same every week!

if you lose it, you'll have to hope that the other two did too!

We need a forfeit? like for every pound you are different above the lowest, you have to be extra strict for that many days to try and catch up??

Tortoiselookingforwardto2010 · 11/01/2010 11:08

Hello. My laptop screen has been cracked so i'm using the wii! Will try and stay in touch when i can. Need to find £70 to replace the screen.
Hope weekend went well. I have been eating too much .

OP posts:
Furball · 11/01/2010 11:27

oh no tortoise shame about your laptop.

I seem to be doing ok.....Hope it lasts....

I have turned from penny pinching to point pinching to try and spread the nosh. Vegetables are go go go!
