OK, new thread for 2010!

My aim is to have lost 2 stone by my Birthday on April 6th! Booking a weeks family holiday for that week and want to feel and look better!

So, weigh in Friday? I always find weekends harder so that would be a good day for me.

Smalline mmm roast dinner soup sounds interesting.
I normally do carrot, onion and leek or leek and potato. Sometime spicy butternut squash. Carrot and coriander is nice as well.

Good luck for 2010!

Thank you - will deffo try that tortoise

I can confirm the banana ice cream is alright! I did add a half teaspoon of nutella to 'jazz it up abit' and if you feel like an afternoon snack dessert like that, it works well.

Smalline · 24/04/2011 10:44

2lbs on this week so I am now back to 12st 4.5lbs, 2 more days then the healthy eating will begin againSmile.

12 weeks to my 50th birthday and I want to be 10st something.

Furball · 24/04/2011 11:36

Argh smalline you are so kind and thoughtful to try and join us on our start weights for the first to 12 stone Challenge [bugrin]

I wouldn't mind also being 10st something for your 50th as well. Are you OK with the next milestone in life?

I wouldn't even mind being 11 st something for your 50th!...........

TortoiseVEasterBunny · 24/04/2011 12:24

Happy Easter.
I'm aiming to start healthy eating in 2 days too. No way I would make 10st by your birthday small. Will start by aiming for 12st!

Smalline · 26/04/2011 14:33

Right how is everyone doing today?

I really made a pig of myself yesterday! went to an all you can eat buffet at Cosmo, food was delicious especially the desserts, chocolate fountain with marshmallows, individual lemon cheesecake and lots of delicious fruits, then when I came home 2 bags of crisps, 2 cadburys creme eggs, 6 nice biscuits & 3 large glasses of wineBlushBlushBlush.

Healthy eating starts today.

Tortoise · 26/04/2011 14:36

Very, very badly small tbh.
Kids back to school tomorrow so I will try and start improving then! Also need to get back into exercise. Needs to be something that I can keep up. shred tends to get boring after a while.

Smalline · 26/04/2011 17:45

Sorry Furball I've just realised that I have not answered your question about my 50th. Yes I'm okay, I'm embracing it in fact, I feel blessedSmile

Kids went back to school today Tortoise that's why I've started today, could end today too, but I'm keeping my fingers crossedGrin. I know what you mean about finding something you can keep up, I'm very lucky that with my job came a free membership to the local gym, I absolutely love working out in the gym so find it very easy to motivate myself. Have you tried a different format with the shred? for instance don't do level 1 for 10 days, followed by 10 days of each for 2 & 3 just try a different level every day, then build up to 4 circuits, followed by 5 circuits and before you know it you'll be doing 2 levels in one go, maybe get a couple more exercise dvds and mix them up so you don't get bored, I think I may have a couple that you can have if you like.

Tortoise · 26/04/2011 21:07

I am thinking about getting this but have to find the money 1st! Kids all have bikes, actually, DS1 needs a new one and DD2 wants a bigger one for her Birthday, so we could all go out on bike rides together which i would enjoy.
I have shred DVD, Davina power of 3, a couple other ones and a pilates one unopened! I like the shred as it is over quickly. I can't be bothered spending an hour exercising.

I have scoffed far to much tonight. Sad Glad kids are back to school tomorrow because at least i do plenty of walking then!

Furball · 26/04/2011 21:27

I'll join you in the 'doing crap' party if thats ok Smile

I'm not motivated AT ALL the last few days and have been picking......and then there's the bloody bananas chocolate.

I don't want to go for WI tomorrow as I know I will have put on, but thats a good thing to pay £5 to be told that right? Hmm

Glad your Ok with the milestone smalline Smile

Bike looks really fab tortoise

Tortoise · 26/04/2011 21:43

Furball You really don't want to join the doing crap party! You have been doing so well. Smile
Yes, bike does look good but i can never warrant spending money on me! I have to get presents for DD1's birthday which is in a couple of weeks. By then the price will probably have gone back up! Then will it be a waste of money? I do like cycling though. May have to go back to cycling to school with kids everyday. Stopped doing it because a friend moved closer and we now walk with her! (she gets anxious walking alone so feel tied to that now).

Smalline · 30/04/2011 13:24

How are you doing ladies? enjoying the lovely weather?

12st 3 today lost 1.5lbsGrin

Tortoise · 02/05/2011 08:17

I need a swift kick up the behind.Sad

I'm wondering what the Cambridge diet is like or biggest loser or slim fast.

Just failing so badly again at the moment. DS's laughing at flabby belly yesterday didn't help me feel any better either. I feel like a fat, wobbly blob.Sad

Smalline · 02/05/2011 11:08

Start afresh tomorrow Tortoise, get yourself in the right frame of mind and visualize a new you, you did so well last year and you can do it again. Think about how good you felt, would you like to feel that way again?

Saw my SIL yesterday, she has been on the Lighter Life diet for the past 4 months and has lost 4 stonesShock, she looks fabulousSmile.

Tortoise · 02/05/2011 20:51

Thanks small. I think i need something to help kick start me into this. The Biggest Loser meal replacements are quite expensive to buy enough to last a week or 2. Actual membership isnt too bad. I don't know what else to try. I can't even do up the shorts i fitted in last year.

Furball · 03/05/2011 11:19

tortoise - I hear thee and I'm also still a member of your 'doing crap' party!

But......today is a new day for me and, ok so it's only 11.19.........but I'm back on track.

'know what you are going to the cupboard for' is me motto.

Tortoise · 03/05/2011 11:44

I have been ok so far this morning! Bought a slim fast bar for breakfast and shake for lunch. Had an Apple just now and counting down the minutes to lunch because I am hungry!

I think I will try a week or two on slimfast stuff and see if that kick starts some weight loss. I know not a long term solution and I need to find ideas for low fat dinners or make soup more often!

Tortoise · 03/05/2011 16:39

Shake for lunch.
Banana and fat free yog just now.
Making carrot soup for dinner.

If I can just survive the evening I will have had a good day!

Furball · 03/05/2011 20:58

Bran Flakes and Semi for brekkie

small jacket with lettuce tomato and cucumber with a few bits of grated cheese and fat free honey and mustard dressing

a whole tube (yes that is what I said) of BBQ pringles Shock Shock Shock

pork chop, small salad (thought I better leave out the carbs on this one!)

3 chocolate digestives

Tortoise · 03/05/2011 21:05

Mmm BBQ pringles! I can easily eat a whole tube of them! GrinBlush

Packet of crisps, 2 timeouts and a yoghurt. Blush I was stressed out with DD1 and went the cupboard. Something i need to deal with.

Furball · 04/05/2011 09:55

Well done furball.
I'm feeling positive this morning.Smile Had a sf snack bar and a fat free yog this morning. Have a sf shake ready for lunch and will have left over soup for tea. Will add in some fruit during the day!

I am now ready to crank up the music and tidy the kitchen! Grin

Tortoise · 04/05/2011 10:04

At least I wasn't the only one who started yesterday well then spoilt it later on.Smile Looks like we are all back on track though. Not long until summer hols and I need, no, want, to fit into my shorts by then!

Smalline · 04/05/2011 10:17

Good going Furball, you might have only burnt 150 calories, but you will be burning fat for the next 24 hours.

Have a good day ladies, and remember, nothing tastes as good as slim looksGrin

Tortoise · 04/05/2011 21:39

How have you 2 got on today?

I have scrubbed and tidied the whole kitchen/dining area!

Food wise - I had my SF shake for lunch, fat free yog about 4.30pm, Lft over soup with 3 pieces bread and butter Blush. Another fat free yog just now. Should have had a piece of fruit really. Didn't think of that until started eating yog!
Oh and i had a chocolate chip cookie at school after DD2's class assembly!
