OK, new thread for 2010!

My aim is to have lost 2 stone by my Birthday on April 6th! Booking a weeks family holiday for that week and want to feel and look better!

So, weigh in Friday? I always find weekends harder so that would be a good day for me.

Smalline mmm roast dinner soup sounds interesting.
I normally do carrot, onion and leek or leek and potato. Sometime spicy butternut squash. Carrot and coriander is nice as well.

Good luck for 2010!

Thanks Tortoise good to know I'm not the only one who's been really wobbling with the dieting this weekend.

It's difficult to keep dieting long term isn't it? I always do well for the first month - then the bad habbits gradually creep back in again. So I've decided to try my best to keep the diet going this time.

I'm going to try hypnosis tomorrow...

I have a friend who lost over 3st and said it was down to the hypnosis keeping her on the straight and narrow. I'm so desperate to look in the mirror and see me again! So will try almost anything at this point.

Having a crap week. Kids home so not walking much. Lazing around and snacking.
Not going to get a result this week.

Mamii · 17/02/2010 18:54

I've just got home from work. No exercise class for me tonight...

Feet up - nice cuppa

Mamii · 18/02/2010 07:33

I hope you have a better day today Tortoise

Smalline · 18/02/2010 10:29

I think I'll have the same result as you Tortoise, made chocolate cement on Sunday (courtesy of Mumsnet), it was so delicious, but with 8oz of butter and 8oz of sugar it's so fattening, then there was pancake day on Tuesday, mind you I was very good, just had one pancake with golden syrup, since then the kids have insisted on having pancakes for breakfast every morning. Anyway lots of 'chilling out' done this week hardly any walking so I'm not expecting any loss this week, just hope I haven't gained.

Tortoise · 18/02/2010 11:06

Chocolate cement sounds interesting. Maybe i shouldn't look!! I made chocolate brownies. very yummy!

Smalline · 18/02/2010 12:02

Yes chocolate cement does sound interesting doesn't it, it should have read chocolate concrete not cement.

cheesychick · 18/02/2010 13:57

Lardy lady reporting for duty. I've lost 2 stone so far this year, so I'm down to 12 stone now.

Mamii · 18/02/2010 17:16

Hello and Welcome cheesychick

Wow! You've done so well to lose 2 stone in less than 2 months! I hope some of your success and determination rub off on me.

My scales have been going up and down this week, I don't know whats going on with my weight at the moment. Maybe I should just try and avoid the temptation to keep weighing myself every day.

Off to Body Pump in a min - trying to get a good result for tomorrows weigh in.

Smalline · 18/02/2010 18:09

Now I know I'm not going to have a good weigh in tomorrow, AF has just appeared again second time in just over 2 weeks!!! I think I am definitely going through the change hence no weight loss in the last 3 weeks.

Wow cheesychick 2 stone in less than 2 months, what have you been doing?

Tortoise · 18/02/2010 22:32

Another wow for cheesy. 2 stone is a great loss. I don't even seem to be able to manage 2 lbs!!!!

Another bad day! Had a snickers earlier plus ice cream tonight!

Will still weigh in tomorrow and see just how bad i have done. Why is this so bloody hard? I will still be lardy by April at this rate!

Mamii · 19/02/2010 07:20

Yay, another 2 down this week. (Which is a miracle I think) 14st 6lb

Just hoping I can change my usual "Giving Up" phase and keep this going this time.

Furball · 19/02/2010 07:30

oh blow!

sorry - I've forgotten again, although no great miracles to be had, it's half term and bloody hard......

Tortoise · 19/02/2010 10:15

Am 12st 12 (and a half!) so about 1lb gain. but expected!

Well done mamii .

Smalline · 19/02/2010 12:25

1lb off this week so I'm now 12st 7lbs - what a lovely surprise.

Tortoise · 19/02/2010 13:10

Well done smalline !!

cheesychick · 19/02/2010 16:42

Smalline, I've been killing myself going to the gym every night and left DH to sort out the kids and dinner. He's not complaining though.

Well done smalline

Mamii · 20/02/2010 09:18

Well done Smalline with AF and Half Term combination this week - that's good going!!

Chin up Tortoise when you're back to a normal routine and all the walking again next week - I'm sure you'll have a good one next time.

Mamii · 20/02/2010 11:13

Smalline 2 AF in 2 weeks isn't right...

You can get a blood test at the doctors to see if it's the Menopause that's causing it.

Smalline · 22/02/2010 14:29

You are right Mamii 2 AFs in 2 weeks isn't right, I keep meaning to go back to the doctors about it but never bother, I'm going to start keeping a diary of dates I start/stop my periods, that way I've got something to show them when I do eventually go.

Mamii · 22/02/2010 20:48

Good idea Smalline, you need to take care of yourself. Although I am the pot calling the kettle black. I have endometriosis, I was very lucky to get pregnant once let alone twice (I thank god for that every day)...

Bleeding heavily over a prelonged time can make you very unwell. Trouble is, it's so gradual that you won't notice yourself going downhill.

The diary is a really good idea to show the doctor exactly how frequent the bleeds are. Try to also make a note of how heavy and how many days they last as well as the frequency.

Smalline · 22/02/2010 21:38

Great idea Mamii thanks very much for your advice.

Tortoise · 23/02/2010 19:22

I am trying harder today. Have been better than the last week or so!
Not expecting a great result this week though!

Smalline · 23/02/2010 19:53

Last week it was chocolate concrete, this week it is lemon drizzle cake yummy, I've been exercising though so hopefully that will help.

Mamii · 23/02/2010 21:32

I had Pizza Hut Deep Pan Veg Supreme and garlic bread with cheese washed down with a glass of wine....

Hopefully got that out my system for a while again.
