Following on from ⭐️LOSE IT! February Fitness 2026⭐️

February was gone in a flash! Sunny skies will soon be back ☀️

To reach optimum health and vitality (as well as a trim body) we need to focus not only on our food intake; but movement, our mental health and sleep quality too!

Who doesn’t want to feel good and energetic as well looking great!

Get on board to reset & refresh and become a healthier version of yourself.

These threads are for those who’d like to lose weight and those who wish to maintain whilst eating a healthy varied diet.

As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We have a WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable) that’s based on several sensible principles including:-

  1. Eat a variety of real whole foods such as fresh vegetables, salad, berries, beans, nuts, eggs, lean meat, good fats etc.
  2. Reduce sugars, simple carbs, alcohol and UPFs.
  3. Plan your meals & log your intake. Also be mindful of portion control.
  4. Intermittent fasting - research suggests (Zoe study) that adhering to an eating window of 10 hours can have a positive effect on health, wellbeing and weight loss. I personally have a eating window of approximately 7hrs - 12:00 - 19:00.
  5. Stay hydrated! 💧
  6. Move as much as able. Particularly strength based exercise. Muscle keeps you strong as well as revs up your metabolism.
  7. Get the fibre in! Great for your gut biome as well as 💩
  8. SLEEP! Good sleep hygiene and a regularly sleep routine can be beneficial to weight loss. I’m always more hungry following poor sleep.
  9. Be mindful about your own mental wellbeing and try not to eat your feelings. We’ve all been there!
  10. Be kind to yourself. One or two slip ups won’t undo all your previous efforts. Just check-in with yourself, reinforce your good intentions and carry on.

I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and eat twice a day. Im a long time healthy eater and overall I’ve lost over 3 stone.

After having been on the wrong side of 12st Im now hovering around 9st 3lbs.

Are you in?😊 What food plan will you be following? What do you want to change and why?

Any recipes/workouts that have worked for you, you’d like to share?

@TheWayTheLightFalls I bet I look exactly as elegant as I feel Grin

TealSloth · 31/03/2026 07:52

Last week I have stuck by my calorie count. This week I need to do the same. Have a lovely day ladies.

10kstepsaday · 31/03/2026 08:25

@LemonDrizzle23 we have the cosmic kids yoga on regularly in our house 😁 my kids do love it!!

Checking in. Yesterday I accidentally did OMAD. First day of half term and it was manic and I forgot breakfast in the rush, didn't trust the soft play to eat lunch in and got home at 3.45m so just waited for dinner!

Hello everyone
Have been watching this thread for a few days.

I am hoping to lose between 6-14 lbs. BMI roughly 24. I have a generally good health but I just am an awful snacker and sugar addict.
Not enough will power to ban loads of items.
Tried to ban biscuits which is about 95% effective but last night had two bourbons :D
Tried to say no chocolate unless Fri-Sun but with Easter around the corner that's looking a bit loose ATM
Hopefully once all Easter choc has gone I'll be looking a bit better.

I try to eat few UPFs generally cook homemade stuff, homemade bread, usually do a 'dirty 16-8' (drink milky coffees and teas before 12) and walk, jog, or other exercise nearly every day.

Just finding very hard to shift stubborn weight.
Hoping me joining this thread will give me the kick to be stricter and feel a bit better in myself!

Thanks for all your inspiration guys

Hello all! I went to the wedding on the weekend - I wasn’t in the 11s as I’d hoped, as I’ve been in this stall for a couple of months now (very frustrating as I’ve said), but did have a few people tell me I looked great which was so nice. I’d had my hair done, put some effort into my make up so it really worked, and had on a fab dress - and despite not being quite where I hoped weight wise I felt great.

My aim for today is high protein and low carb as I’ve had weeks now of my WOW being a bit of a downer and even if it’s only an illusion, that way of eating usually gives me a little whoosh overnight which I think I need, psychologically speaking!

Today’s menu:

B - Greek yoghurt, berries, seeds, honey
L - chicken breast, tbc as to what I have it with
D - possibly also chicken breast as DH is away and I don’t want them to go off!

Thank you for the new thread @TheRealHousewife I’m hoping for a loss tomorrow 🤞

@DontBuyANewMumCashmere was the cashmere for you? Or your new born baby? I am remembering my sister buying newborn DS a beautiful but completely impractical white cashmere onesie. He pooped through it on the first wear….

FridayNighFeeling · 31/03/2026 20:34

Good luck for WoW and the new month all, will come check in there once home from being away.

For me LemonDrizzle, when I had a 3-week old BFed baby I asked for some cardies to do up/undo quicky/cover up in public.
My husband dutifully bought me three beautiful cashmere cardigans and being brain adled I immediately shrank two of them and the last one is still in use but a bit tight...

I just thought, why would I have time to hand wash delicate items like this?!
Poor DH had no idea they would require handwashing tbf

Fellsbells · 31/03/2026 22:31

How is it the end if the month already? March has flown by.
I’m ending less than the start so that’s good. I’ve had a good calorie deficit for a week and it’s hit me today. I’ve been absolutely exhausted and had no energy so I’ve had the day off and eaten well. Did manage a 5km run so hopefully tomorrow won’t be too bad.

ChunkyMonkey36 · 31/03/2026 22:35

I’m not allowed to eat between 9:30 and 3:30 tomorrow, and I’ve been logging on the app I’m using 12hr fasts 8pm - 8am.

Sort of considering stopping it at 8, eating breakfast and then restarting it again at 9ish 😂

TheWayTheLightFalls · 01/04/2026 05:44

Morning! WoW is 67.0kg here, so 3kg under goal.

Lovely walk yesterday with a friend and her doggo, and more weight type stuff at home. And I booked an induction session at a local women’s gym for a few weeks’ time.

LemonDrizzle23 · 01/04/2026 07:13

@DontBuyANewMumCashmere oh no 🤦🏼‍♀️ Lovely gesture by your DH, but yes the postpartum brain cannot be trusted…

LegoTherapy · 01/04/2026 08:08

Morning all. Wow of 53.7kg this morning. I’ve got the lurgy so not feeling great and have lots to do today😩
Well done to all the wowers! Keep going.

TheRealHousewife · 02/04/2026 09:15

Good Morning All

@LegoTherapy We’ve lurgy in our household too … other half now but neither of us getting sleep as he’s so focal about it, even during the night 😅 I wish you a speedy recovery ❤️

@Fellsbells I agree … It’s scary how fast life passes us by! Live in the moment is my new motto x

See you all on the April thread x

Happy Easter 🐣 to you all. I hope you had a lovely day.
Thanks for the get well wishes. I’m still feeling not great but it’s mainly tiredness and being woke up by the cough at 5/6am for an hour. The top of my chest feels so tight when I wake up but then it eases off and I can get back to sleep. Luckily it’s the holidays and I can sleep in.

I made a chocolate fudge cake decorated with mini eggs yesterday for today and did a roast dinner today. Dd loves a toast dinner and normally has seconds but she didn’t today. My mum joined us for dinner and it was lovely. I’ve had a slice of the cake but no chocolate otherwise. I didn’t fancy it which is weird after all Lent without. That might change tomorrow when I’m hoping to relax and not spend all day in the kitchen!
Got a 2.5 mile walk in today and feel good for that especially as the sun was out and nice and windy so a rather bracing walk.

TheWayTheLightFalls · 06/04/2026 07:41

Signing in for omad! I’m working today and it’s full-on and I have my period so this could go either way really. Hope the busy-ness keeps me away from the kitchen.
