Following on from ⭐️LOSE IT! February Fitness 2026⭐️

February was gone in a flash! Sunny skies will soon be back ☀️

To reach optimum health and vitality (as well as a trim body) we need to focus not only on our food intake; but movement, our mental health and sleep quality too!

Who doesn’t want to feel good and energetic as well looking great!

Get on board to reset & refresh and become a healthier version of yourself.

These threads are for those who’d like to lose weight and those who wish to maintain whilst eating a healthy varied diet.

As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We have a WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable) that’s based on several sensible principles including:-

  1. Eat a variety of real whole foods such as fresh vegetables, salad, berries, beans, nuts, eggs, lean meat, good fats etc.
  2. Reduce sugars, simple carbs, alcohol and UPFs.
  3. Plan your meals & log your intake. Also be mindful of portion control.
  4. Intermittent fasting - research suggests (Zoe study) that adhering to an eating window of 10 hours can have a positive effect on health, wellbeing and weight loss. I personally have a eating window of approximately 7hrs - 12:00 - 19:00.
  5. Stay hydrated! 💧
  6. Move as much as able. Particularly strength based exercise. Muscle keeps you strong as well as revs up your metabolism.
  7. Get the fibre in! Great for your gut biome as well as 💩
  8. SLEEP! Good sleep hygiene and a regularly sleep routine can be beneficial to weight loss. I’m always more hungry following poor sleep.
  9. Be mindful about your own mental wellbeing and try not to eat your feelings. We’ve all been there!
  10. Be kind to yourself. One or two slip ups won’t undo all your previous efforts. Just check-in with yourself, reinforce your good intentions and carry on.

I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and eat twice a day. Im a long time healthy eater and overall I’ve lost over 3 stone.

After having been on the wrong side of 12st Im now hovering around 9st 3lbs.

Are you in?😊 What food plan will you be following? What do you want to change and why?

Any recipes/workouts that have worked for you, you’d like to share?

I’m down to my lowest weight today after springing up yesterday, so that’s something.
went to my first piloxing class on Monday, which was interesting! Definitely felt toned from it.

Great work there .
Well done xx

stealthninjamum · 11/03/2026 10:09

I’m sorry to hear those who didn’t lose weight, but hopefully it’s just a blip and next week you’ll show a loss. I have been hovering between 182 and 184 for about a month and finally went down so sometimes it just takes a long time.

I’m now finally in the 12s.

SW 197 lbs
LW 184
Today 181.8lbs

moondip · 11/03/2026 14:00

Well done, WoWers. I’m weighing tomorrow this week as that’s 7 days on from when I was able to weigh last week. But I’d like to get back to WoW next week. X

FridayNighFeeling · 11/03/2026 14:36

Hi all, still more or less the same. Not deluded enough to think that I'm recompositioning my body while staying the same weight or anything (definite fitness influencer speak that!) but just plodding along doing my best as consistently as possible.

Got my class tonight eek trying not to be nervous!

Well done to all the losers Wink well done for going back @biscuitcat and yes childcare is very expensive everything is Filled the car up last night and nearly fainted! and big hugs @socks1107

FreshLemonZest · 11/03/2026 15:28

I've stayed the same this week, which is annoying as I was lower on Sunday. Thankfully, as I weigh everyday, I saw that number, so not disappointed today. I am walking 5km every day and no going over calories so im hoping for a whoosh this week.

Determinedloser · 11/03/2026 16:36

0.8lb gain today this week.

I need to get my steps back up because it’s contributing in a small way to my deficit.

Well done to everyone weighing whether it’s a loss or a gain.

socks1107 · 11/03/2026 22:34

Well done to everyone who WOW today!

moondip · 12/03/2026 09:11

Morning lovelies, I weighed this morning but will be back to WoW next week. I’m down 0.5kg on last week, so feeling like my travels haven’t messed me up too much (and also inspired to keep doing lots of walking with DC in the carrier as that’s burning some good calories I guess!).

SW: 102.1kg
CW: 93.05kg
1st GW: 90.kg

Hoping if I stay determined and active I can see my first goal weight in early April if not before 🙏

LemonDrizzle23 · 12/03/2026 18:34

Well I have stumbled straight into another stinking cold, which has led me into a load of buttered toast, crisps and Coke. Sigh. At some point it does start to feel like the universe is a bit out to sabotage your efforts 😂 Hopefully a better day tomorrow.

FridayNighFeeling · 12/03/2026 20:48

Hope you feel better soon @LemonDrizzle23

Good going @moondip

I did quite well at the exercise class (I think) I did hurt after and still do today but it's not as bad as I thought. All that walking with and without the double buggy and bits of home exercise has made a difference.

I need to get back to tracking my food properly because as I'm maintaining consistently it means I'm eating maintenance calories and that's all well and good but not getting the last stone off is it?

Have a good Friday the 13th all Wink

biscuitcat · 13/03/2026 09:32

Ugh well I think I’ve figured out why I wanted to eat everything in the house a few days ago, period arrived today! Not even three weeks after my last one, it’s clearly taking a while to settle down postpartum. And I don’t enjoy it being back, losing weight was much easier before!

Hopefully it means I’ll drop some weight this week, I’m having a small wonder about whether I stop breastfeeding soon and do WLIs if the slow progress carries on as my BMI is about 27 so I think I should still be able to get them. I was planning on feeding for another couple of months, but I don’t really want to be in a position where I’m no longer eligible for the jabs if I need them due to losing more weight, and also can’t eat the extra breastfeeding calories.

Pasta4Dinner · 14/03/2026 11:45

80.4kg this morning so that’s another 0.2kg off. Been trying really hard this week with the exercise.
Ive given up calorie counting. I just eat the same kind of things anyway and I realise I actually lose weight when I eat slightly more. So I’m just being sensible and doing lots of cardio.

Emmadaily · 14/03/2026 14:37

Good afternoon everyone
Hopefully everyone is staying well .🤗
I am back from my weigh in at Slimming World and I'm.happy with my maintenance weight. Just didn't want a gain however small.
I remain at 8 stone 6 and half well in my target weight and enjoying some little treats without it spoiling my efforts.
If I can protect my weight loss I will remain happy
July last year 10 stones 12 pounds
Today 8 stone 6 and a half

Not too far away from the salad months to so will enjoy the change of food.
Take care everyone
Xx

socks1107 · 15/03/2026 09:35

Good morning all! Well a happy Mother’s Day to me I somehow got my holiday goal weight today, a week early! Incredible after being 3lbs off on Tuesday . I have reduced carbs the last few days but it may also be hormones ( I’ve had a sub total hysterectomy so no periods to tell) but I may not weigh again until after holiday and just enjoy this new low 🤣

FridayNighFeeling · 16/03/2026 08:39

Now you can have a lovely break @socks1107 hurrah!

Hope you all had a lovely Mothering Sunday and (((Hugs))) to those who find the day difficult.

Mondays are normally my heaviest day on the scales, but I've actually got the lowest I've made a note of on the scales since starting the journey last June:
25 3/4lbs off (just 0.1kg lower than previous lowest but I will take it Grin )

Have a good week all of you!

TheWayTheLightFalls · 16/03/2026 12:53

Hello all. It's OMAD here today and yet more Persian soup, with my Persian friend who turned up with a recipe for me! Very exciting. Anyway - just black coffee and likely Diet Coke now. I haven't been hugely disciplined the past few days, blaming it on my period.

TheWayTheLightFalls · 16/03/2026 19:49

Done! Didn't fall into a cake-shapd hole, woohoo.

FridayNighFeeling · 16/03/2026 21:04

Lucky you to have such a wonderful friend to share recipes with @TheWayTheLightFalls and well done for avoiding cake!

biscuitcat · 17/03/2026 06:42

Well done @TheWayTheLightFalls - I think all of my pre-period self control must have been sent your way!! It’s amazing the difference it makes, last week I gained weight just by looking at food - and sadly I did more than just look at food(!), this week I’ve eaten similarly and I’m down 2.5lbs so far (most of which I assume is period bloating).

Hope everyone has a lovely day - week two of being back at work for me, which is actually really nice. I need to get organised for bringing lunch in with me else I’ll end up spending all of my money on that!

FridayNighFeeling · 17/03/2026 20:21

Glad to hear it's going well @biscuitcat

Good luck to all jumping on the scales tomorrow. I was even lower today, but period still uhming and ahing - cycle day 53 Hmm

biscuitcat · 18/03/2026 08:46

Happy Wednesday all! I’m apparently up 1lb overnight so I’m 1.5lbs down this week - a bit annoying, but there we go.

SW - 15st10.5
CW - 12st3.5

I’ve been letting my meal planning slide a bit the past couple of weeks which I think is really having an impact, so need to motivate myself into a bit of a reset. Good luck to all weighing in today 💜

mermadeincornwall · 18/03/2026 09:47

1lb off
Mothers day was a day off. Back to it with determination 💪

LemonDrizzle23 · 18/03/2026 10:10

Morning WOWers. I’m still dragging with a cold, so I’m not even getting on the scales today. 2026 has been a health disaster so far 🤦🏼‍♀️ Well done to everyone weighing in.

My win today was doing some yoga first thing and getting diet back on track at the start of the week. Will weigh next Wednesday.

TheWayTheLightFalls · 18/03/2026 13:01

Hello all. Forgot to weigh, forgot to WoW… whoops! Yesterday was 67.1kg, so stable enough. Hope others are doing well. Lunch in the sunshine here, a healthy ready meal.

stealthninjamum · 18/03/2026 15:19

Gah! What a week! After my delight of being in the 12s last week I put 2lbs on!

life has been so busy again I’m struggling to track my food and I keep eating the food that dc won’t eat.

The good news is I have just put on one of last summer’s dresses and it looks great on me. I’ve got down 1 or 2 sizes in the last year.
