Following on from ⭐️LOSE IT! February Fitness 2026⭐️

February was gone in a flash! Sunny skies will soon be back ☀️

To reach optimum health and vitality (as well as a trim body) we need to focus not only on our food intake; but movement, our mental health and sleep quality too!

Who doesn’t want to feel good and energetic as well looking great!

Get on board to reset & refresh and become a healthier version of yourself.

These threads are for those who’d like to lose weight and those who wish to maintain whilst eating a healthy varied diet.

As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We have a WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable) that’s based on several sensible principles including:-

  1. Eat a variety of real whole foods such as fresh vegetables, salad, berries, beans, nuts, eggs, lean meat, good fats etc.
  2. Reduce sugars, simple carbs, alcohol and UPFs.
  3. Plan your meals & log your intake. Also be mindful of portion control.
  4. Intermittent fasting - research suggests (Zoe study) that adhering to an eating window of 10 hours can have a positive effect on health, wellbeing and weight loss. I personally have a eating window of approximately 7hrs - 12:00 - 19:00.
  5. Stay hydrated! 💧
  6. Move as much as able. Particularly strength based exercise. Muscle keeps you strong as well as revs up your metabolism.
  7. Get the fibre in! Great for your gut biome as well as 💩
  8. SLEEP! Good sleep hygiene and a regularly sleep routine can be beneficial to weight loss. I’m always more hungry following poor sleep.
  9. Be mindful about your own mental wellbeing and try not to eat your feelings. We’ve all been there!
  10. Be kind to yourself. One or two slip ups won’t undo all your previous efforts. Just check-in with yourself, reinforce your good intentions and carry on.

I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and eat twice a day. Im a long time healthy eater and overall I’ve lost over 3 stone.

After having been on the wrong side of 12st Im now hovering around 9st 3lbs.

Are you in?😊 What food plan will you be following? What do you want to change and why?

Any recipes/workouts that have worked for you, you’d like to share?

@TheRealHousewife do you have a large skip for us instead of a basket? 😂

What are people up to for the weekend? My weight is actually trending down for the first time in a month, so that’s given me a bit of a boost. Quiet day here today - clubs and haircuts - and seeing family in town tomorrow, see if my poor ankle / leg can keep up.

The sun seems to have vanished over the last few days which is annoying, but I am loving the lighter evenings.

Pasta4Dinner · 07/03/2026 11:48

Another 0.1kg off. I know it’s tiny but it’s the real first weight I’ve lost in months. 80.6kg. 0.7kg until I see that 7 at the start!

TheWayTheLightFalls · 07/03/2026 11:51

Keep going @Pasta4Dinner ! That shift from an 8 to a 7 is a huuuuge boost.

moondip · 07/03/2026 14:54

Well done @Pasta4Dinner- it’s exciting when you’re at the threshold of a lower range!

@LemonDrizzle23 We’ve also had the weather go downhill here so just cosying down watching the rugby right now! But I’m with you on enjoying the lighter evenings. It’s giving me that exciting feeling of summer not being too far off, which I’m really hoping I’ll be down a good few kilos more for by time it gets here! 🙏 Hope you go ok with your injury when you see family tomorrow.

stealthninjamum · 09/03/2026 09:32

Thanks @TheRealHousewife @biscuitcat for your kind words. I have now caught up with the thread. That summary of Dr Fung’s book was really helpful and I wonder if your basket would contain my ex husband who has dc for a grand total of 0 nights a year.

Ive had a good few days and realised I probably have enough vegetables / fibre but don’t really focus on protein and I eat too much bread. So I have made a loaf of bread with seeds and cottage cheese to be frozen and eaten when I feel like having bread. I made a huge soup with about 15 types of plant in it. And I hard boiled two eggs to add to salads for protein. I do need to be organised so that on bad days I don’t need to spend ages prepping food.

the excellent news is that I am finally in the 12s after dancing around the edge for about 3 weeks. I am now 181.6 lbs. I’d like to be in the 11s by the summer because I keep seeing lovely summer clothes and I hate the tent like dresses I was wearing last year. So that’s about 4 months to lose a stone.

TheRealHousewife · 09/03/2026 10:20

Good Morning @stealthninjamum You most certainly can 🧺! Congratulations on your loss 🥳x

That's brilliant @stealthninjamum ! Not so brilliant on the part of the useless ex...

Signing in for OMAD here.

Determinedloser · 09/03/2026 11:06

Morning all! Not a great few days here, ok calorie wise I think but protein and steps gone to pot.

Will try really hard this week.

Fellsbells · 09/03/2026 15:16

Hope everyone is having a good Monday and your food goals are going well.

Ups and downs this weekend. Lots of exercise but also lots of food. Feeling optimistic though. I’ve been eating well (mostly!) and my body feels better for it.
Aims for the week are plenty of veg and protein, healthy carbs and reduce the sugar that has crept up recently. Not bothered about being in a deficit, maintaining is fine. Just need to remember that when I get hungry and not mindlessly eat.

TheWayTheLightFalls · 09/03/2026 19:10

Minor change of plans; instead of OMAD I ate the whole kitchen. Whoops! In my defence it was broadly going ok until a colleague offered me a Quality Street.

FridayNighFeeling · 09/03/2026 20:27

Hope it's going OK @biscuitcat are you back to work FT? Hats off to you!

@LemonDrizzle23 we had a very rare child free weekend so DH and I went for lunch and then when we collected the over tired/starved urchin, we ended up getting KFC, so 2 junky meals in 2 days Blush

It happens @TheWayTheLightFalls and chocolate is definitely a gateway drug!

LemonDrizzle23 · 10/03/2026 14:04

@moondipthank you. I was a bit sore by the time we got home, but no worse the next day!

@FridayNighFeeling I love a bit of sneaky child free time. I hope you got a bit of a relax in.

We had lots of meals out and about over the last three days, but things were going well before then, so let’s see what the scales say in a couple of days.

socks1107 · 10/03/2026 18:23

Hi all, well I’m sticking to the calorie set for me and I’m gaining day after day for the last five days. Graph has now ticked up and everything has gone red.
Ive re checked and rechecked my calorie goal and looking everywhere it’s spot on, all my macros have been met. At the rate I’m gaining I’ll be in the stone bracket up for holiday and half a stone where I should be.
I cried this morning, really cried. 15 months in and every day is still a slog. If I’d taken WLI I’d likely be at goal months ago and really wish that was the route I’d taken now. I won’t be giving up but I’m on my last reserves with it now. Holiday will be at maintenance and may do a few weeks at that and no weighing when I get home to have a break

Fellsbells · 10/03/2026 19:58

That’s so frustrating @socks1107 is it your period? Salt? Carbs?

socks1107 · 10/03/2026 23:15

@Fellsbells possibly salt but not all five days. I’ve had a hysterectomy so no periods.
good luck tmrw everyone for WOW

TheWayTheLightFalls · 11/03/2026 05:59

Morning! WoW is 67.8kg, up a bit since last week. I suspect my period is due, hence the mad eating. Still under goal, all ok.

Good luck Wowers!

Emmadaily · 11/03/2026 06:47

Morning everyone ☺
Good luck today
I have caught up again on the thread
It's great to see you all wether a good week or a bad week .
I meant to post my last Saturdays weigh in result at Slimming world
Half a pound up which is good as still on low end of target but like I have said here before I don't really want to be putting on or getting into that trend so I will see what this Saturday brings .
Take care everyone and have a great rest of the week.
Xx

Fellsbells · 11/03/2026 06:56

Good luck wowers. I’m up a bit so moving swiftly on.

biscuitcat · 11/03/2026 06:58

Three days a week @FridayNighFeeling (childcare is so expensive that we’d lose money on me working more than that!) - first day back is out of the way now and while it was only boring compliance training bits and sorting emails it was nice to be back.

This week has been an absolute disaster weight wise and I’m 2lbs up, which is really frustrating. I had a while of tracking properly and really not losing as I should and I think it got to me and the wheels fell off, and I’ve eaten badly and too much.

My one positive is that I’m still here and checking in, and I hope others have had a better week than I have!!

mermadeincornwall · 11/03/2026 07:12

11 st 8 lbs.
3lbs off.
Stuck to the plan all week.

Thanks for your support @Emmadaily, @FridayNighFeeling and
@TheWayTheLightFalls.

Have a good WOW and week everyone

LemonDrizzle23 · 11/03/2026 08:05

Morning. Well done to everyone WOWing!
I think it’s about 0.5lb off for me this week? I’m not recording properly at the moment so need to get back to that. But we’ve had a birthday and a couple of meals out, so not too bad.

Still loving my yoga. I finished 30 days of yoga with Adrienne (albeit it took me about 60 days to do so), but I’m definitely going to carry on. I’m not sure I’m feeling brave enough to do a gym class yet, so will stick to YouTube. But my flexibility has definitely improved and I’ve noticed an old shoulder injury settling down a bit, which I think has been due to building a bit of shoulder muscle. I’m a convert!

petitpasta · 11/03/2026 08:12

2lbs down in the last week so 8lbs down this year so far. I weigh daily because it's been helpful in seeing that there's a natural fluctuation day to day which, in the past, I haven't seen and have just weighed on an up day and then hit the f**k it button and inhaled the whole kitchen when I've gained weight (that I probably would have lost again in a day or two).
Bootcamp last night and I went up on weights on a few rounds which felt good. A long time gym member complimented my form as well which gave me a boost. And then a dress I loved last year but in a size down arrived from vinted and it only bloody well fits now! I bought it for later in the summer thinking that last year's dress would do for the first bit of summer.

Pasta4Dinner · 11/03/2026 09:05

I’m down to my lowest weight today after springing up yesterday, so that’s something.
went to my first piloxing class on Monday, which was interesting! Definitely felt toned from it.

Emmadaily · 11/03/2026 10:05
