Following on from ⭐️LOSE IT! February Fitness 2026⭐️

February was gone in a flash! Sunny skies will soon be back ☀️

To reach optimum health and vitality (as well as a trim body) we need to focus not only on our food intake; but movement, our mental health and sleep quality too!

Who doesn’t want to feel good and energetic as well looking great!

Get on board to reset & refresh and become a healthier version of yourself.

These threads are for those who’d like to lose weight and those who wish to maintain whilst eating a healthy varied diet.

As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We have a WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable) that’s based on several sensible principles including:-

  1. Eat a variety of real whole foods such as fresh vegetables, salad, berries, beans, nuts, eggs, lean meat, good fats etc.
  2. Reduce sugars, simple carbs, alcohol and UPFs.
  3. Plan your meals & log your intake. Also be mindful of portion control.
  4. Intermittent fasting - research suggests (Zoe study) that adhering to an eating window of 10 hours can have a positive effect on health, wellbeing and weight loss. I personally have a eating window of approximately 7hrs - 12:00 - 19:00.
  5. Stay hydrated! 💧
  6. Move as much as able. Particularly strength based exercise. Muscle keeps you strong as well as revs up your metabolism.
  7. Get the fibre in! Great for your gut biome as well as 💩
  8. SLEEP! Good sleep hygiene and a regularly sleep routine can be beneficial to weight loss. I’m always more hungry following poor sleep.
  9. Be mindful about your own mental wellbeing and try not to eat your feelings. We’ve all been there!
  10. Be kind to yourself. One or two slip ups won’t undo all your previous efforts. Just check-in with yourself, reinforce your good intentions and carry on.

I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and eat twice a day. Im a long time healthy eater and overall I’ve lost over 3 stone.

After having been on the wrong side of 12st Im now hovering around 9st 3lbs.

Are you in?😊 What food plan will you be following? What do you want to change and why?

Any recipes/workouts that have worked for you, you’d like to share?

Hello! I would love to join the thread if possible. I’ve read ALL the weight loss chats on here over the years and have finally decided to post on one. You all seem so lovely and I’m hoping it gives me the encouragement to actually get back on top of things. So, I’m currently 70kg and would love to get down to 60kg. I know what I need to do, it’s just finding the willpower to do it!

LegoTherapy · 22/03/2026 08:32

Forgot to add my weight for accountability: 54.2kg this morning. I still go up and down by a few pounds depending on activity levels and what I’ve been eating but “about 8 and a half stone” covers it as an average. I can’t grumble really. When I joined this threads my goal was 9st 3lb which is what I was when I got pregnant with Ds. He’s broadened my ribcage and softened my belly even more so my body is different and will probably never fit back in a dress I bought the spring before. I can get it done up but not if wearing a bra.

10kstepsaday · 22/03/2026 22:41

8 and a half stone is awesome @LegoTherapy
I haven't seen that on my scales for over a decade 🤣

Today I had my tahini & chia breakfast bowl, lunch was homemade tomato and red pepper soup with a slice of sourdough spread with goats cheese and parsley, dinner was simple chicken and salad.
I did a 45 min legs and glute YT workout and my legs were like jelly for the rest of the day. 10k steps and lotsss of water. Feel like I have locked in!! Just need to keep it locked in 😅

TheWayTheLightFalls · 23/03/2026 07:02

Hello all. Signing in for OMAD. I’ve got medical nonsense at both ends of the day and work in the middle, and then a night out… here’s hoping I’m distracted and not in complete chaos by midday.

LegoTherapy · 23/03/2026 08:20

54.1kg today. Ds and I are off to Legoland tomorrow so sensible food choices will not play a part for the next two days. We are planning on leerdammer baguette for lunch as that’s our latest thing so not all bad.

Fellsbells · 23/03/2026 08:31

Hope everyone is doing well.

I’m consistently up a couple of lbs so
I want to be in a good deficit for the next few weeks to get them off before it becomes the new normal.

Plan is to refocus on eating protein, fruit, veg and smaller portions of carbs. Recent birthdays have meant more sugar so that’s got to go as well.

I can’t decide if I cut breakfast out or eat it. A deficit is so much easier with no breakfast, but can lead to over eating later in the day.

FridayNighFeeling · 23/03/2026 13:23

Enjoy Legoland @LegoTherapy and give me a wave (in the local area) Spent a lot of DC's childhood there!

Protein heavy breakfast @Fellsbells is the way to go realistically and science backed too, but maybe try one week with and one without and see what happens overall?

Weight bibbed back up a bit after the weekend, but will see what happens the rest of the week. Off to dumbells and kettlebells tonight eek

Good luck @TheWayTheLightFalls one dose of the NHS in a day is enough nevermind two!

10kstepsaday · 23/03/2026 19:31

Today was the same recipes as yesterday for breakfast and lunch and for dinner I made a Carrot & Taleggio Tarte Tatin, except I couldn't buy Taleggio and so made it with Brie. Had it with a spinach side salad 😋
Also ate dinner very early (for me) at 4.30pm and that's me done now kitchen is closed! Around 1400 calories in total.

No workout today as my legs are so badly aching from my leg workout yesterday. Walking down the stairs and sitting down is hard work 😅 I have gone for a couple of walks though and racked up 16k steps.

FridayNighFeeling · 24/03/2026 08:24

That's still a lot of steps @10kstepsaday !

I survived the exercise class. Weight holding steady-ish, but I did work hard last night and drank some creatine after so that may be impacting. Would love a woosh to keep me motivated.

5 mile walk today with creatine once home. Just having some Fage, home made granola and raspberries. Lunch is chicken and coleslaw flatbread and tea is roast chicken, cous cous and green salad - a bit samey, but it works for the most part. Not sure how WI will look tomorrow as pudding is going to be sticky toffee - offset in part by the walk hopefully.

Good luck all the WOW'ers

LemonDrizzle23 · 24/03/2026 09:17

Enjoy Legoland @LegoTherapy We’ve not been for ages, but loved going off-peak before DS started school!

Lovely exercise day yesterday - bike and yoga. Was going to try and get out for a walk today but the weather has turned. Might have to just wrap up and brave the wind!

Some tasty sounding meals there @10kstepsaday and @FridayNighFeeling

I think I will be ending March at the same weight as I started, having gone up and down again during the two weeks i was ill, which’s a bit annoying 🙄
Better health luck in April hopefully. At least walking seems to be getting a bit easier again.

10kstepsaday · 24/03/2026 20:06

@FridayNighFeeling I was very pleased with the steps 🤩 I usually only just manage 10k! Well done on the gym class!

Today was same breakfast and lunch, with pork stir fry for dinner. I have done a 30 min full body strength workout on my lunch break (WFH) and went for a walk before dinner.
Interesting to see how WOW goes tomorrow.

Good luck everyone!

TheWayTheLightFalls · 25/03/2026 05:52

Morning! WoW is 67.5 here, so holding steady around 2.5kg under goal. Though when I first stepped on the scales they said “Lo” - sadly that was just about the battery Grin

Good luck wowers!

Fellsbells · 25/03/2026 06:30

Morning wowers I’m a little up (hopefully some of it is water due to pizza).

mermadeincornwall · 25/03/2026 06:46

Stayed the same.
Scales say half a pound off but that's basically the same.

Im going to write down everything again, every day,and not having any plans the week means I can stick to it.

Happy WOW everyone

LemonDrizzle23 · 25/03/2026 07:21

Morning WOWers. Haven’t weighed for a couple of weeks through illness, so no accurate weekly loss. However I am ending March at 13.12. Have gone up and down in the middle! But an overall loss.

SW: 15 st 8
CW: 13 st 12

Given the last few months, it feels wildly ambitious to say I’d like to get to 2 stone off by the end of April! But that’s the goal.

Good luck to everyone weighing in!

10kstepsaday · 25/03/2026 07:23

Morning WOWers!

SW: 10 st 6 lb
CW: 10 st 4lb
GW: 9 st 7 lb

10st 4 this morning which is a 1lb loss since getting back on it this last week.
Happy with that and will keep going! Well done everyone!

FreshLemonZest · 25/03/2026 08:23

Morning all. Didn't weigh in last week as had a weekend in Athens, then 4 days with our daughters who are away at uni. So, taking the weigh in from 2 weeks ago, I'm down 1.8kg/just under 4lbs and I'm happy with that! I would love to get under 80kg for next week, even by 0.1kg, but I'm flying back to the U.K for a 4 day trip for a funeral, the land of treats/food that I can't get here will be a very big temptation, but I'm hoping to stay strong. Good luck everyone.

TealSloth · 25/03/2026 08:36

Hello ladies. After 1 year am back to my calorie counting not been able to count my calories due to eating crap and eating what ever I could find in kitchen. Due to having alot taking place last year. I kept eye on my food in take. but not been counted. Hopefully staring this week am back on my calorie counting plus my cardio. Its all sitting in its place.
Good luck to everyone for there targets and plans.

FridayNighFeeling · 25/03/2026 09:12

Sort of STS at -26lbs but Easter and a trip away to sabotage things.

Well done everyone. Where is the 😂emoji when you need it @TheWayTheLightFalls

FridayNighFeeling · 25/03/2026 09:13

Good luck @FreshLemonZest

stealthninjamum · 25/03/2026 09:47

I’m still here.

SW: 197 lbs
LW: 183.6
today 182.3

I’m still heavier than a fortnight ago but I’m really trying to keep on track. I mentioned a couple of weeks ago I’d try to up my protein and so I’ve been hard boiling eggs and having a constant supply of one or two in the fridge. Yesterday I bought a cauliflower and some veg so I hope to make a spicy soup that’ll last a couple of days later.

FridayNighFeeling · 25/03/2026 11:20

It certainly can be draining @stealthninjamum but well done for trying to keep ahead of yourself with handy snacks.

I'm basically eating the same lunch every day - chicken wrap or sandwich or flatbread with salad of some description, just takes the guess work out and different flavours means it tastes a bit different every day.

Emmadaily · 25/03/2026 11:21

Hi everyone ☺️
Just had a good catch up on everyone
Seems all us going well and couple of resets to so good luck 👍
@FridayNighFeeling
Hope all is well and your hospital appointments went well 😘
I.wrighed in at Slimming World last Saturday I gained a pound so since Sunday I have reigned in a little so hopefully no gain on Saturday
Still on target but don't like gaining but I kind of know what to do to stop the trend so will see this Saturday.
Maintenance still proving a little harder for me
8 stone 7 and half last Saturday.
Target weight 8 stone 9
So still lower end which I'm pleased about.
Have a great week everyone and will look out for more updates 😀 xx

Hello guys,

Well, I’ve pretty much reached my first goal weight (90kg) that I set at the start of the year. I’m 90.6kg today, and that means I’m really hoping I’ll be in the 80s either next WoW or the one after!!!

I’m now in working towards a new GW of 80kg. Thanks everyone for always being so supportive.

SW: 102.1kg
CW: 90.6kg
GW: 80kg
