Following on from ⭐️LOSE IT! March 2026. Reset for Radiance⭐️

How was March’s Reset for Radiance for you? Not so radiant here what with an injured shoulder and a stinking virus to contend with 😅 Fingers crossed that April brings more than showers for us all!❤️

To reach optimum health and vitality (as well as a trim body) we need to focus not only on our food intake; but movement, our mental health and sleep quality too!

Who doesn’t want to feel good and energetic as well looking great!
Get on board to reset & refresh and become a healthier version of yourself.

These threads are for those who’d like to lose weight and those who wish to maintain whilst eating a healthy varied diet.

As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We have a WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable) that’s based on several sensible principles including:-

  1. Eat a variety of real whole foods such as fresh vegetables, salad, berries, beans, nuts, eggs, lean meat, good fats etc.

  2. Reduce sugars, simple carbs, alcohol and UPFs.

  3. Plan your meals & log your intake. Also be mindful of portion control.

  4. Intermittent fasting - research suggests (Zoe study) that adhering to an eating window of 10 hours can have a positive effect on health, wellbeing and weight loss. I personally have a eating window of approximately 7hrs - 12:00 - 19:00.

  5. Stay hydrated! 💧

  6. Move as much as able. Particularly strength based exercise. Muscle keeps you strong as well as revs up your metabolism.

  7. Get the fibre in! Great for your gut biome as well as 💩

  8. SLEEP! Good sleep hygiene and a regularly sleep routine can be beneficial to weight loss. I’m always more hungry following poor sleep.

  9. Be mindful about your own mental wellbeing and try not to eat your feelings. We’ve all been there!

  10. Be kind to yourself! ❤️ One or two slip ups won’t undo all your previous efforts. Just check-in with yourself, reinforce your good intentions and carry on.

I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and eat twice a day. Im a long time healthy eater and overall I’ve lost over 3 stone.

After having been on the wrong side of 12st Im now hovering around 9st 3lbs.

Are you in?😊 What food plan will you be following? What do you want to change and why?

Any recipes/workouts that have worked for you, you’d like to share?

Thank you for the new thread @TheRealHousewife I’m hoping April goes more smoothly for us all!

Sorry to hear about your shoulder - physical and dietary difficulties do make this weight loss lark more complicated!

TheRealHousewife · 31/03/2026 19:41

You’re welcome! & Thank you @LemonDrizzle23 … I do miss the days when I could run half marathons, swim like a fish and lift weights. That said, you have to keep going and do what you can whilst you can 👍

biscuitcat · 31/03/2026 20:22

Thanks for the new thread, @TheRealHousewife! Here checking in for April 💪

I looked back at my weigh ins for the month/year, and while I lost a measly 200g in March, I’ve actually lost 9.5lbs this year. It’s much, much slower than I was losing last year, when I was at the best part of 5/6lbs a month, but isn’t as bad as I thought it had been. I’m really hoping to feel more on track this month and see some progress. I would love to see the 11s by the end of this month, which would be around 1lb a week.

Hopefully everyone is enjoying the spring and feeling hopeful that weeks upon weeks of rain are seeming to be abating (🤞)!

thenewaveragebear1983 · 31/03/2026 22:05

I’d like to join you for April please 🙏 I have had a really difficult few months and I have bobbed up and down for 6 months, I weigh the same today as I did 1st November - which would have been great if I was leisurely maintaining but I have been actively dieting for all that time and have basically gotten nowhere. So a few weeks ago I decided to go strict back to basics and follow fast800 for a few weeks. I’ve had the best week on plan in ages and lost 3lbs last week, and I’d really like to do the same again this week. I am not managing 800 calories especially on days where I run, but I think by aiming for 800 it’s making 1200 feel like a luxury and that’s still a good deficit for me.

Fellsbells · 31/03/2026 22:33

Thanks @TheRealHousewife
checking in for April.

moondip · 01/04/2026 06:49

Morning all - and thanks @TheRealHousewife for the new thread! 💗

As hoped, I have seen the 80s for the first time in years this morning…! I have to say though, the past couple of days I’ve really pushed myself deficit wise, so I’m sensing things are really gonna slow down for me soon, and I’ll probably start seeing some STS/gains. But that was always gonna happen at some point; the next challenge for me is gonna be staying on track even when I’m not seeing results - the scary part 😵‍💫 I had a lot to lose and knew the first big chunk would come off much easier than the rest.

Here’s to April being a great month for us all 🙏

SW: 102.1kg
CW: 89.80kg
GW: 80kg

TealSloth · 01/04/2026 07:01

Thankyou for the new thread am on. Need to give my best this month.

GreenMarigold · 01/04/2026 07:15

I’m going to try and join you. I am only a little over the top end of the recommended BMI for my height but I would really like to lose about a stone and get more comfortable in my clothes. The weight has been creeping on this last year or two and I need to reverse it.

I’ve been trying to calorie count and also dabbling with intermittent fasting some days. I’ve just bought myself a rebounder and have been using it for 20-30 mins a day, and I feel like that is really making a positive difference to my body shape, as well as hopefully burning a few calories.

Anyway, I’m starting April at 10st 1.6 lbs. Here’s to a good month everyone!

LemonDrizzle23 · 01/04/2026 07:32

Morning WOWers!

March vanished! And I haven’t logged a weight in Happy Scale since February apparently, so I’m
going back to it to start getting some more accurate data.

I think Ive lost about 1lb this week.

SW: 15 st 8
CW: 13 st 11.4

My goal for April is 13 st 8 to break the 2 stone barrier. I was achingly close in November and then never really got going again after the Christmas gain, with injuries and illness etc.

We’re away next week, and I will be taking my yoga mat with me! We end up eating lots of sandwiches and crisps on days out, which rack up the calories! So will try and remain mindful.

Good luck to everyone weighing in.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 01/04/2026 07:35

My weigh day is Monday but i did step on the scales this morning and I’m 11.0.5 (so close!) which is a couple of pounds down, and 5lbs in 10 days which is marvellous. Good old fast800 👍

biscuitcat · 01/04/2026 07:43

Good morning all! I’m half a pound down this week, which is a step in the right direction.

SW - 15st10.5
CW - 12st3

Aiming for another high protein day today, to help me stay full and stave off snacking (the less said about the half packet of marshmallows yesterday the better…).

Well done everyone checking in, whatever the scale says - staying accountable is half the battle 💜

mermadeincornwall · 01/04/2026 08:04

Morning all
1lb off.

Current weight 11st 6lb
Goal 10 stone.
Slowly getting there.

@TealSloth ,Fridaynightfeeling💕
Love the new thread @TheRealHousewife
Happy WOW everyone

ChunkyMonkey36 · 01/04/2026 08:28

First weigh in since I got a scales-shock last week and started making some changes - 4lbs off in 6 days.

Busy day today, no childcare so got lots on with my disabled DS, and then I’ve got a liver scan this afternoon. Not allowed to eat for 6hrs before it so I’ve planned and prepped dinner.

I already haven’t eaten since 7 last night so otherwise that would have been definite binge territory for me!

Tichter · 01/04/2026 08:41

Hello, I'm two weeks into getting fitter. Had to stop swimming for fitness last year due to chlorine skin sensitivity - completely gutted. Haven't really paid attention to fitness since.

Hence starting weight 85kg
First target goal 79kg - overweight, rather than obese class 1
GW 67kg - outer end of normal BMI for me

Am planning weights, walking and yoga.

Tichter · 01/04/2026 08:43

My scales shock came when the nurse asked me to step on the scales when I was getting my thyroid bloods done.

Toomanyemails · 01/04/2026 09:06

I'd like to join please. I think I posted regularly here a couple of years ago, then life changes happened while my weight slowly increased. I have a very small frame (5ft1) so even at a healthy BMI my body can feel quite soft and unhealthy.

I started weekly weigh ins at the start of March at 55.1kg, and today I'm 54.2kg, slow and steady progress so far! My big struggle is I have always really enjoyed my food, especially bakery sweet treats, so it's easy to overeat and snack a lot.
I'm focusing on mindful eating based around whole foods and plants, hitting protein and fibre goals, and regular movement. I don't count calories. I've also started strength classes at my gym twice a week, combined with 70k minimum weekly steps and treadmill incline walking.

My target is 51.5kg but I'm really focusing on getting to a lean figure more than the scales number, so may end up aiming higher or lower than that. Alongside my first month's loss of 0.9kg, I can definitely feel some muscles getting firmer!

TheRealHousewife · 01/04/2026 18:10

Hello You Lovely Lot x

You’re very welcome @Emmadaily @biscuitcat @mermadeincornwall @moondip @TealSloth @Fellsbells @thenewaveragebear1983

Welcome back @Toomanyemails ❤️

Hi @Tichter Swimming tends to be a twin edge sword … the chlorine plays havoc with my baby lights which tends to put me off going… and in a swim cap I scare children 😅

That’s great progress for your first week @ChunkyMonkey36 👍👌

Welcome to the thread @GreenMarigold

Wishing everyone an active and successful month 🤞🤞🤞

May I join you for April please? I’ve lost a little over a stone but it’s taken me over a year and I think a little community support and a concerted effort might help to get me where I need to be…
Weighed in this morning at 11st 3.8
Would like to get to 9st 6 (eventually) but I’m well aware that may take me longer than a month!

I’ll be calorie counting and increasing my exercise to get there. Have also recently stopped drinking.

FridayNighFeeling · 01/04/2026 20:13

Welcome newbies including @WhatMaggieDid it is a lovely, supportive group.

I'm back from my few days of debauchery - ice cream, fish & chips and a few cocktails but I think it was around maintenance calories even so... will get on the scales tomorrow regardless to see what's what but will take a few days to stabilise I think.

In other news I've tried most of the classes on offer at the gym and found quite a few that I really like so will be going back to those for sure.

In other news. Near the end of "Addicted to anxiety" that @TheRealHousewife and someone else was interested in (sorry can't remember who) Lots of good stuff and lifestyle stuff as we know e.g. work/life balance, importance of sleep, exercise you enjoy, whole food, reduce doom scrolling - definitely stuff I've been trying to implement!

pinkpip100 · 01/04/2026 21:11

I’d like to join too please - I am well and truly disheartened and demotivated at the moment as the scales just seem to be going in the wrong direction. I know I’m eating too much and not moving enough, but I just can’t seem to stick with any routine to improve things. Really determined to lose some weight and feel healthier this spring/summer. Someone earlier mentioned rebounding - my daughter recently got a trampette to help with a dance injury, but I hadn’t even considered using it myself - I’m now going to start googling beginners rebound exercises!

I had a bit of an off day today, two meals out and a chocolate incident tipped me way over my calorie and carb goals. However I have been really on it recently so my week still overall balances out. Tomorrow I have another meal out although I have already checked and they do a lighter steak option with salad so that is what I’m going to have. I will try to limit during the day to keep to my plan, plus I do want to do a decent length run so today’s carbs will come in useful! We go away Friday so I do really need a good day tomorrow although my plan is still to try to keep on track while we’re away. March was the best month I have had in a very long time and I’d like April to continue.

I have signed up to a half marathon (2 actually) in training for my October marathon, so I have 5 weeks til that so that’s a good goal for me to work
towards. 1lb a week til then would mean I was the lowest I have been in 18 months and is very doable. I was made redundant last week and I have treated myself to some home workout equipment and done a simple plan with 3 short sessions a week to hopefully get some muscle tone back as well.

10kstepsaday · 01/04/2026 23:05

Hello all! Id like to join again please. I lost 3lbs in March.
I didn't weigh today so my next weigh will be next week.

I am really trying to repair my relationship with food, and focus on being as healthy as possible, more mindful whilst eating and not feeling guilty about the treats. Although treats those should definitely be more in moderation than currently!

Oh I hope you enjoy rebounding, I think it’s really fun! I try to do 10 mins before breakfast, then 10 mins at lunch time and another 10 mins while dinner is cooking. I used to go to a class so I know the basic moves and just make it up as I go along but there are lots of good YouTube videos.

I’ve been doing it a few weeks and I think my legs look a bit more toned and the weight I was carrying around my hips is a bit less jiggly!
