Following on from ⭐️LOSE IT! February Fitness 2026⭐️

February was gone in a flash! Sunny skies will soon be back ☀️

To reach optimum health and vitality (as well as a trim body) we need to focus not only on our food intake; but movement, our mental health and sleep quality too!

Who doesn’t want to feel good and energetic as well looking great!

Get on board to reset & refresh and become a healthier version of yourself.

These threads are for those who’d like to lose weight and those who wish to maintain whilst eating a healthy varied diet.

As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We have a WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable) that’s based on several sensible principles including:-

  1. Eat a variety of real whole foods such as fresh vegetables, salad, berries, beans, nuts, eggs, lean meat, good fats etc.
  2. Reduce sugars, simple carbs, alcohol and UPFs.
  3. Plan your meals & log your intake. Also be mindful of portion control.
  4. Intermittent fasting - research suggests (Zoe study) that adhering to an eating window of 10 hours can have a positive effect on health, wellbeing and weight loss. I personally have a eating window of approximately 7hrs - 12:00 - 19:00.
  5. Stay hydrated! 💧
  6. Move as much as able. Particularly strength based exercise. Muscle keeps you strong as well as revs up your metabolism.
  7. Get the fibre in! Great for your gut biome as well as 💩
  8. SLEEP! Good sleep hygiene and a regularly sleep routine can be beneficial to weight loss. I’m always more hungry following poor sleep.
  9. Be mindful about your own mental wellbeing and try not to eat your feelings. We’ve all been there!
  10. Be kind to yourself. One or two slip ups won’t undo all your previous efforts. Just check-in with yourself, reinforce your good intentions and carry on.

I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and eat twice a day. Im a long time healthy eater and overall I’ve lost over 3 stone.

After having been on the wrong side of 12st Im now hovering around 9st 3lbs.

Are you in?😊 What food plan will you be following? What do you want to change and why?

Any recipes/workouts that have worked for you, you’d like to share?

Will catch up later but just checking in to report a 2lb loss this week.

moondip · 18/03/2026 19:08

Hello all,
Well done to everyone whether you’ve had a loss, gain, or STS!
I have had a better loss this week, down 1.65kg on last week. I think keeping protein and fibre high is helping a lot, as well as all the carrying around DC demands atm, even though I’m going over calories on NutraCheck.

SW: 102.1kg
CW: 91.4kg
1st GW: 90kg

Not far off my first goal now, and then I’ll be aiming for my next goal of 80kg!!!

FridayNighFeeling · 18/03/2026 20:43

Well done all! @moondip that's great progress

I've done my 2nd exercise class tonight and still here to tell the tale Wink going to try a few different ones over the next few weeks too.

I'm down to -26lbs, would love to get to 2 stone by Easter. Doable right?

moondip · 19/03/2026 04:53

@FridayNighFeeling Thank you! And another 2lbs off - you can do it for Easter 💪 Especially with those exercise classes. I really need to start something a bit more formal than walking soon…

HappyLittleTreeFriend · 19/03/2026 07:01

Hello all, not weighing this week but doing much better calorie wise and calorie counting again. Need to restart my yoga which I haven’t done any of this month 🙈🙈🙈 and feel not great for it, I have been pretty active in general though so I feel fairly good.

socks1107 · 19/03/2026 11:01

Good morning all I’m going with Sundays weight as haven’t weighed since which gave me -3lb loss and hit holiday goal. I’ve not weighed since as moving average was also at goal so I’m still calorie counting but avoiding any scales until after Easter now and just enjoying the figure being in my app. Sadly holiday will not be shorts or swimwear more jeans and coats thanks to some horrible weather but that means long coastal walks which keeps my weight moving down despite all the food I’ll consune!!

Sw 13.14
CW 10.9
GW 10.5

4lbs left to go for my final final goal!

TheRealHousewife · 19/03/2026 16:06

Afternoon You Lovely Lot … I’ve noticed I’ve not pisted for a while; I don’t know where the time has gone!

Anyways I for one am very pleased the sun has been making an appearance and that many spring flowers have bloomed. The morning bird song is the cherry on top 🥰 Spring is absolutely my favourite season!

Ive been eating on point but no loss of note, simply maintaining. It is what it is.

Menu
Meal 1 - Hummus, sauerkraut, green salad & seeded crackers. Pecans. Hibiscus Tea.
Meal 2 - Halloumi Stir Fry. Greek yoghurt with mixed seeds.
Drinks - Tea, black coffee & water.

@socks1107 Great update! You’ll soon be at goal!

@FridayNighFeeling You’ve made such good progress! 👏

There are some fabulous updates being shared … Congratulations on your progress 🥳

For those of us staying the same, maintaining or temporarily bumping up well done on carrying on and staying accountable; remember it’s what you achieve over time. If you are generally seeing that you have made progress over 3 months, 6 months, a year, that’s what is important. Weight loss isn’t linear and it’s that aspect that is frustrating. Knowing you’re doing exercise and eating on point but not being rewarded on the defiant scale.

Another 3lb lost here so I am in touching distance of a total 8 stone loss now. I'm trying intermittent fasting and it seems.to be working for me.

Another bootcamp tonight - 50 burpees wasn't fun!

Wowee that is bloody fantastic. You’ve lost a smallish person worth of weight!!

TheRealHousewife · 20/03/2026 07:34

Good Morning Everyone 🙂

On point with eating but not so good on exercise. Not by choice, but by injury/pain. I do what I can when I can so I’m not going to beat myself up about it. Although it would be lovely to be able to exercise with abandon 🏃‍♀️

Menu
Meal 1 - Home made vegetable & mixed bean soup. Walnuts.
Meal 2 - Oven baked salmon & large salad. Chopped pear & kefir.
Drinks - Tea, black cofffee, hibiscus tea & water.

Another little loss for me this morning taking me to within sniffing distance of 10 stone. I think I will go under 10 soon then bounce back up about before I stay under 10.

I’d then like to lose another 7lbs before a holiday in August but the sooner the better really.

Another lovely day here, hope you’ve all got some sunshine.

Edited to add - 10 stone has been my ‘initial goal’ for about 5 years, maybe more and this is the first time I’ve got this close.

TheWayTheLightFalls · 20/03/2026 14:13

That is very good going @Determinedloser !

Lovely menu @TheRealHousewife !

All ok here, even if eating is still a little erratic. Lots of weights, and I think I can see my body shape slowly starting to change. Might be good timing with the warmer weather.

biscuitcat · 20/03/2026 15:47

Some amazing weigh ins here, huge congratulations!

I’m currently in a very frustrating slump and have basically been the same for a month now - just losing and gaining the same 2 or 3 lbs. I need to be stricter with tracking I think, and I’ve noticed little bites here and there sneaking in which I’ve been not really counting and it seems like those are adding up. My positive is that I’m nearly 3 dress sizes smaller than this time last year - enough that people are surprised if I mention I’d still like to lose another two stone or so. Hopefully the warmer weather will help as salad season gets going!

Today’s menu:

B - banana
L - chicken salad
D - quiche with new potatoes and salad

Pasta4Dinner · 20/03/2026 16:58

Weight isn’t moving but it’s staying down. Been going hard at the gym and a couple of classes. Honestly I am knackered. Promised myself I wouldn’t start trying on clothes until I was under 80kg, I’m 80.4kg just now.
I also desperately need new jeans, the ones I wear are hanging off, want to be a bit smaller though before I buy some, don’t think I am in the size down quite yet.

10kstepsaday · 21/03/2026 07:16

Slinking back into the thread, haven't posted for a couple of weeks 😳
However just caught up on the thread and you're all so inspiring!! And have given me a motivation kick up the bum!! I am still 10.5 an my first goal is 9.7. long term I'd like to be 9.0.

I have been working out sporadically doing Sydney Cummings weight sessions and going for a walk most days however it needs to be more consistent!

The sun shining again has also helped motivate me!!

VividDeer · 21/03/2026 07:33

Wow. Some great inspiration here. I was on the verge of WLI, but here I am. I am generally sticking to all the sensible principles on your opening post. But I'm not calorie counting. Have dieting fatigue!

My stats

Starting weight 1st jan 11.1
Lost around 10lbs. Period this week so scales misbehaving. But I've done loads of exercise

I'm 5'1" so need to get to 9 stone if possible.

LemonDrizzle23 · 21/03/2026 08:41

The sun shining is definitely helping my mood overall! And obviously making it easier to get out and about.

Two lovely (longer) yoga sessions this week. I have noticed that most of the YouTube sessions I’m doing are about 25mins, whereas the classes at my gym see to be 45-60mins. So I’m going to need to up my practice length before I head to a gym one. The weight bearing of downward dog etc is definitely strengthening my bad shoulder, which is a lovely side effect of the practice!

Whats everyone up to this weekend? My disgusting plague-like cold has finally gone, so I’m going out for a coffee, then heading to the gym. Still not getting on the scales! But back to calorie counting. Out for lunch tomorrow and planning a light tea to compensate.

biscuitcat · 21/03/2026 09:05

Hope everyone has some lovely sunshine this weekend! I need to check in more often, as I mentioned I’ve been a bit off track and coming here really helps. We’re off to the beach today then swimming tomorrow.

The menu plan:

L - something as high protein as I can find at the beach cafe!
D - Hawaiian meatballs with rice and plenty of veg

LegoTherapy · 21/03/2026 11:25

Happy Saturday all! I need to catch up. I’ve just started adhd medication and not quite with it at the moment. No appetite so far. Had to force my porridge down this morning. Lots of cheese yesterday for the protein but didn’t want to eat it.

Will try and catch up later but remember you’ve all got this and every small step is a step towards health. Slow and steady never lost the race.

TheWayTheLightFalls · 21/03/2026 12:19

Adhd meds can really kill your appetite @LegoTherapy . Make sure you are getting good stuff into your body. Hope you get on with the meds.

FridayNighFeeling · 21/03/2026 16:09

Glad the lurgy has left @LemonDrizzle23 Went for coffee cake with a friend this morning. Did some cleaning and admin after and the BBQ is going. Tomorrow is a walk and the rest of the cleaning.

I'm doing 3 classes this week eek Monday, Thursday and Saturday... hopefully that will work well but just want to try as many of the different options as possible rather than just doing the same class every time.

Enjoy the sunshine all of you!

Gaw, you’re not wrong! Today I’ve had my usual porridge, banana milk, a croissant and 6 biscuits. I’d have happily not bothered with any of it. I’m only in day 2 so it might settle down.

10kstepsaday · 21/03/2026 21:53

Today I've stuck to my calories, done a 30 min cardio workout, 10ksteps and lots of water. Avoided the cake when took the kids out for lunch in a cafe!

Meals were avocado and egg on sourdough, chicken stir fry and rice, fruit and a skinny whip bar for snacks.

I have made a tahini and chia breakfast bowl for tomorrow's breakfast 😋
