⭐️Open to All⭐️

Following on from ⭐️LOSE IT! February Fitness 2026⭐️

February was gone in a flash! Sunny skies will soon be back ☀️

To reach optimum health and vitality (as well as a trim body) we need to focus not only on our food intake; but movement, our mental health and sleep quality too!

Who doesn’t want to feel good and energetic as well looking great!

Get on board to reset & refresh and become a healthier version of yourself.

These threads are for those who’d like to lose weight and those who wish to maintain whilst eating a healthy varied diet.

As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We have a WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable) that’s based on several sensible principles including:-

  1. Eat a variety of real whole foods such as fresh vegetables, salad, berries, beans, nuts, eggs, lean meat, good fats etc.
  2. Reduce sugars, simple carbs, alcohol and UPFs.
  3. Plan your meals & log your intake. Also be mindful of portion control.
  4. Intermittent fasting - research suggests (Zoe study) that adhering to an eating window of 10 hours can have a positive effect on health, wellbeing and weight loss. I personally have a eating window of approximately 7hrs - 12:00 - 19:00.
  5. Stay hydrated! 💧
  6. Move as much as able. Particularly strength based exercise. Muscle keeps you strong as well as revs up your metabolism.
  7. Get the fibre in! Great for your gut biome as well as 💩
  8. SLEEP! Good sleep hygiene and a regularly sleep routine can be beneficial to weight loss. I’m always more hungry following poor sleep.
  9. Be mindful about your own mental wellbeing and try not to eat your feelings. We’ve all been there!
  10. Be kind to yourself. One or two slip ups won’t undo all your previous efforts. Just check-in with yourself, reinforce your good intentions and carry on.

I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and eat twice a day. Im a long time healthy eater and overall I’ve lost over 3 stone.

After having been on the wrong side of 12st Im now hovering around 9st 3lbs.

Are you in?😊 What food plan will you be following? What do you want to change and why?

Any recipes/workouts that have worked for you, you’d like to share?

I am feeling much less than radiant after February! So I shall join the March thread and aim to be more radiant by the end!

Thank you for the new thread @TheRealHousewife I hope you’re keeping as well as possible.

Emmadaily · 28/02/2026 14:15

Marvelous March here we go

Thanks for the new thread
February ended ok for me
No Slimming world this morning
I did my weigh in at home
Not my official weigh in but according to my scales I have stayed exactly the same
8st 6 pounds
So happy with that
Didn't move after early evening out
Posh burger with side salad skipped the chips but had a very generous slice of Birthday cake
Brought some home so will share later .
Evening meal Basa fish .
Savoy cabbage
Sprouts
And home made parsley sauce oh my Slimming world chips to
Getting hungry now
Wishing every one here a great Marvelous March
Good luck
Xx

moondip · 28/02/2026 16:39

Signing on quickly! Thanks for the new thread 😚

Determinedloser · 28/02/2026 17:17

Thanks for the new thread. Checking in ready for a positive start to March.

Determinedloser · 28/02/2026 17:18

3.6lbs off for me in Feb and I’m happy with that. Slow and steady wins the race.

Preseli · 28/02/2026 17:33

Hello, I would love to join too!

Started dieting last Sunday (using fast 800 keto) and have managed to stick to it for the first week without any issues, so hopefully I will be able to continue this and would love to be able to check in 😊 I really need to get the weight off due to health issues so need to get it sorted!

Started at 15st 6 currently 14st 12 so the water weight has come off and now hopefully should be a steady downwards trend to the finish line and slightly better mobility!

JuniorMint14 · 28/02/2026 17:44

@LemonDrizzle23 I'm not feeling particularly radiant either 🤣 here's to a better March!

Thank you for the new thread, signing back in. Totally fell off the last thread while selling our house. Moving in a month so will be clearing the cupboards and freezer - some of this will be healthy, I have lots of frozen veg to get through but I've also just made a cake from tinned peaches to be eaten with tinned custard so a mixed bag! Aiming to start every day with one of the meals from my new Filling Meals book to curb my snacking and set me off on a good track even if the rest of the day gets away with me.

GreatAuntytobe · 28/02/2026 17:51

So pleased to have found this thread. I'm probably the heaviest person on here so a bit nervous about joining but here goes! After basically just stuffing myself with any old rubbish this last year or so, I was horrified to get on the scales and find I'm the heaviest I've ever been in my life 17st 5 and half pounds! That was on Thursday and today I'm 16st 13 and a half pounds so obviously, the water weight has dropped off. I've been to weight watchers on and off over many years and just can't face going again, so I'm going to try and do it by myself this time. I know everything about calorie counting, I could write a book, it's putting it into practice and staying on with it that's the problem. It would be great to have the support of people on here and to do a weigh in every Wednesday. I'm 5ft 8 and, initially, I'm aiming to get into the 15st bracket then take it from there. I can never go back to 17st plus again as I felt terrible. Wishing everyone else well with their "getting healthier" journey!

Pasta4Dinner · 28/02/2026 18:33

Checking in. Fingers crossed for a better month. Desperate to get under 80kg

biscuitcat · 28/02/2026 19:29

Thanks for the new thread @TheRealHousewife!

We had a lovely date day (sans children!) today so lunch was a rather indulgent steak, chips and creamed spinach, plus dessert - I imagine about a million calories, but totally worth it.

I’ve ended February 3.5lbs lighter than I started it, and I think my weight loss is slowing a little as I used to pretty consistently manage nearly 6lbs a month, but so long as it keeps going the right way I’m not too worried about pace. At 3.5lbs a month, I’m 8 months away from my provisional end goal.

Welcome to new joiners! @GreatAuntytobe - don’t worry at all about how you weigh compared to others, just joining and deciding to make a change is such a positive step and this is such a wonderful, kind, supportive gang. I know I’m not the only one who would say these threads have been absolutely game changing in helping me with my weight loss. The thing which has made most difference for me is reducing UPFs and prioritising protein, as it helps me cut down on snacking which is my absolute downfall!

GreatAuntytobe · 28/02/2026 20:05

Thanks for the welcome. Yes, I'm trying to eat as much non UPF as possible. It's a different weekend than I'm used to food wise but I'm persevering as I really don't feel well physically at this weight so that's the best incentive I could have.

mumof1littlebun · 01/03/2026 07:39

I’d like to join please. I contributed a little last year but have been up and down with my healthy eating and need to refocus. I haven’t been terrible but could do with snacking less!

weighed in this morning at 12st 9 and my start weight was 15st 8. Would love to be in the 11’s by the time the weather warms up and treat myself to some nice clothes rather than just things that fit and I hoped hid my fat!

Jecstar · 01/03/2026 08:16

Morning all, fell off the last few threads with the business of life. Going to focus on limited snacking - have discovered work sell chocolate orange twirls in the canteen which was my downfall last month, and walking the 20mins each way from the train station to the office to build my steps into my day that way.

TheRealHousewife · 01/03/2026 10:26

LemonDrizzle23 · 01/03/2026 20:23

Spent most of today sat on my bum watching DS doing an activity, however I did also fit in some very satisfying yoga. Being a bit careful with the back and shoulder still, but everything held up ok.

Did terribly on the food front as we had people over for dinner and afternoon snacks a plenty. Fridge is stacked with healthy stuff though, so going to ditch the remnants of the crisps and get back on it tomorrow.

Morning, I definitely have fallen off the wagon, with emotional eating, so intend to start again. I will weigh myself on Wednesday like the rest of you. I tried the low carb bootcamp, but couldn't stick to it. It did work quite well for me in the first couple of weeks so I can definitely try it again, when I have a less stressful life.

petitpasta · 02/03/2026 07:02

Can I join? I've lost 7.5 stone over 20 months and would like to lose 4 more. Yes I've used WLI but I've also massively overhauled my diet and joined two gyms. I do 5-6 workouts a week, mix of bootcamp style sessions, cardio and pilates. I really like the range of this thread though and want to improve my sleep and further tweak my diet.

I'm currently reading No Nonsense Nutrition by Dominique Ludwig which is inspiring me to make more dietary changes. She's on Instagram if anyone wants to check her out.

TheWayTheLightFalls · 02/03/2026 08:24

Thank you @TheRealHousewife ! Happy March all!

Signing in for OMAD here, with nary a plan / meal in sight. It’ll be fiiiiine…

Fellsbells · 02/03/2026 10:30

Thanks for the thread @TheRealHousewife

Happy March everyone and welcome to new joiners.

After a solid 5 months of tracking daily I’ve had two weeks off and gained 2lbs. I hit my threshold weight for clamping down this morning so I’m back to tracking. I need the daily structure and control that only tracking gives.

In the short term I’ve got a busy three weeks coming up with a big physical activity at the end of it so exercise and nutrition are high on my list of priorities this month.
