I am down 300g from yesterday, which has encouraged me no end, though I am well aware that that is not going to happen every day.
@TheRealHousewife I do like your philosophy for this thread. It works for me: being motivated by small wins, understanding that the downward slope of weight loss is punctuated by little upspikes, like the silhouettes of trees on an alpine mountain.
Also that it is important to give ourselves credit for looking after our bodies and minds, and not focus on depriving or punishing ourselves.
Very relaxed approach yesterday;
Last chunk of Pannetonne - half a slice
Coffee
Blueberries with Oat bran,Flax seeds,Spoon of full fat yog.
One slice of toast (thin, sourdough wholemeal) spread with the last of some gorgeous creamy French cheese (no butter) salad leaves, tomato, zingy slaw*
Clemantine, a couple of chocolate gingers, a couple of those Roka cheese biscuits
Beef stew with onions and mushrooms, mash (no butter!), cabbage, green beans.
1 glass red wine. I spoonful of homemade ice cream.
*Zingy Slaw is an essential for my ‘steady on’ eating. Finely shredded cabbage and carrot (red cabbage makes this glorious to look at) and anything else crunchy you fancy, I suppose. Dress with loads of lime juice (lemon would be ok) , grated ginger (jar is ok), oil - I use sesame but olive would be ok, and salt. Add finely chopped chilli if you like it / have any.
A real hit of taste, filling, very low calorie (easy on the oil) and a very cheap salad when leaves are so expensive.
Glad to see we have other Shetland fans amongst us! I find good TV helps forfend against boredom temptation on these long winter evenings.
Have a great day everyone!
