January 2025! Following on from LOSE IT! December 2024

Fresh Start, New Habits! To reach optimum health and vitality (as well as a slim bod) we need to focus not only on our food intake; but movement, our mental health and sleep quality too!

Who doesn’t want to feel good and energetic as well looking great!

Get on board to reset & refresh and become a healthier version of yourself.

These threads are for those who’d like to lose weight and those who wish to maintain whilst eating a healthy varied diet.

As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We generally have WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable).

I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and eat twice a day. Im a long time healthy eater and overall I’ve lost over 3 stone. After having been on the wrong side of 12st Im now hovering around 9st 5lbs.

Evening All

Menu
Meal 1 - 1 egg omelette in a small wrap.
Meal 2 - Roast beef, cauliflower, carrots, broccoli, cabbage, parsnips, roast potato, gravy & horseradish sauce. GF chocolate sponge & custard.
Tea, black coffee & water. B52 cocktail 😬

Intending to have a lighter day tomorrow as I’ve busted my cal allowance out of the water.

I was away for the weekend and didn't do a last weigh of January or a first weigh of February. I've walked loads but had weekend of eating things I normally wouldn't at places I wouldn't normally go. I'm fascinated how Wetherspoons get nearly 1000 calories into a very thin crust margarita pizza that isn't heavy on the cheese. My lunch went back today because apparently me specifying no tomato didn't obviously mean no tomato salsa. It was drowning in tomato salsa and it couldn't be scraped off. By the time I sorted that out it was too late to order a different meal or have them fix it otherwise we'd have missed our train. We didn't get time for a stock of rock or an ice cream in the beach either so maybe the calories weren't too outrageous.
I'll weigh in on Wednesday and hope for the best.

@LegoTherapy Although you won’t have thought it at the time Weatherspoons did you a favour; I agree that foods out and about always seem to have more cals than similar foods prepped at home.

Meal 1 - Mushroom omelette & side salad.
Meal 2 - Halloumi & Butterbean stir fry.
Tea, black coffee & water.

We need February thread to keep up the hard work we cannot stop i have achieved sooo much.
Stopped binge eating
Cut down on portion size
Mentally fully focused on my goal. Let's keep up the threads for each month. @TheRealHousewife
Met so many nice ladies who have achieved and gave plenty of ideas how to go forward each day.
