My best mate is getting married in July - I would so love to get rid of a couple of stone by then.

best of luck to all of you. Can I ask a favour of one of you if you go to classes. Could someone ask if pregnant women can/should have more healthy extras. Going to follow it from tomorrow after a fashion, I won't be too strict and I know you can do SW whilst pg but just not sure if you can eat extra. Cheers m'dears

Demented · 03/01/2005 21:45

I took the plunge this evening and signed up. Never been to a slimming class before so was very nervous. I lost quite a bit with MN Mamas last year so don't have too much to lose and will probably be happy with my 10% thing. Not got a clue what I am going to eat tomorrow but ready to give this a go!

SPARKLER1 · 03/01/2005 21:46

I saw a girl yesterday that I haven't seen for a few months. She started on another weight loss plan

BTW - you didn't come to my class did you??????

Sparkler, from what I have seen SW looks far more achievable for a longterm plan. I lost quite a bit of my weight last year with a copy of some WW points and did find it quite restrictive, counting fruit for example, (although I understand they have a different plan out).

Demented · 03/01/2005 21:49

Which part of the country are you in Sparkler? I am in Dunfermline, Scotland.

SPARKLER1 · 03/01/2005 21:51

I know I have been grumbling that I haven't got much willpower - but have to say that SW is really a fantastic weight loss plan. As long as I have a well stocked up fridge, freezer, fruit basket and cupboards I can do just fine. With xmas we have just had so much bad stuff in foodwise and it really hasn't helped. Shall get a good shop in on Wednesday and I should do better.

ROFL - you definitely didn't come to my class then. I'm in Poole in Dorset. Have you added your name to my "Where is everyone" thread???

I'm going to join my local S.W. class this week. My very first one! Bit nervous as i don't really know anybody here and will be on my own.I have this idea in my head that everybody else will go with their mum, best friend, workmate, etc. It makes me cringe!!!

Twiglett · 03/01/2005 22:09

I went on my own and still do which suits me fine .. I run in get weighed and run out

SPARKLER1 · 03/01/2005 22:10

Beth I went along to SW on my own. Everyone at my group is so friendly. Have become really good friends with some of them now. We all went out as a group for a xmas meal in December. We had a wonderful evening and expect that an evening out will happen again soon. You'll be just fine. If your consultant is friendly and welcoming everyone else will to too!

Twiglett - why don't you stay to class. I find it really helpful and I also find it good to socialise with everyone.

SPARKLER1, i have generally found people aren't very friendly round here!! I've lived here nearly 2 years and don't speak to anybody that i didn't know before! Even at school! But it's not going to stop me going!!

SPARKLER1 · 04/01/2005 14:38

Oooooh it's gone past lunch time and I haven't eat one naughty thing. Have been filling out my food diary too. Think I may have got there girls. Did a huge food shop this morning - was going to wait until Friday but decided not to. Going to make meatballs tonight out of SW recipie book.

TBH Sparkley I'm not sure I'm up for all that lets clap everyone's weight loss and listen to everyone elses experience .. is that horrible ..

I'm sure if I start finding it difficult or onerous I would

oh and I have to get back to put baby to bed
