2 Stone Slimmer For Summer - a thread for those with lots to lose

Here we go! This is our third 2 stones off thread.

I did really well in 2 stones off for Xmas, less good in the Easter thread.

I found having an end date in sight meant I could focus on the date rather than than the monumental amount of weight I needed to lose

End date for this thread is 15th July which will roughly tie in with school holidays. 15 weeks from today.

Welcome to anyone new who wants to join and to anyone who has been involved in either of the two previous threads.
Im not starting until tomorrow

I'd also like to ask that everyone adds one element of self care that they don't usually have time for. I'm going to start using a specific cream for my eyes. Maybe by summer that will also show a difference?

I also did well on the Christmas thread and managed the 2 stone target. Managed 1st4lb up to Easter and struggled a bit over holidays and birthdays.

So - here I am again. I actually just really want to lose another stone now to get to my target but it's been a long year long journey to get to this point....

Start 01/04 - 68.5kg
Target - 60kg

Thanks @RedDoughnut for the new thread. Having been here for both the Christmas and Easter ones, I am signing into the summer one 4 stone lighter.

Back to work tomorrow so will weigh myself and post results tomorrow. Regular Monday weigh ins will start next week.

I will weigh in tomorrow, dreading it if I'm honest. Definitely the heaviest I've ever been. I need to lose for my health, minimum 2st, but 4-6 is doable!

5"2 and the heaviest I've ever been. I think it's hormonal as it's crept on and doesn't seem to be stopping!

Self care is going to be drinking more throughout the day so I don't end up with a headache and using moisturiser regularly.

My personal self care change is to get a good hydrating cream/serum/something and use it regularly. I use moisturiser regularly but have read recently that I should use something hydrating too. Any suggestions, please?

I'm hoping for at least a stone off by the end of this thread. I managed 9lbs on the last one so must try to improve on that.
My self care is exercise. It is something that I don't do as I just make excuses/ too lazy/ can't be bothered etc. I started today with a walk first thing and I'm planning on doing this every morning. For this week I'm walking from home for 10 minutes then back again. Next week I will add another 5 minutes and so on until I'm doing an hour a day. That would be a massive achievment for me if I manage it. No excuses. I live in a nice village so there are lovely walks from my doorstep.

I'll join please - I think I need some accountability (given that I don't seem to have got anywhere for years and keep 'starting on Monday/1st/etc').
I will weigh in tomorrow but I am about 70kg and want to get down to 55kg again at some point (my pre-kids weight). I reckon I will cut out about 1000cal a day minimum, if I just cut out the constant snacking on biscuits and chocolate throughout the day and evening (easier said than done) and quite a few more if I cut out the bag of crisps and packet (yes almost a whole packet) of chocolate digestives at lunchtime.

I’m following on from the Easter thread. I had lost 8kg from the end of January; and would like to lose another 13kg this thread.

I fell off the rails a bit yesterday and today! To be expected I suppose. Back to eating for health for me.

Hello! I'd like to join, please.

SW - 81kg.
TW - 70kg.. so just over 1.5 stone, I think.

I gained most of the weight during lockdown 😬 DH got through it by cooking, and we drank a lot of wine while talking about our many cancelled weddings... then I got pregnant and had DS, and I haven't really managed to lose any weight since. DS is 2 now, and we're coming to the end of breastfeeding, so I don't know if that'll have any effect.

I've been doing intermittent fasting for three weeks, but no results yet, so I might stop that and instead be really mindful of what I eat, increase my steps back to 10k a day, and try to drink more and fit the gym in a few times a week, and see how that goes...

Peri-meno and been non stop poorly with chest infections for weeks so had to stop exercising. Think I'm finally on the mend and want to start doing a little more this week and thinking about what I'm actually eating (instead of just eating whatever I want whenever I want!)
SW: 15.5 stone
TW: 13ish stone.
But mainly just to fit into some of my clothes again!
Self care- I will moisturise after every shower.

I would like to join if that's ok? Starting tomorrow as I'm currently eating an Easter egg though!
Started January at 13 stone 7, week before last was 12 stone 3 - now due on my period so up a few lb due to bloating though. Also been away last week so likely a bit extra from that too.
I'll weigh in the morning and start from there.
Ideally I want to be about 9 stone 7lb, but think I would be happy at 10 stone. Will aim for 2 stone for now then reassess.

Self care is adding movement to my day. After maternity leave I changed jobs to a desk job and definitely noticed the difference. I need to start moving more.
