If you have a bit more to lose and will be doing this for a while and want a nice supportive crowd to hang out with while you're at it this might be the thread for you.

April report: I actually lost quite a lot of weight in April, but sadly it was weight I put on earlier in April 😂On 1st April I was 86.6 and I'm currently 87.7, but after a week away with family I did go up to 89.1, so I think overall I'm happy with the apparent lack of progress here.

I've also gone down a size in trousers, and lost 3cm off my waist and 4 off my belly, so there are some non-scales wins at least.

I'm back on the wagon now, and hoping to smash some goals in May. I'm at 8.2% bodyweight loss, and I've got 2.3kg to go before I've lost 10kg, so I'm aiming for 10% bodyweight loss and 10kg overall weight loss during May!

(If I'm really good, I might get to my 'halfway goal' - halfway between starting weight and current goal weight, but that might be a bit of a stretch.)

Hi all!

I haven’t been on in a while. Just busy with work and life, and find this thread loads very slowly as it’s grown. Good to see everyone, and well done on all the great progress.

Anyway, I’m still here and still dieting. I’ve hit the 6st/38kg mark. Very pleased with 38kg in the 38 weeks since starting back in August. Being very impatient though and would love to fast forward and be in the maintenance stage, but I’ll get there.

Chouxpastryishard · 30/04/2024 18:51

Someone, please motivate me! I lost two pounds in a month then a holiday, family staying, going to visit someone and I’m back to the start plus some.
im just so depressed.
I just can’t find an approach that works! Need to pair four stone.

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 01/05/2024 17:04

@BusinessSecretsOfThePharaoh time for a new thread sometime this week I think

@Chouxpastryishard motivation is hard, for me it's about trying to find some reason I wanted to be slimmer - which for me was that I wasn't ready to feel as old as I did. I've dropped 6 stone now and really do feel a lot better for it. I can walk further & faster. Running upstairs to fetch something I've forgotten is not such a big deal. Take walks on holiday. Take part in activities.

Early weigh-in, but I am 12st 1lb and 1/2 today 😊 so I have finally reached my 3.5 stone loss 😀 and half a lb away from 50lbs lost 😀 now to keep moving down into the 11s 🙏

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 03/05/2024 14:47

That's so awesome @Bumblebeebum23 well done you, you've worked hard for every pound

Well done everyone on some fantastic losses and mini goals achieved 👏
Weigh in day for me today I lost a lb and a half.
SW 18st 9.5lb
CW 16st 6.5lb
Bad day today eating wise. Out at a show and I've ended up eating a lot of crap. Hopeful to get back on track tomorrow so only minimal damage is done. Hope everyone has a good week!

whatthejuice · 05/05/2024 06:41

Well done everyone on another week 💪🏼
I've weighed a day early as this next week coming up is really busy for me. I'm into the 16s now which was my goal for this week; a smidge over a 2lb loss this week 😍
I'm 3lbs off a 2 stone loss so would love to see that in the next couple of weeks.

SW 18st 10lbs
CW 16st 13lbs
GW 12st

FlabMonsterIsDietingAgain · 06/05/2024 07:18

Weekly weigh in

SW - 1st Jan - 225 lb (16 st 1 lb - BMI 34.2)
Loss this week - 1 lb
CW - 6th May - 193 lb (13 st 11 lb - BMI 29.3)

Total Loss - 32 lb (14% bodyweight)

Bumblebeebum23 · 06/05/2024 07:21

Still weighing in at 12st 1.5lbs today (same as Friday and just under 1.5lbs since last Monday.) Really hoping to move under 12st 1lb this week as it will mean I have lost over 50lbs and will move into the overweight category.

Scrabblingaround · 06/05/2024 15:39

My Monday weigh in-

Start weight 21st
Current weight 18st 0lb
Goal weight 11st
First target 17st

Lost 3lb this week
42lb total loss.

Bumblebeebum23 · 06/05/2024 18:37

Great loss @Scrabblingaround so close to the 17s now 😊 x

Scrabblingaround · 06/05/2024 19:01

So so close. I'm starting to find it harder though. Keeping my willpower is getting tough. I'm wondering about trying something different, but then wary of changing things when what I'm doing is working.

I've got as far as having a ten min Joe wicks workout open on my browser... I think actually doing it is next...

This is awesome! I dream of merely being overweight! You're so close. Well done.

Bumblebeebum23 · 06/05/2024 19:07

Thank you @Scrabblingaround it's been slow and steady, but I'm getting there 😊 Keep going. You're doing brilliantly 💪 xx

DuckWithOneWing · 06/05/2024 21:07

I've lost half a pound this week. I haven't had a good few days though - on Saturday I was far too tired and so ate everything in the house, and on Sunday I was out for most of the day so didn't eat much and then ate loads when I got back. I also didn't go for my planned run on Saturday.

Today I did week 5 run 1 of couch to 5k, and it was easier than I expected. Last week was hard, but today I felt I could run forever. It's only running for 5 minutes followed by some walking and repeated 3 times but I felt like a real runner!

positivevibesonlyx · 07/05/2024 13:27

You are all doing amazing, some fantastic losses here!!
Just started trying to lose weight today and would love to join you all 😅
My CW is 18 stone.
My first GW is 16 stone.
Overall I'd love to get down to 13 stone.

I'm just calorie counting and trying to up my water intake and steps!

mondaytosunday · 07/05/2024 13:44

I'm up this week - as mentioned before went away last week for three days for a birthday celebration and much food and alcohol consumed! I did swim fur 45 minutes a couple days, but you can't out swim a bad diet! Then it took a couple days after I got back to get on track again, so up 3.5lbs from last weigh in! Hopefully mainly water retention from eating so many carbs (pasta, cake, bread).

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 08/05/2024 08:38

Well done everyone, you're all doing so well. @mondaytosunday don't panic however amazing the birthday party you won't have eaten 25,000kcal too much if you're sensible the weight will bounce down again (almost) as quickly as it went on.

@positivevibesonlyx you're very welcome but as we're on page 40 I'm going to start a new thread hopefully you'll all find it and join it ok.
