If you have a bit more to lose and will be doing this for a while and want a nice supportive crowd to hang out with while you're at it this might be the thread for you.

Well done, everyone 😊 I don't officially weigh in until Monday, but I feel like I have got my mojo back this week, so fingers crossed for a loss.

I had a huge sort out of my wardrobe yesterday and got rid of anything that was either too big, or past it's best, or outdated. Plus a whole load of tiny dresses that I have been desperately holding onto for about 10 years but that in reality I won't wear again (even if I manage to get back to a size 10!). The whole process was very cathartic and I'm looking forward to treating myself to some new clothes 😊

Hi everyone,

SW: 18st10lbs
CW: 17st3.5lbs
GW: 12st

A week since my last weigh-in and I've dropped 3.5 lbs. A bigger loss than the last couple of weeks which is a nice little boost. Half a pound off a 1 and a half stone loss and getting closer to being in the 16s again - I'll hopefully get there in a couple of weeks.
Have a good week all!

FlabMonsterIsDietingAgain · 22/04/2024 06:37

Weekly weigh in:

SW - 1st Jan - 225 lb (16 st 1 lb - BMI 34.2)
Loss this week - 3 lb
CW - 22nd Apr - 195 lb (13 st 13 lb - BMI 2.6)

Total Loss - 30 lb (13% bodyweight)

Bumblebeebum23 · 22/04/2024 07:37

Well done, everyone 😊 👏

Monday weigh-in 12st 3lbs and a 1/4 so just under 2lbs lost this week.

Really hoping I can get to 12st 2lb by next Monday and reach my 3.5stone loss 🤞

mondaytosunday · 22/04/2024 09:16

Good losses people! I haven't lost any since last checked in. Went up a kilo overnight after a pasta dinner and dessert put me at maintenance calories and I've just got it back down. So this week lost only a pound and a half, though I lost over ten pounds first week. One week til my girlie birthday trip so ideally lose 3kg by then but highly unlikely! Have upped my walking but need to do more.
Hope everyone keeps the motivation going!
By the way I recommend HalfofCarla on YouTube - very sensible down to earth advise and what she's learned during her journey to lose more than half her body weight.

Scrabblingaround · 22/04/2024 11:55

Fully back on the wagon this past week.

Start weight 21st
Current weight 18st 5lb
Goal weight 11st
First target 17st

Lost 3lb this week
37lb total loss.

Tantalisingly close to getting under 40bmi, and into the 17s...

Morred · 22/04/2024 12:59

Well done everyone! I got back on the wagon last week after an Easter holiday with family where I put on a bit.

SW (Jan 2024): 95.5kg
Loss this week: 0.6kg
CW (22 April): 87.5kg
GW (?): 75kg

Have a great week - we can do it!

DuckWithOneWing · 23/04/2024 10:42

Hi everyone! Can I join? I've been losing weight for a while but still have loads to go. My highest weight was 22st10lbs, and now I'm around 16st. I've been doing it by calorie counting. I have limited use of my left arm due to a disability, but I've recently started running (couch to 5k) and Zumba which I love.

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 23/04/2024 22:02

wow great progress @DuckWithOneWing you've come such a long way! Of course you can join, it looks like we'll be due for a new thread pretty soon

DuckWithOneWing · 24/04/2024 17:17

Thanks @stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk I sneaked in just before the end of the thread! I've joined about 3 months late, so have got about 9 weeks left. I think I'll aim to lose 2 stone in that time, although that might be too ambitious. It's about 3lbs a week. Even if I don't make it I'll be nearer to my goal!

Morred · 24/04/2024 20:46

Welcome @DuckWithOneWing ! Most of us aren’t doing a strict 26 weeks - we’re mainly trying to lose a big chunk of weight over a reasonably long time (rather than ‘just’ trimming up or aiming for drastic changes in a month, for example) so I’m sure you’ll fit right in.

I'll definitely be going a lot longer than the next 9 weeks 🤣 welcome!! X

DuckWithOneWing · 25/04/2024 10:31

Oh it will definitely take longer than 9 weeks for me to lose weight, but I'm happy setting goals so I know what I'm aiming for.

Gabriella83 · 27/04/2024 08:56

Hope everyone is having a good week. I lost a lb this week.
SW 18st 9.5lb
CW 16st 8lb
Slightly disappointed as during the week I'd been 16st 7lb but my period arrived and decided I would not be losing 2lb this week. Family wedding in a month so the aim is to get into the 15s by then.

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 28/04/2024 14:47

Well done @Gabriella83

whatthejuice · 29/04/2024 07:13

Well done to everyone for another week 💪🏼
I lost 2.5lbs this week which makes me very happy! Would love to get in the 16 stone something bracket next week!

SW 18 stone 10lbs
CW 17 stone 1lb
GW 12 stone

Bumblebeebum23 · 29/04/2024 07:36

Well done everyone 😊 some great losses

I am 12st 2lb & 7/8 so a tiny smidge under the 12st 3lb & 1/4 I was last Monday but up on midweek. However, the numbers are so slight that, essentially, I'm going to say that this week I have stayed the same!

However, I have survived two birthday parties without a major gain, so I am not beating myself up. Here's to another week of attempting to reach my 3.5 stone loss!! 🥴

Hope everyone has a great week x

mondaytosunday · 29/04/2024 08:55

This thread is more similar to my goals - the other thread I'm on most people's starting weight is less than my goal weight (12ish stone or 80kg).
Not a great loss this week despite being under calorie allowance every day. But overall 15.4lb/7kg loss in three weeks (that first week it fell off). I have a day to lose 1.6kg to reach my end of April goal which ain't gonna happen! Then away for three days to celebrate a friend's birthday and I'll be eating and drinking... it's an Airbnb and nine of us and they are planning full English breakfasts and one night I'll be cooking my world famous heart attack on a plate lasagna. So if I weigh in next Monday without a gain that will be a win! Then under eight weeks before Spanish holiday so I'll be laser focused. I'm toying with Fast 800 but have type 1 diabetes so not recommended.

DuckWithOneWing · 29/04/2024 09:32

Well done everyone on the losses! I've lost 1kg this week, which is about 2lbs so I'm happy. I was hoping for more as I did my first ever Parkrun on Saturday, but then Saturday evening I went out for a meal so can see why it wasn't.

Welcome @mondaytosunday I found that about other threads too! 15lbs is a great loss, well done.

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 29/04/2024 10:04

ok Monday morning check in

I haven't been having a good month
current weight 112.9 Kg
total loss in the last 8 weeks 3kg

Food has always been one of my go to coping mechanism for stress, and I have been very stressed. I've started to do a little better since I've realised what the problem is and that being stressed about not losing weight wasn't helping. So at the risk of sounding like I'm being too easy on myself

I've been really stressed and still mostly managed to stay under maintenance calories so yay go me.

Well done @stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk it's keeping going through the harder times that leads to success in the end. You're doing really well.

My Monday weigh in-

Start weight 21st
Current weight 18st 3lb
Goal weight 11st
First target 17st

Lost 2lb this week
39lb total loss.

I now have a bmi of 39.9! Under 40bmi is a nice nsv.

Bumblebeebum23 · 29/04/2024 13:23

Sorry to hear you've been having a stressful time @stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk and well done for keeping at it. You have done so well. Be kind to yourself, you've got this 😘 xx

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 29/04/2024 14:46

Sorry to hear things have been stressful @stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk . That would have been a great excuse to give up entirely, so yay you for carrying on at all!

Are there specific comfort foods you want when you're stressed? I have had some success in training myself to choose different 'treat' foods (so some tinned mandarin oranges instead of chocolate - still very sweet, but fewer calories and less binge-able).

I don't know if this would work with 'comfort' foods (sometimes you do just need a big bowl of macaroni cheese 😁).
