Oh my gosh I was just about to post the exact same thing.
Sick of feeling this tired and heavy, want rid of all of it! Let’s go!
I love lifting weights and walking, but I also love chocolate and sitting on my arse, apparently you can’t do both and lose weight.

I'm in! I did really well thanks to motivation on a thread last year but have recently gone downhill thanks to a lot of comfort eating Grin. I have a stone to lose and plan to get back to calorie counting and daily yoga sessions (loved yoga but lost motivation after a virus last autumn).

Me. Currently struggling with post-Covid fatigue (3 months and counting) and the pull of chocolate, crisps and cheese is sooooo strong. Need to shift about 10kg. I know what I need to do, though it will be tougher than usual due to the fatigue and perimenopause. Bring it on!

I’m thinking eggs for breakfast, protein smoothie for lunch, standard whatever family dinner.
I keep seeing things that say stop cutting calories to 1200, it’s a terrible diet, so I’m going to try and change to building in good habits I guess?!

May I join please? Have put on weight since getting anaemia (Hb 77h and on iron tablets so exercise was tough but I also turned to my best friends chocolate and pudding 😔

would love to lose 20kg by end of this year 🤞🏽 need accountability and this thread sounds just the thing! 💪🏾

I decided this on Monday, I've calorie counted all week, no bread or cheese, no chocolates or cookies (used to do half a pack of Maryland in a oner) and no booze. I'm sticking with it, I don't weigh myself but I've a pair of jeans that I want to get back into comfortably so will measure myself against those!

@moggerhanger did you get referred to the post covid clinic? I had covid in early January and 5 weeks later still felt awful. The clinic told me what supplements to take and I felt amazing on them! So much so I’m adding them back in, fatigue came back as soon as I stopped taking them.
Magnesium, folic acid, vitamin D. Miracles!

This is about where I'm at (although that extra 3 stone for me is the tip of the iceberg in terms of what I need to lose).

Covid lockdowns were not kind to my waistline. I've also taken a new very stressful job and spend my life rushing around with zero time to think about healthy food, much less prepare it. And exercise is a distant memory...

@MooPointCowsOpinion No, I don't think there are any here. I was told to rest, eat a decent diet, avoid alcohol, get fresh air and go back if things didn't improve over the next three months. Bloods all fine, no heart or sats issues.

@moggerhanger I’d start taking them for two weeks and see if they help, I don’t think bloods check for folic acid or magnesium, the long covid clinic didn’t even bother checking mine they said just start them immediately. I think they’ve seen so much post viral fatigue they can make a pretty safe bet!

Yoga fans, I used to do yoga but I’m much bigger now and I think even a downward dog would be hard on my arms right now! Is there yoga adaptations for bigger women?

Yes please, I'm in if you'll have me. I have done well before with a focus on protein and cut out the booze with HIIT most days - so know what to do, just got to do it.
I think I've got 3 stone to lose too but will weigh tomorrow morning

My downfall is carbs. I never met one I didn't like, and bread especially is a big part of my diet. Plus it's quick and easy to make toast, sarnies etc. Any ideas on what I could do instead?
