Starting tomorrow, I need to lose roughly three stone, and generally sort myself out.

I am a mess 😀

I'm in too but measuring in inches rather than weight. My stomach is 36" and I'm trying IF as a first step and trying to cut down on the constant snacks.

moggerhanger · 03/04/2022 07:57

Starting weight 77.1kg - not good for me as I'm a classic apple shape, with slender legs. My strategy is going to be to avoid unnecessary snacks, drink more water, chocolate and crisps once a week only, and replace carbs with veg at mealtimes. (I love veg so that's no hardship.) Let's see if it works.

Morning all 👋 daily accountability post here

CW : 10 st 3
Exercise today : 10km run
Breakfast : banana and almonds
Lunch : omelette with chorizo, spinach, mushrooms and cheddar
Dinner : homemade lamb curry with roasted cauliflower
Snacks : apple, grapes, protein smoothie with almond milk and frozen berries, 10 pecan halves with tablespoon of coconut shavings

I track on MFP and try to keep to 1300 - 1400 per day. Allowing one cheat meal per week as have a few social dinners coming up. No alcohol. Downloaded a quit sugar app, am now on day 2...working towards 100 days of no chocolate, seeing the number going up motivates me. I am a terrible sugar/chocolate binger and it seems to get out of control very easily and makes me feel crap. I've quit sugar before and know I feel so much better without it. Will be tough this month with all the Easter eggs in the house!! Training for a half marathon so I exercise a lot but as they say you can't out-train a bad diet so not seeing much results from it which seems like a total waste of time 🙄. Whenever I have lost weight in the past it's been planning, tracking and batch cooking that have been the keys I think. Good luck everyone today, weekends can be tricky! What's everyone planning on eating? X

LittleZombie · 03/04/2022 08:12

Starting weight 14st 8lb.

Midgetwithaplan · 03/04/2022 08:12

I'm in, if that's OK. Just weighed in at 12st7, and need to be 10st7 to be a healthy BMI, and 9st7 to feel properly comfortable. Unfortunately work commitments (NHS) mean v limited time for exercise, but I know if I just stop eating crisps, cakes, donuts, chocolate, takeaways etc the first stone should be OK.
I go on holiday in 5 weeks, so I have a short term goal of eating as well as I can until then to see if a stone will come off, as well as walking in the evenings to get to 10k steps now the evenings are a bit lighter (I struggle with high intensity exercise in the evenings as it affects my sleep)
Will be making a trip to Morrisons shortly to fill up the fridge

CaptainCallisto · 03/04/2022 09:10

Weighed myself this morning. 17st bang on. Top end of my healthy weight range on BMI is 12st7lbs so I've got a lot of work to do! I've managed to maintain at 14st before so I'm going to aim for that (though not all at once) and see how I go.

I'm off to the supermarket this morning, and I've done a meal plan based mostly on my slowcooker. My downfall is not having the energy to cook after work, so I'm hoping that I can get into a good habit of doing the prep the night before when the kids are in bed and just switching the sc on in the morning. Fingers crossed that leads to fewer quick, crappy, oven tray meals!

Happymama24 · 03/04/2022 09:14

I just posted but it's not showing up so apologies if there is a duplicate post!

Morning everyone,
Weighed myself this morning and I am so ashamed of how much weight I have gained.
I am now just less than 100kg(99.8kg), a healthy weight for me is 74kg!!!
I have a long way to go.
It's so strange because I look at myself and know I am overweight and unhealthy but because I am fairly active I didn't realize how much my weight had crept upBlush
This morning for breakfast I wanted to use up a lot of veg in the fridge, so sauteed them in a little olive oil and topped with 2 scrambled eggs. Very tasty!
I will keep checking in to keep me accountable during the day.

Anyone up for sorting their shit out
whoturnedthesunoff · 03/04/2022 09:15

I have weighed and logged
Had scrambled egg and one toast previously it would have been 3

Busy day ahead so will try to keep away from convenience

Good luck everyone !

chalkyc2 · 03/04/2022 09:22

Oh just seen this and I am with you!

I need to lose about 35kg. Preferably before next March when I am 50. I went on the 'fast 800' plan last Feb and lost 30kg. Great....but the rapid weight loss and relatively high fat managed to give me gallstones! So I have managed to put on 10kg again with the gallstone associated rubbish and have just had my gallbladder out, and am back starting out again.

So I need low fat low sugar good nourishing food. Im so fed up of being the fat friend, the fat person at work who is certainly not taken as seriously as slimmer colleagues. It's humiliating and it's the main part of my life that is totally out of kilter with who I am. There's no reason for me to be so overweight.

So I'm here and I'm up for it!

Perime · 03/04/2022 09:28

I'm in - will weigh myself in a bit. I have neck issues but am peri-menopausal so need to do some weights. Any ideas? Also, I struggle with breakfasts? Any ideas?

Thistimealoserisagoodthing · 03/04/2022 09:31

Morning, I am in !
I have 4 stone to lose and it is painful. I am so sick of carrying this around but I also snack when fed up so have got myself in a horrible cycle.

Would be great to have support.

fizzyfood · 03/04/2022 09:35

Hi, I'm in. Just been on the scales and hit 15 stone, heaviest I've ever been! Wouldn't disclose that weight to anyone in real life.

I'm going to try three meals a day and fruit for a snack and 2 rich tea biscuits in the evening while watching TV. I've just got some new sketchers as all My other shoes hurt so I've got no excuse not to start walking again.

Good luck every one.

derob · 03/04/2022 09:51

I'm in. Need to lose 2 stone, ideally 3. Chronic fatigue plus menopause are making it hard. Grateful for this thread and the much needed accountability

Losingtwostone · 03/04/2022 10:05

Morning! I’m in and really hope this thread helps to motivate me! I need some community! Will weigh in a bit but have put on about two stone in last two years and HATE HOW I FEEL Sad

Wowcherarestalkingme · 03/04/2022 10:15

Morning everyone. Weighed in this morning at 13 stone 12lbs. Going to log all my calories on my Fitbit app to keep me on track and try and get my steps above 5k which I find hard at the weekends. Good luck everyone!

MrsCooper2 · 03/04/2022 10:19

@CaptainCallisto I could have written your post. I'm 16st 13lbs and a few years ago got down to 14st. I'm just about to measure myself and then I'm going food shopping. Never have enough time to cook every day so am hoping to batch cook instead.

Losingtwostone · 03/04/2022 10:33

Just weighed am 11 st 3, how did that happen??! Healthy weight would be 9 st 7, feel good weight 9 stone.

My plan

IF
No junk or too many carbs
Yoga everyday (some days might only be 15 mins tho)
Run three days for 30 mins

Good luck everyone Smile

LndnGrl · 03/04/2022 10:34

@MooPointCowsOpinion

Oh my gosh I was just about to post the exact same thing. Sick of feeling this tired and heavy, want rid of all of it! Let’s go! I love lifting weights and walking, but I also love chocolate and sitting on my arse, apparently you can’t do both and lose weight.
Are you me?!

I moved my cross trainer into the front room yesterday in an attempt to start using it.

OddSocksSparklyDocsandDungaree · 03/04/2022 10:41

Meeee!

I have a 13 month old daughter and I've put on so much weight since having her.

LndnGrl · 03/04/2022 10:49

I'm shocked, I've got 4st to lose and I thought it was 3.
13st 6 and I want to get to 9st 7.

I do a bootcamp weights class 3x a week (Mon, wed, fri), swim x1 (thurs) and I was doing c25k but I'm not loving it so am going to do it on my cross trainer instead (Tues, Thurs, Sat) while aiming to build up to 10k steps a day on it, and have Sundays off. Oh and a boxing cardio youtube video with my friend on Saturdays. And I might go walking with my other friend on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.

Was1969 · 03/04/2022 10:55

So I've weighed in and I'm even heavier than I thought. I need to lose 5st not 4st 😭. However, with the support of this group I know I can do it. I've gone onto the NHS app to get my calorie target which they've put me at 1796. I'm going to be sensible and have three meals a day and try to up my protein intake. I'm very unfit so will start with a 20 minute walk per day and I'll increase this as I get fitter and add in some weights. Good luck everyone, we can do this 😊

Garfieldismyspiritanimal · 03/04/2022 11:00

Am I join in please? I need to lose 2 stone (well, really I need to lose four but to be realistic I am starting with two). I have chronic pain and it’s hard to exercise. And I eat a lot of crap.

1stone off would make me so much more comfortable.

Going to go for IF, eating window 12-8

Protein first

No bread.

For two weeks. Then see how I am doing.

OstrichFeathers · 03/04/2022 11:12

OK, decent start to the day. I got the dog out for a walk and while I was supposed to run bits of it, that didn't really work but at least I was up and out in the fresh air. I did a core work out when I got home to make up for it. I really need to tone up as well as lose weight. Going to hoover the car now then a long shower. Dd has a match this afternoon that's half the county away so I'm bringing some of the team which means another 3 hours out of the house with only a coffee to consume! I did promise she could pick dinner after though, so we might end up at KFC.Blush

TeddyGirl1982 · 03/04/2022 11:19

I'm in!
I have one stone to lose & am currently doing reform pilates, yoga and swimming once a week, plus an hour of badminton and one PT session a week. Whist I'm toned and strong I have a belly and feel large round the middle. I'm now tracking my calories on My Fitness Pal on the advice of my PT at 1800 calories a day, to find my 'maintenance weight '. He says once we establish my maintenance weight we can cut down so I may he able to lose weight slowly and effectively on 1650 calories a day which is really quite generous.
I'm finding that since hitting menopause weight is incredibly hard to lose. Hoping to find inspiration and advice on here.

Sunnierdays · 03/04/2022 11:21

I have put on over a stone !! The low carb diet is the way to go, I know loads of people who have lost a lot of weight on it pretty fast !! I do get terrible sugar cravings too though Sad
