When I went carb free I lost a bit but it just came back on as soon as I ate carbs again, I can’t do a whole life without carbs, but I can replace half with extra protein and fats I think? Protein smoothies are really nice!
I did the 5:2 before my wedding and it worked really well. Also did the fast 800 for a month, also worked, but I was SO grumpy!!
Feel like I need someone to just be in charge, like a personal trainer, but who has the money for that!!

I definitely need to sort my shit out!
Went from a size 8 to size 14 after starting some new meds. I haven't dared step onto a scale to weigh myself, I think I'll do that tomorrow.
My problem is that I have no self control and no energy so junk food is just easier

@moggerhanger, are you me?? I'm really struggling with post covid and general life being too busy. I've also got a busted shoulder which means I can't do any weight training or swimming which are my favourite ways to exercise. Getting a handle on calories in is my major issue. I've started running a couple of times a week with my friend and we're planning to get back up to 7-10k by July but I know that's not enough to keep my weight in check. And I need dh to stop bringing home share bags of crisps when I have no will power!

Hiya :) I am in too - we are moving and changing life after a whole lockdown+ stuck in this place which looks beautiful but it's SO not us - I want to get back to active me and this thread may just be what I need :)

My plan is to cut out all the crap and eat sensibly. I have a bar of galaxy salted caramel for my last supper later.

I will weigh myself in the morning and take it from there.

I stood on scales this morning, I weigh 15.4. I feel crap about it but I too have a holiday booked for the next time the kids are off school so there's a little aim for me to drop a stone minimum!

@OstrichFeathers holy poo, we're parallel! I have a frozen shoulder, plus a mystery painful knee (the former has been going on months, the latter is recent). I love running and walking, but can't do either currently! Hard to believe that I managed a 100km ultra 8 months ago.

Shall we try to post to the thread every day with what we achieved? Non-scale victories like completed a work out, hit protein goal, reduced screen time, walked for an hour etc and also inches lost/lbs lost if you want to share those too?
I’d be really interested in knowing about how to stop sagging skin after weight loss too, if I manage to lose 3 stone I’d like to have happy skin at the end too!

Wow, we really are! My shoulder is bursitis, just about avoided a frozen shoulder. After 18 months of physio getting limited results I had two steriod injections three weeks ago so I'm working to rehab it now it's less painful. How are you managing yours? (And in another similarity, I have a gammy hip!) I have and never would be able to contemplate an ultra marathon though. That's hard core.

I'm up for that. If people are comfortable to do so, maybe we could also share wobbles, errors, negative thoughts, unhelpful triggers etc. Like, I know I eat when I'm bored! So I know I need to find something that will distract me from wanting to dive into the Cathedral City.

Love that idea, moggerhanger. At the moment, it's exhaustion for me. I'm as tired as I was when I had newborns, but my youngest is 10! I go straight for the sugar when I'm like this. I'm trying to improve my sleep but I need a very exact 7.5 hours or I'm like an overtired toddler and can't function or sleep the next day. And I'm having really bad stress dreams at the moment which screw up what sleep I do get. Overall, I'm crocked BlushGrin

Shit @OstrichFeathers we really are twins! I have spent most of this afternoon asleep. I also have stress dreams, which along with the shoulder disrupt my sleep. I'm 48 but feel about 90!

I've lost 2 stone since the beginning of the year but the last three weeks have seen me slipping back into old habits (succumbing to work and child stress!) so I've put a couple of pounds back on. I still have three stone to lose though! I also know I will kick myself a few months down the line if I don't keep this up.

Yes please. I was waiting to move House which has now happened was was doing a 2 x 1.5 hour commute daily and now zero so can have 3 hours of my life back plus now live walking distance from supermarkets so should be able to meal plan as well as walk and exercise more.

I just took delivery of the meal prep king book and about to see what batch cooking healthy meals for the week looks like.
