Starting tomorrow, I need to lose roughly three stone, and generally sort myself out.

I am a mess 😀

Mine has certainly derailed the last few days and I'm trying to stop it heading off down the cliff @CaptainCallisto but there's also a lot of feeling rather fed up of having to think about it, what I'm going to eat, is there enough protein etc.

MooPointCowsOpinion · 10/05/2022 18:50

Another one here wobbling on the edge, feel like I’ve done 5 weeks of really good work and for just 3lbs off, and 1 of those has come back on!!
This is so frustrating. I’m doing a fast day tomorrow to try and kick start another pound or two loss!

Wowcherarestalkingme · 10/05/2022 21:01

I’m still here. We went camping this weekend and I was a bit worried but I’ve come back having not gained. I’m not focused though and really need to get my head back in the game. I have no summer clothes that fit so unless I plan to spend this summer in leggings and jumpers then I need to sort my life out

Harrysmummy246 · 11/05/2022 18:56

@MooPointCowsOpinion That's a very sustainable rate, don't do anything extreme. Just keep going

MooPointCowsOpinion · 16/05/2022 07:52

Morning!
How is everyone getting on?
Not much weight loss still here… so annoying! When we started I had 8 weeks until my holiday and thought I could lose a stone. I have lost 3lbs with 2 weeks left to go.
I was missing the gym though so I decided to just go back and just face the consequences if it does slow my weight loss down because it’s slow anyway and I much prefer the routine of weight work outs.
What do you do about breakfast and is your weight coming off fast or slow?

Harrysmummy246 · 16/05/2022 16:11

I eat breakfast because I always have, don't feel great without and I'm hungry anyway by 10am coffee/ protein bar anyway.

My weight loss has stalled at average 4kg as I keep getting fed up with counting so stopping for a few days so 1kg goes back on then I lose it again.

I ran the local charity 10km yesterday. That was rather more 'undulating' than I anticipated. OUCH>

Currently in a bad mood as machine garage use in MOT broke down in the middle of doing mine so they're keeping my car til tomorrow. So I can't work. And DS is very sad as he was going to come on the train with me to collect it. End of the world as a 4yo knows it.

Back on track with food today.

MooPointCowsOpinion · 16/05/2022 21:51

Today I ate: omelette for breakfast, cream cheese on toast for lunch, ham wrap as pre-gym snack and then stir fry for dinner after the gym. I did an hour at the gym, 600 calories burnt of pure weight lifting! I’ve eaten about 300 of those back just because I had the pre-workout snack, I hope I won’t pay too much for eating a bit extra…!

Harrysmummy246 · 17/05/2022 10:42

Be careful with how many calories it estimates you burn. It's been shown that they're wildly inaccurate and general advice is don't eat them back, partly for that reason.
I ended up having a hot chocolate yesterday evening which put me well over the calorie range I'm now aiming for but got my protein to the amount I'm aiming for.

I'm not at work as I don't have my car (lots and lots of stress there) but am attempting to learn to draw with perspective to show owner of garden I work in what I think we should do in an area. I'm about to do my strength training if I can not let the dogs 'help' too much

Lunch will be a big salad + protein. Dinner is likely to be pasta carbonara which isn't ideal but by the time we're done messing about getting my car, it's about the quickest thing I can produce and get DS to bed

I should be tidying my desk and mowing the lawn with my unscheduled day 'off'

Another week coming to an end! I had one big workout and lots of really active days, one takeaway, and lost 3lbs.
Best week so far! I feel pretty good, I definitely feel better when I don’t eat meat or sugar.

AlwaysAWoman · 23/05/2022 21:35

Hi everyone, can I join please! I have about 4 stone to lose- I had done quite well a couple months ago and lost nearly a stone and started exercising but unfortunately have let this slip due to work stress and kids! Have put it back on and more probably.

Sick of feeling so crap. Really need to sort this

TalkToTheHand123 · 24/05/2022 10:06

Binged on sausages and chicken burgers last night so I was expecting a gain but have lost 1/4 of a stone / 5kg it seems.

The loss seems to be due to cutting out brown bread and doing a few stretches. I sit down for periods of time and enjoy a good stretch to sort me out ☺️

(so nearly 2 stone loss in about 6 months from 16 and a half stone to nearly 14 and a half).

CaptainCallisto · 25/05/2022 07:48

Well done @TalkToTheHand123 - that's great!

I'm getting back on track after my big wobble, and have now lost 8lbs overall. I've started daily weigh ins rather than weekly, and have noticed that my weight is all over the place through the week! I weigh first thing every morning (after I've been to the loo) but over the last seven days I've been up and down by about 5lbs day-to-day! It must be water I think, but it's making it very difficult to keep track!

TalkToTheHand123 · 25/05/2022 09:00

Aww. I try to avoid weighing myself regularly for the same reason.

That's the argument for doing it, but only noting the trend e.g. month to month etc

end of another week!
welcome @AlwaysAWoman :)
i managed two huge workouts this week, plus lots of active days. I didn’t check in last week as I was on holiday but I walked over 20k steps a day, didn’t really watch what I ate and came back having gained nothing which was good. Maintained this week, which seems fair considering big workouts make me so hungry!
This next week I’ve planned all my meals in advance and it doesn’t include snacking on the cookies in the staff room at work… let’s see how that goes!
