Hi, here is a new thread, Excuse the ultra unoriginal title. Weighed in at 9st0.5, this morning, aim (as it has been for every month since March) is to get under 9st. Cannot believe we are in the second half of this year.

I'm 10st this morning! Guessing perfect combo of being mid cycle and going to the loo before weighing Grin

Have quite a foody weekend but hoping to maintain the 10st this week 🤞

Heygirlheyboy · 03/07/2020 10:02

Well done Hangover! I am down a pound since Monday, very pleased. I have fitted in 3x5k walks but need to increase that again.
Fruit and Greek yoghurt
Omelette and salad
First meal out in almost 4months, dying to get into my new dress!

HoneysuckIejasmine · 03/07/2020 10:41

Ate far too much BBQ yesterday. Envy

B mushroom omelette, toast and peanut butter
L salad and cup a soup
D sausage pasta bake with roast cabbage and broccoli

Aiming for a maintain this week after yesterday. Still it was delicious and well worth it.

Well done Hangover!

MonsteraCheeseplant · 03/07/2020 10:48

Yay congratulations @Hangoverstruggles!

Heygirlheyboy · 03/07/2020 14:12

Tomato and avocado a lovely omelette combination and I don't need cheese this way. Happy Friday all!

Well done Hangover. Those protein yoghurts from Lidl sound good. Weighed 9st1.25 this morning. Very tired at the moment and realise that I haven't been eating healthily at all, so will try to improve on that over the next few weeks. Heygirl that omlette looks good, wish I liked eggs.

OP posts:
Heygirlheyboy · 03/07/2020 18:43

I didn't either but acquired a taste with determination! Yes I'm going to get some protein yoghurt too.

MonsteraCheeseplant · 03/07/2020 21:51

B: Yoghurt and honey on toast
L: Chicken Soup
D: Mushroom stroganoff with pearl barley instead of rice
S: Kinder bueno finger, fibre one cake bar, berries and light squirty cream, jam doughnut

Igglepigglesgrubbyblanket · 03/07/2020 22:48

Well done hangover!
Honeysuckle, your dinner sounds delicious.

I've done badly again today. A friend came round to do some cooking with my daughter and it derailed me
B. Bacon, tomatoes, 1 slice toast
L. Cheese, salad & pickle sandwich
D. 2 mini cheese scones, 1 choc raspberry brownie (both homemade). Chicken shish, 4 g & diet t's
Seemed rude not to, but there's loads of things coming up like this in the next few days. Picnic tomorrow, I'll do loads of fruit & veg and some Quorn eggs to try keep it down. BBQ I'll drink no alcohol beer, that's my plan. Let's see how I do.

TheHoneyBadger · 04/07/2020 07:42

Morning. Managed to do extended fast so haven’t eaten since late Thursday night. I haven’t done one of these for a while so have been taking it really easy activity wise.

Scales are down obviously but some of that will come back on. Going to extend it as far as is comfortable today as I’m conscious my period is due in 5 days so this is when things went haywire in the last couple of months.

Well done hangover and well done iggle-that was pretty restrained considering

MonsteraCheeseplant · 04/07/2020 09:05

Good morning all. Good luck with the challenges that weekends and relaxing of rules is bringing. We've got a practically a whole month of celebratory meals for my DH milestone birthday which is a little worrisome. It was supposed to be one big lovely party which was obviously cancelled and now we're having lots of smaller meals as celebrations.

I weighed in a 9.13 today, never expected to see the 9s. Have been trying to increase my calorie intake gradually but have fast forwarded a bit and will try to keep to 1400 this week.

TheHoneyBadger · 04/07/2020 09:34

That’s great monstera. Hopefully it means you can gradually work up to a relatively generous calorie allowance. Or I guess an alternative would be restrict a bit more than necessary in the week so you can be relaxed and enjoy treats at the weekend?

MonsteraCheeseplant · 04/07/2020 09:57

I'm in such a habit of keeping my weekday meals relatively low calorie that increasing them is not coming easily - too much maths! So i'm just snacking more. Your idea of continuing so I can relax at the weekend is definitely the way to go. Ordinarily DH and I have take away/eat out a lot on weekends. Right now he's still trying to lose weight so isn't so keen though. Bit harsh to get myself a fish and chips and leave him for home cooked, low cal. Grin

TheHoneyBadger · 04/07/2020 11:09

Ds has no such qualms and has just eaten my last mars ice cream in front of me when I’m fasting Grin

MonsteraCheeseplant · 04/07/2020 11:12

Your last mars ice cream? Wow. That's tantamount to a declaration of war in my house

TheHoneyBadger · 04/07/2020 14:28

Tbf he found the box with the remaining one in that I’d hidden at the back of the freezer and realised I must have eaten the other three Grin

RaraRachael · 04/07/2020 15:30

I am going to have to take drastic measures I'm afraid. I am fed up slobbing around in old t-shirts during lockdown so I thought I'd put on a nice Fatface top I haven't worn since last summer. I could barely breathe in it so as soon as I got home, it was back to the old t-shirt.

i have found in the past that the only way I can lose weight successfully is to have a spreadhseet and note down everything I eat.

So fingers crossed it will work for me.

Heygirlheyboy · 04/07/2020 16:46

B: scrambled eggs with peppers, tomatoes and avocado. Kiwi on side
L: wholewheat wrap with chicken, mayo and peppers
D: mushroom soup (as I am going to a friend later and no doubt there will be food)
S: Ferrero rocher and biscuit - ILs called with mountains of sugar so I'm pretty pleased I stopped at that!! Send strength please!!

MonsteraCheeseplant · 04/07/2020 17:39

@Heygirlheyboy I'm afraid I have no strength to send you. A bakery just opened up the road from me. In a pandemic. Its important to support local business, right? We bought 4 brownies. It wasn't a fair fight, they put cookie dough, Ferrero Rocher and Kinder Buenos in them. We didn't stand a chance. I'm going to freeze as much as I can force myself to and hope for the best. We're having take out today too. Something new, rice and meat and Bao buns whatever those actually are. I have 900 calories left for all of this but it's blooming impossible to guesstimate.

Heygirlheyboy · 04/07/2020 18:22

900 great at least!! I have stayed strong and actually won't bother with mushroom soup and eat savoury only at friend's and ill be OK. Early walk planned in the AM.
PS those brownies sound absolutely a-mazing!!!

Igglepigglesgrubbyblanket · 04/07/2020 19:22

😭 for your mars bar @TheHoneyBadger
@Heygirlheyboy other people's generosity is weirdly hard to resist. When I was at WW years ago they advised us to just say we couldn't take it and failing that, eat and log a small amount of it and tip the rest in the bin.
Today's food
B. Porridge, berries almonds coffee 220
L. Beef and squash patty, nectarine, Snickers bar 700
D. Salmon, peas, homemade oven chips, half a tub of halo top 640

Octopus37 · 04/07/2020 20:48

Eating the last Mars Bar is just the sort of thing my teenage Son would do. Monstera,, that bakery sounds fantastic, love different types of brownies. Eaten quite a lot here today, just had a pitta bread with chips and salad and humus. Quite a busy day though, need to get in the right frame of mind to increase my efforts as have been at a stale mate for so long now. Saying that, I'm off to the pub on Monday night for drinks and a meal so will aim for a goodish day tomorrow.

Morning all. Extended fast went well. Broke it last night at 8 with my protein packed soaked oats.

I’m allegedly down just under 5lbs. How much of that comes back depends on how well I manage my return to food. I’m 14st4.8.

Only 4 days till af so hopefully this fast has been a way of avoiding the upswing I always get pre period.

In case anyone worries I rarely do a 2 day fast and hadn’t done a proper fast in ages. Not advisable for everyone and especially not if you’re not used to fasting or don’t have substantial fat to use as fuel or you will lose more muscle than fat. I lost nearly a pound of muscle and 4lbs f fat including a pound of visceral fat if fancy new scales are to be believed.

TheHoneyBadger · 05/07/2020 06:33

The only thing I rate as excellent for on my scales is bone mass Grin Hopefully not going to be in the hip replacement club.

Octopus37 · 05/07/2020 08:57

Wow well done HoneyBadger, I'm up to 9st2 this morning, but ok with that cause I know its a fluctuation.
