Hello my lovely losers and welcome to the April edition of lose 7lbs/3kg per month!

Onceuponatimethen · 03/04/2020 08:05

@MsTSwift wow - that’s a very impressive result! I will google Turbo

MsTSwift · 03/04/2020 08:24

Had to buy all new trousers though my ones from autumn just fall off

Egghead68 · 03/04/2020 09:25

You’re doing amazingly @MsTSwift!

Thanks @Onceuponatimethen. Day 13 of probable corona. Keep thinking I am better only to feel rubbish the next day. Hope those of you that haven’t had it can avoid in.

ModernMilli · 03/04/2020 11:37

Ecci re face exercising I use my old Eva Fraser book. She started the idea back in the 80/90s but there are lots of face exercise/yoga vlogs on you tube.

MrsRonaldUlyssesSwanson · 03/04/2020 11:43

Hello all, joining in if that's ok?

I'd put on a stone before all the Coronavirus thing really took off, then put on half a stone since the beginning of lockdown from the never ending snacking and toast!

Currently 14 stone, would like to be around 11.7 / 12 stone. Planning to eat healthy, do some online classes and walk for an hour a day. And go cold turkey on the toast Grin

Onceuponatimethen · 03/04/2020 11:47

@Egghead68 that sounds so hard. I’m really sorry it’s been so long that you’ve been feeling unwell and sure we will all be following you once the lock down ends.

And in many families it’s slowly going round the household in lockdown even now. It turns out my dbro’s family took it into lockdown with them. They didn’t realise because my sil and dn only had very mild symptoms (almost not even noticeable). But now it has moved onto teenage step dd who is really ill with horrendous chest pain, breathlessness and fever, but still not bad enough to go into hospital. They are placing regular calls to gp to see if she needs to be seen but so far she’s in the ‘uncomfortable but safe to be at home’ camp.

Onceuponatimethen · 03/04/2020 11:48

Welcome @MrsRonaldUlyssesSwanson - I’m sure you will find this a really good group for encouraging you to stick with it and keep on keeping on as we often say here!

KedsAndTubeSocks · 03/04/2020 12:31

I'm more or less at my target now, I think. I also appear to be losing an extra 100kg of dead weight.

KedsAndTubeSocks · 03/04/2020 12:32

Sorry @Onceuponatimethen & @Egghead68 and everyone else who is unwell or has unwell relatives. 🤞🤞 for you all.

cricketmum84 · 03/04/2020 12:34

@KedsAndTubeSocks does that mean what I think it means? Are you ok? X

OP posts:
KedsAndTubeSocks · 03/04/2020 14:01

Yeah, thanks @cricketmum84, I'll just need to be ok I suppose.

Egghead68 · 03/04/2020 14:55

@KedsAndTubeSocks hope you are OK.

GetTheStartyParted · 03/04/2020 14:57

I wrote a big long post replying to everyone earlier and it wouldn't post Hmm

Hope you are ok @KedsAndTubeSocks

@cricketmum84 rainbow pictures completed and put up, hopefully my photo will post too!

recklessgran · 03/04/2020 15:00

Oh @KedsAndTubeSocks poor you - I'm so sorry. Have you got any real life support?

JessJonesJumps · 03/04/2020 16:29

@Egghead68 hope you feel better soon. I'm so jealous of your Easter eggs. I can't get any anywhere. We're still self-isolating because someone seems to have different symptoms every week - and no-one will deliver Easter eggs. In the end I ordered plastic ones with little toys, etc for DS since he doesn't particularly like chocolate anyway.

@KedsAndTubeSocks - that sounds very tough Flowers

MotherOfDragonite · 03/04/2020 20:07

So sorry you are poorly @Egghead68.

Do you have an adequate support network in place @KedsAndTubeSocks? I know it's tough I'm on my own with the kids I do think whatever you can do to get in touch digitally with friends (Zoom, Houseparty etc) will be very sustaining, if you aren't already!

I am properly back on track and have been sticking within my points since the 'new' week started on Wednesday.

Last night I made an absolutely gorgeous cauliflower soup from a Cookie & Kate recipe used 1 tbps of olive oil rather than 3, and omitted the butter, and it was lovely. 4pp per big bowl cookieandkate.com/creamy-roasted-cauliflower-soup-recipe/

Egghead68 · 03/04/2020 21:47

Thanks everyone (I feel like I have been sympathy mongering - not intentional!)

@JessJonesJumps Hotel Chocolat are delivering I think but they don’t guarantee that it will be in time for Easter. If you can get a Tesco slot (huge if) they have a good selection of Easter Eggs too. Your plastic ones with toys sound good though.

MotherOfDragonite · 03/04/2020 22:24

Have discovered awesome snack! A tablespoon of reduced sugar raspberry jam on top of some Total 0% yoghurt. Reeeeeallly satisfying for 3 WW points in total. Next time might also have some banana sliced in.

I did my measurements and have shrunk a little bit all over. Not as dramatic as I was secretly hoping, but positive none the less. Maybe next time I will wait two months before measuring...

crivit · 03/04/2020 22:26

@Tanaqui - bootcamp sounds like a great idea 😁

@cricketmum84 - have you ever experienced the taste sensation that is salt and pepper chips? So wrong but omg... You can balance it out with lots of tofu and veg dishes too tbf.

@Onceuponatimethen - great consistency with your steps! And well done to your partner too 😊

@Egghead68 - that virus (covid-19 or not) needs to sod off. 13 days is just rude.

@MrsRonaldUlyssesSwanson - welcome waves

@KedsAndTubeSocks - sending positive thoughts your way.

Down another 400g at 68.1kg. Enjoying this while it lasts!

Slightly lower steps today, around the 15k mark but still the mix of cardio, weights and yoga. No weights now until Monday when I up the kgs. Have an online workout lined up for tomorrow as well as the weekly walk to the shops and whatever else takes my fancy.

Food wise, usual breakfast and mostly the same lunch as yesterday but with added crisps 😃. When I made a fresh batch of houmous this morning I added horseradish as my crisps were wasabi flavoured. Made for a welcome change although I've been experimenting with my houmous flavourings recently in general. So much nicer than shop bought and I get to control the texture and oil levels! Dinner was a marinated tempeh and red pepper risotto. The Chardonnay wasn't bad. Worked better with the risotto than as an aperitif. Next Friday it's cabernet sauvignon 🍷

crivit · 03/04/2020 22:28

@MotherOfDragonite - I love a good cauliflower soup so I'll definitely be trying that recipe with tweaks too ☺️

Onceuponatimethen · 03/04/2020 23:06

@KedsAndTubeSocks I’m thinking of you and hoping you are ok Flowers

cricketmum84 · 04/04/2020 07:00

Morning all! First pound of the month has gone so I'm happy today! Probably helped that I brought most of my Chinese and wine back up last night.... defo ate too much then had a huge coughing fit which made me feel sick and that was that :( not good.

Plan for today is:
Brunch: mushrooms and garlic spinach with 2 poached eggs
Dinner: pizza - I know you all laugh at me but I can only manage 2 slices so it will last a couple of days 😂

@KedsAndTubeSocks I really hope you are ok. What an awful time for this to happen, as if you aren't already under enough stress. Rant here if you need to, we are all here for support so lean on us!

@crivit oh god I love salt and pepper chips!! We make them at home - you can get jars of the seasoning from the Chinese supermarket next to my work.

@MotherOfDragonite yay for shrinking!!

@JessJonesJumps can anyone get to a lidl at all? Ours have absolutely loads of Easter eggs in. We started buying early for the kids as I thought something like this may happen but DH said there were still loads on Sunday. I actually saw a post on our local fb page of a similar thing the other day and someone volunteered to pick some up with their shopping and drop them at the door which was very kind.

@Egghead68 you are really in the wars at the moment :( any chance you could up your vitamin C or zinc to try give your immune system a bump start?

@GetTheStartyParted beautiful pictures!!

Welcome @MrsRonaldUlyssesSwanson! I know exactly what you mean about the toast. It's just the quickest thing to make and eat when you are working from home plus home schooling. Before lockdown I barely touched bread, I've turned into a carb monster!!

@MsTSwift that's amazing. I feel a bit like a proud mum 😂

@Onceuponatimethen and a wave to Mr Once you are both doing so well to get 10k steps in! I'm inspired and am going to get out for a nice long (local) walk today. And also try potter around the house instead of curling up with a book all day!

Have a lovely day everyone!

Tanaqui · 04/04/2020 07:54

@Onceuponatimethen, sadly the chocolate only increased! It was the last day of term here and everyone brought in treats and I had a total feast! Today however I am drinking ginger tea and planning a light workout before a nice brunch. I've got 10 days off so I really want to make the most of it! @MrsTSwift, I am either totally jealous or inspired- that is what I want to do!

Onceuponatimethen · 04/04/2020 08:05

Morning everyone! Nice and sunny here so I hope the same where you are.

Sorry to hear you weren’t well @cricketmum84 - hopefully you are feeling better now.

The plan for today is:

Breakfast - fruit (now having to start on tinned fruit as we are low on fresh)
Lunch - kids = sandwiches, dp and I will have veg soup
Dinner - steak and veg

Exercise- I ended up hitting the 10k again yesterday, which must be the first time in years I’ve done a week of 10k plus steps! So will do similar again today:

Morning - kids workout
Lots of incidental steps eg tidying and cleaning and up and down the stairs doing that
Afternoon - doing a dance thing with the dds
Walking around on the phone for an hour
