Hello everyone and welcome to the March edition! The plan is to lose 7lbs or 3kg this month!

All are welcome whether you are a regular, newbie, lurker, returning member... all I ask for is the amazing positivity and encouragement I have seen on every thread so far. You guys have been incredible!

I am following ww blue plan and very low carbing. There's a good mix of different methods on here though :)

Previous thread here is anyone wants to look back: Lose 7lbs/3kg per month! The February edition! http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/weightlosss_chat/3810787-lose-7lbs-3kg-per-month-the-february-edition

My stats are:
Starting weight (Dec 18) 25st 2lbs
Current weight: 18st 4lbs
Loss so far: 6st 12lbs
Loss for Feb: 6lbs (just missed target 😢)
Target for March: 10lbs so 17st 8lbs

We can do this people!!! Who's with me???

Im with you, currently 15st 5 and need to shift around 5st to be happy. Starting Monday as have to be prepared with correct foods
Thinking of combining calorie counting with a bit of slimming world.

So far ive tried and failed since November on any diet or healthy eating. Im getting there with my mindset but think ive failed lately due to willpower and the fact i bloody love food to much and it's instant, being slim takes too long.

This is the heaviest I've ever been, even after babies and im so disappointed i let myself bet to this size.

Goodluck op and congrats on losing more than 6st so farFlowers

SW (Jan 2020) : 13.7.8
CW: 12.13.2
Loss so far: 8.6 lbs
Target for March is: 12.6
Mantra for March is: Sleep, Soup, Salads, Exercise & Water (SSSEW for short!)
I sneaked soups in because if the weather doesn't improve I'm more likely to have soup than salad

Good luck everyone!

Morning all! I'm hoping to jump back in... 11 weeks tomorrow until I get married, and I have a long way to go... I've had this horrible flu lurgy thing for two weeks now which hasn't really been helping, so I'm hoping to shift that by Monday, and I'm about to set off into town for a walk to get some steps in.

I've lost about 10lbs so far this year, which isn't great by any stretch... but I've been building muscle, too. DP thinks he can see a difference in my face and stomach, but I can't really yet.

Start weight Jan 2020 - 12 stone (76kg)
Current weight - 10 stone 12lb (69.85kg)
Loss for Feb - 6.5lb (so close!!!)

I would be thrilled to reach 10st 7lb this month, which would be a loss for the month of 5lb. Anything above that is a bonus!

Start weight 86kg 14th Jan 2020
Current weight 79kg
Loss for February 3kg
Aiming for 3kg loss for March

Doing Jane Plan which is fine (v easy, perfectly nice) but getting a bit boring now. Have frequent breaks/ extra food off plan as I don't feel the estimated 1200 kcal a day on plan is enough for me

Thanks for the new thread. Checking in.
My stats are:
Starting weight (Oct 19) 74.5kg
Current weight: 63.6kg
Loss so far: 10.9kg
Loss for Feb: 0.9kg
Target for March: 1.6kg to 62kg
I am calorie counting and exercising but am close to my goal and weight loss has slowed right down, which is OK. I’m just scared of putting it all back on.
I have the lurgy at the moment (sore throat, headache and fatigue as of Friday night) which isn’t helping - ate a whole family-sized trifle yesterday “to soothe my throat”.

I lost 4lb in Feb. I’d like to loose 3lb in March, I aim to walk a total of 140km in March with daily walks that I’ll add up as I go.

I’m 3st 1lb down from October. I low carb and try and eat healthy filling meals, I try and intermittent fast, I have breakfast at about 11 and an early dinner and no snacks after dinner. I try my best to drink water non stop all day.

I’ve bundled up some old clothes to get rid of, I found a denim skirt that had a stretchy waistband and was a size 14. I’m happily a size 10 now. I absolutely can’t stop buying clothes! I’ve been buying new coat hangers just to get things rammed away in the wardrobe!

Can I join you please? I only started (again) last Wednesday and still working out my 'rules'. I've given up cake, chocolate, biscuits etc in an attempt to have a generally healthier diet. I hope once I've kicked my sugar habit, I can then focus on the rest.

Starting weight 15st 1
Current weight 14st 11
Aiming for 7lbs in March

Going on holiday in May and would love to lose 20lbs before I go.

Hi guys,

Long time lurker. I need to lose some weight. 17 stone at my heaviest and I feel so ashamed. My daughter is 7 months old and I need to shift some.

We are going in holiday in 14 weeks so if I can lose some before that, that will be a bonus.

Will follow for all your tips!

Good luck !

I did well in my first month of February with the lovely whoosh that first week. My goal this month will be 7 lb but it will be difficult, as last night went to a surprise birthday party dinner with fabulous food, but managed to hold back on potatoes and carby goodies but could not resist eating part of the delicious pudding! Next Friday off for a long weekend to Barcelona as is partners birthday, so I’ll be trying for low carbs and low drinks. 8 week time we go on holiday and I would love to have lost a stone over that 8 weeks. I’ll never be a beach babe, but it would be lovely to not be so wobbly !

Good start - I am up half a kilo to 64.1kg after yesterday’s triflegate. Not going to be hard on myself though as feeling really rough -(and somewhat worried about coronovirus)-

Have a good Sunday everyone. Enjoy your new clothes @downudderer! I’d love to be a size 10!

Just checking in and getting ready to keep trying in March!

I’m really proud of dp as he seems to want to keep going until he’s at his target weight - I talked to him last night and he wants to keep losing in March too!

We are both staying alcohol free and eating low calorie. In theory shakes but we’ve never
actually had one!!

We are all going out to a social event this afternoon which is being held somewhere without many healthy food options, so we will have to exercise care not to go crazy the first day of the new month Blush

I'd like to join you. I've lost 11lb since Christmas, I do the Noom app but don't log my food often enough. I prefer to control portions - half plate veg or salad then the rest quarter carbs & protein. Would really like to wear clothes in the summer that have been too small for a long time!

Does anybody have a Fitbit? Also trying to get as near to my goal of 15,000 steps as I can - sometimes challenging as I have a sedentary job but trying my best!

Thanks for new thread @CricketMum84. Really don't know what we'd all do without you.
Checking in. I'm on Keto diet working well for me as I'm also hypothyroid, inactive and relatively old. [64 next Sunday - Gosh!]
Start weight 30/12 14 st 3.75lbs
Current weight 12st 12.25lbs
Total lost so far 19.5lbs
Loss for February 5.75lbs
Goal for March 12 st 7lbs [Allowing for forthcoming birthday and holiday this month]
Welcome to all the newbies - you'll love it - it's a great little friendly and supportive corner of mumsnet. No judgy pants or rules here!
I survived the party and the food went down a storm although we had to throw away several trays of uneaten sandwiches. Better that I suppose than not enough food. [As a known feeder that represents my worst fear.] I ate a small bowl of egg mayo before we went, drank JD and diet coke, stayed on the dancefloor [brilliant Motown disco] and avoided the buffet altogether bar pinching 2 crisps from it when I went to get DH some cake. I'll view that as a victory I think. Just got to get through today's afternoon tea in the same way and I will emerge from the weekend relatively unscathed. Several people commented that I looked "great"[some I haven't seen for a couple of years]. Not sure if it was the "wow" dress or just the weight loss although yet again nobody commented on that.Have a good day all.

Checking in.
Start weight (Aug 19) 15 St 12.2 lb
Weight today 13 st 8.2 lb
Total loss 2 st 4 lb
Loss for Feb 4.4 lbs
Target for March 13 st (although would love to get to the 12s, where I haven't been for many years)
I'm doing low fat, reduced cars and small portions. I don't drink much water, except in the form of black tea, drink loads of that. Don't know if it counts. Usually walk about 3 miles daily with the dog but atm I'm recovering from an op and dog has a bad leg, so doing very short walks. Good luck to all for March.

Welcome to all the newbies

reckless glad the party went well and there were lovely 'looking great' comments

onesmall happy birthday! I hope stepcat makes it home safely today.

egghead hope you feel better soon. DS woke up in the middle of the night with a sore throat and a cough. We're also hoping it's not coronavirus since some of his classmates returned from a northern Italy ski trip (just before all the announcements about self-isolating).

DownUnderer the new clothes sound fab! I'm currently debating how many different sizes of jeans I need in my wardrobe. I have pairs from size 10 to size 16!

Down 0.4lbs today and I made the attached for my weight notes app as a reminder of my aims for this month Grin
