I have eaten crap for days. So much crap. I feel so tired and sluggish. I've put on 4lbs in 4 days. 🤦🏻‍♀️

It's because I've been alone while the girls are at their dads. They're not back until Tuesday. I could be half a stone heavier by the time I weigh in on Weds!

cricketmum84 · 26/04/2020 11:45

Morning all and happy weekend! Had a lovely sleep in this morning although I feel a bit groggy now from too much sleep!

Have been a bit naughty with food the last couple of days. Scales are already reacting to that... think it's going to be a maintain month for me which is probably ok under the circumstances.

I've got some fresh crusty sourdough and hummous for a snack in a little bit. Then having a go at a cauliflower steak later! I'll brush it with a teaspoon of olive oil mixed with harissa and gently fry. Not sure what to do with it yet? Maybe some roasted tomatoes and peppers?

@Jollyholibobs my DD makes the most gorgeous ramen. I tried to replicate it one day last week and she just shook her head in disappointment 😂 she's the only one allowed to make it now.

@GetTheStartyParted totally with you on that one. I was a pound up yesterday and did NOT stick to my diet. (Chilli cheese dogs and a rocky caramel) yet today am back down a pound again??? I'm not weighing now until the 30th.

@Egghead68 love everyone enjoying the shopska's!

@Ploughingthrough yep I feel like my mojo isn't what it was. I've been putting my running clothes out on a night and sticking two fingers up to it every morning 😂 I think I'm just frustrated at lockdown. I so so want to swim though :( I really miss swimming too @MotherOfDragonite

@JessJonesJumps it's been beautiful here too. We've been sitting out the front rather than in our back garden which is lovely because we have a gorgeous view of fields full of horses, a blackbirds nest next to us and we can give a friendly nod to anyone out for a walk with their dogs. I actually spoke to a person who doesn't live in my house yesterday (from a safe distance obv)

Welcome @Studentnursesos12e and welcome back @CoronaMoaner ❤️

Stay safe all and hope we all get a lovely sunny Sunday!

JessJonesJumps · 26/04/2020 12:22

@cricketmum84 we spoke to someone who doesn't live in our house yesterday too! One of the neighbours from the next street down shouted up to us Grin No-one used to talk to each other here but since we all started clapping on Thursdays, we now wave to each other, and shout hello!
Weight is STS but considering I had pasta, chocolate and a G&T yesterday, I'm quite happy with that.
Ploughing maintaining is great when you're at a healthy weight. You should be pleased with everything you've achieved. Well done! Star Flowers

cricketmum84 · 26/04/2020 12:31

@JessJonesJumps it's crazy the things we get excited about in lockdown!! They were walking a little French bulldog that was desperate to get to our little Ivycat who was lounging in the sun with us. She literally couldn't have cared less, I think she would have stuck a finger up at it if she could so we were having a laugh about how chilled out she was 😂

GetTheStartyParted · 26/04/2020 13:04

Thanks @Jollyholibobs it certainly did the trick Smile

@cricketmum84 It is so hard to resist (sounds delicious!) And when the scales react that way, it feels like you're not being rewarded for your efforts.

We're having gammon, celariac chips and cabbage for dinner, can't wait. Feeling much brighter today.

Tryingtwo · 26/04/2020 13:30

Good afternoon all, just a quick check in. After being strict all week and weighing 12st exactly yesterday morning I went mad and ate everything in sight. Not surprisingly up 2lbs this morning, I'm hoping most of that is water retention and will disappear just as quickly. Dd's KFC is due any minute and I am going upstairs away from temptation.

cricketmum84 · 26/04/2020 13:36

@Tryingtwo am sure it will be a temporary gain. God I can't wait until our local kfc reopens. I had a vegan burger just before lockdown and it was lovely. Am also now thinking about the absolutely delicious impossible burger from Burger King.... had one of those just before lockdown too. Bad bad food thoughts today 😂😂

OP posts:
Tryingtwo · 26/04/2020 13:46

cricketmum84 for me it's McDonald's - I really want a quarterpounder with fries and a coke or a double sausage and egg mcmuffin with hashbrown and black coffee but would make do with the sensible option of a grilled sweet chilli chicken wrap, side salad and water - I am thinking about this way too much 😂 thank goodness they are still closed.

GetTheStartyParted · 26/04/2020 16:20

Ooo, I have some McDonald's burgers in the freezer, I can have bunless cheeseburgers and coke zero for a treat one night Grin thanks DD for saving them from being wasted!

JessJonesJumps · 26/04/2020 22:23

Gosh maybe it's something about the weather that's making us all crave fast food or takeaways! I ended up making lots of mini pizzas today.

MotherOfDragonite · 26/04/2020 23:20

DD2 fell down the stairs before bed tonight and I panic-ate a comfort brownie after the girls were asleep. Terrifying. Luckily she was fine but there was a moment when I thought she wouldn't be.

I am still within my WW points for the week despite that and feeling on a roll.

Made a lovely miso salad dressing tonight and had that with a a small portion of egg fried rice made with Frylight and brown rice.

My goal for tomorrow is to drink more water and do Cosmic Kids yoga with DD1 (I know, I know, baby steps!).

Egghead68 · 27/04/2020 07:25

That sounds really scary @MotherOfDragonite. I’m glad your DD is OK. One brownie is restrained in the circumstances.

I’m doing OK with losing the weight I gained. Going for no snacking, lots of fruit and veg and one planned treat a day. I need to up my protein but otherwise all good.

JontyDoggle37 · 27/04/2020 08:12

Back again. Tried to come back two weeks ago but I’d also just given up alcohol after falling into a habit of drinking far too much, and I found I couldn’t do both at the same time. Feeling more secure in being sober (17 days done!) so back to working on diet and exercise. I’ve been running this morning - tough one as the air was cold which triggered my asthma a bit. I did well yesterday as well, taking a leaf out of @egghead68 ‘s book by having one planned treat. Didn’t get enough fruit and veg yesterday but had a stinking migraine all day so just ate whatever DH made. Better food planned today. Starting at 12st 7 1/4.

recklessgran · 27/04/2020 10:07

Morning all. Today is my weigh day.
Last week 12 5 lbs
Today 12st 5 lbs.
So, it's a maintain for me which I'm happy with under the circumstances. It looks as though it will be 3lbs loss this month for me. I was hoping for another 1.25lbs to make my total overall loss 2 stone but I think I'm unlikely to achieve this by Thursday. It's DD1's birthday tomorrow and there will be cake....
The nature reserve where we were planning to go for a walk was closed - gate to car park was padlocked. I'm not really surprised however driving another couple of miles led to a footpath by the river and field upon field of sheep with lambs. Lots of lambs. Twas beautiful and magical and not a soul around. No sound, just baaaing and bleeting and running water. Very memorable after 5 weeks locked in. Will definitely be going there again.

Was woken up this morning by the b*** window cleaner. FGS is it me but really would you when all the curtains are closed? Not usually grouchy but this had made me mad. Are they even meant to be working? Not sure if it's O.K or not. I'm going to be having words. Wondering if I've been locked up for too long?
I don't have a food plan for today yet. Will be OMAD again. DH, DD1 and DD5 will be having cheeseburgers, chips and salad. I might have a bunless cheeseburger with salad. I'll see if I fancy it. I'm not a big fan of burgers so might have a chicken breast instead.
Hope everyone has a good day.

cricketmum84 · 27/04/2020 11:32

Morning all :) happy Monday!

Quiet day off for me, I've just popped a soup on to cook and then freeze later and have some trashy magazines. I've also just had a delivery of lovely flowers and chocolates from work as a little thankyou for all the extra work over the last couple of weeks which was lovely.

@recklessgran I would have been pissed off by that too! The walk sounds lovely though.

@JontyDoggle37 that's quite an achievement in these times! Lovely to see you back :)

Oh god @MotherOfDragonite I'm glad your DD is ok. Littlest DD did this once when she was about 4, absolutely frightened the life out of me! We ended up in a&e as she was feeling sick and dizzy afterwards. The panic is really physical isn't it!

OP posts:
cricketmum84 · 27/04/2020 11:47

Almost forgot plan for today!

Skipped breakfast
Lunch - curried parsnip soup
Dinner - jerk cauliflower wings with Jamaican style rice and peas (made with brown rice) and side salad (depending on what comes in the veg box!)

OP posts:
GetTheStartyParted · 27/04/2020 11:55

Enjoy your day off @cricketmum84 you've definitely earned it!

The walk sounds idyllic @recklessgran and regarding the window cleaner, I guess it depends on whether it was 7am or 10am when he arrived Grin If he wasn't actually very early, I'd still have a grumble still but know it was slightly unreasonable of me.

@MotherOfDragonite Glad your DD is ok.

Hello and good luck @JontyDoggle37

My plan today is
B: was a few strawberries with cream (no yogurt left)

L: Asparagus with cheese

D: Sausages, egg, spinach and mushrooms

Tryingtwo · 27/04/2020 12:14

Hello all and welcome back JontyDoggle. Glad your dd is okay MotherofDragonite, dgs2 is a climber/jumper/faller - that second or two between the bump and the scream of pain/fright is endless. recklessgran your walk sounded lovely, dh and I usually just walk around the houses as we also the dgc but Friday night we made it to the park as we were a little later and dgs2 was ready for bed - he doesn't understand why he can't go on the playground.
I lost Sunday's gain and a little more but won't count it until Wednesday.

Jollyholibobs · 27/04/2020 12:38

Hope your DD is ok @MotherOfDragonite

Well done on the giving up booze @JontyDoggle37. I gave up in Jan 2019 and now just don’t miss it.

Well last nights ramen was delicious. I probably had a bit more than I should have and a bit of rhubarb crumble to follow. Weight up this morning bit I know why

Plan for the day
B usual porridge chia and fruit combo
L salad
D no plan and this is where it will fall apart if I am not careful.

Have a lovely day. The sun has gone here .

MotherOfDragonite · 27/04/2020 22:13

Thank you everyone. @Jollyholibobs she is completely fine! It is rather amazing really. We are very lucky it wasn't awful.

I'm a bit puzzled this week as I am being so very good but it doesn't actually look as if I am looking much weight. It is looking like I will lose half a pound if I am lucky. This doesn't seem at all fair as I have lost more in some weeks when I've eaten much worse, ha ha! On the plus side, I'm feeling pretty good about staying in control of my eating. Maybe I need to reduce carbs or something.

@cricketmum84 I've seen a nice Jack Monroe recipe for a bean and carrot burger! I am going to try it soon and think it might be up your street too!

Well done @Tryingtwo -- and we have the same weigh-in day on Wednesdays, so I can congratulate you properly then ;-)

cricketmum84 · 27/04/2020 22:20

@MotherOfDragonite yes that definitely sounds like my kinda thing! Let me know how it turns out and how to do it if it's any good :)

Any suggestions for something totally different to do with a swede?? I now have two and am the only person in the house who likes them.

MsTSwift · 28/04/2020 07:34

Keep at it! I joined these threads in Oct was 11st 9. Now 9 stone 9. Hours turbo most days and 16/8 3-4 days a week worked for me and broadly calorie counting in my head.

Jollyholibobs · 28/04/2020 08:03

1lb down in a week and 2.6 lbs up in the last month. At least I’m stopping it continuing to creep up but that 1lb has just fluctuated in the last couple of weeks. Still finding too much temptation when I am at home all day. But must just keep at it. On reflection I did not have to have Pizza last night just because everyone else was. I had a smaller portion than everyone else but didn’t calculate calories until after I’d eaten it. Oh and I ate 2chocolate digestives before bed. I don’t know why. Probably finished the day on 1900 Calories.
Today is a new day. With an 1100 Calories allowance
B porridge combo 272 cals
L allow 280
Snacks 150
Dinner 350

No room in this for Chocolate biscuits

HundredYearOldMan · 28/04/2020 08:30

Morning everyone. Weigh day for me, 2 pounds gone so I have managed my 7lbs off for April. I am looking forward to hopefully doing the same in May and getting into the 14s, I’m exactly 15st now.

Briefly thought about doing low carb/Keto type diet but might just stick to calorie counting and logging cals on MFP.

@MsTSwift well done, what a great achievement! It will take me a long time to get anywhere near where you are but if I’ve lost a stone hopefully I can do it again a few times :)

Have a good day everyone
B - banana bread
L - not sure yet...
D - chicken risotto with broccoli, baby corn and mange tout.

JontyDoggle37 · 28/04/2020 08:46

@MsTSwift that is AMAZING! I need to lose 35lbs, so if lose 1lb per week I can make it by December 27th. Noting also how much exercise you’re doing, I’m only doing a 20 minute run at the moment, need to up my game!
Anyway, had an unplanned ice cream yesterday as the ice cream van came round, but hadn’t had my planned daily treat yet so swapped them over. 0.25lbs down today to 12st 7 exactly, so a good start for Day 2. Went for my run this morning despite realising I’d left my trainers on the back step overnight and they’d got soaked in the rain, so I had very soggy feet but still made it round!
