cricketmum84 · 29/02/2020 12:03

Hello everyone and welcome to the March edition! The plan is to lose 7lbs or 3kg this month!

All are welcome whether you are a regular, newbie, lurker, returning member... all I ask for is the amazing positivity and encouragement I have seen on every thread so far. You guys have been incredible!

I am following ww blue plan and very low carbing. There's a good mix of different methods on here though :)

Previous thread here is anyone wants to look back: Lose 7lbs/3kg per month! The February edition! http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/weightlosss_chat/3810787-lose-7lbs-3kg-per-month-the-february-edition

My stats are:
Starting weight (Dec 18) 25st 2lbs
Current weight: 18st 4lbs
Loss so far: 6st 12lbs
Loss for Feb: 6lbs (just missed target 😢)
Target for March: 10lbs so 17st 8lbs

We can do this people!!! Who's with me???

Well done @recklessgran that is a great loss. I always think the BMI chart weight is too light but I guess it depends on people's builds. My sister suits the weight it says we should be (same height) but I look best at around one stone heavier.

Sounds like you have had a productive morning.

Ecci · 31/03/2020 10:02

Morning all, 3.6 lbs down this month. Now 13 St 4.6 lbs. Not too bad considering I've had a nasty ear infection most of this month, and some random meals due to the shortages. Goal for April is to get into the 12s. Hopefully, will be able to be a bit more active doing gardening. Well done to all who've lost or maintained in tnis crazy month.

JessJonesJumps · 31/03/2020 10:26

Jan SW: 13.7.8
Mar SW: 12.12.8
CW: 12.7.6
Mar loss: 5.2lbs
Total loss: 1 stone 0.2lbs

I've ended up losing more this month than I did last but I think that's because I was ill and then I couldn't buy as many snacks as usual.

Well done everyone! I think it's amazing we're all still posting in the current climate but I'm so glad we are. It's lovely to have you all to check in with. Flowers

ModernMilli · 31/03/2020 11:35

recklessgran what's your height if you don't mind me asking. I'm tall 5 foot 9 and if I got down to my mid range BMI I would definitely look ill. I'm not big boned either. I think size 12/14 suits me best especially being 50p plus

KedsAndTubeSocks · 31/03/2020 12:02

Hi @ModernMilli, I'm about 5' 8" and 70 kg (sorry I went metric don't know what that is!) which is healthy BMI but I'd like to be closer to the mid-point. If I went below mid-point I wouldn't look healthy, but I have big shoulders so I look odd anyway. Grin

ModernMilli · 31/03/2020 12:16

KedsAndtube it's so interesting how different our bodies can be at similar weight. If I were 11 stone I would be size 10/12. I would look lanky. I'm a hourglass/pear shape with small to medium shoulders. Love those threads where people put their weight and height. Such a diverse range.

riverbat · 31/03/2020 13:05

Match update
Start weight (Jan 2020): 86kg
Current weight: 76kg
Total loss: 10kg Grin
March loss: 3kg

Want to lose a further 10kg then reassess

Onceuponatimethen · 31/03/2020 13:14

Right!! We’ve weighed!

Dp is down to 85.3kg, so he’s lost around 14 kg off his weight in Nov I reckon! I’m not sure what’s he lost this month but think maybe 3kg

I’m at 78.5 kilo so surprisingly I think I’ve lost 2kg this month!!

I’m feeling inspired to carry on now Smile

Onceuponatimethen · 31/03/2020 13:16

Ladies I’m loving all these great losses - so much power on here to keep going through the lockdown!

Onceuponatimethen · 31/03/2020 13:17

@KedsAndTubeSocks Sounds like you are already at a good weight and now just going for the icing on the cake (obviously I won’t be eating the icing on any cakes for a while Grin)

Good afternoon all, waves hello to ModernMilli. Some great losses this month. I'm up 0.4lbs from Sunday's low, so my loss for March is 6.4lbs - 1lb off target.

Fractionated · 31/03/2020 14:55

Quick check in.
Start weight: 12 stone 5
End goal: 10 stone 5
Goal for March: 11 stone 12
Actual weight: 12 stone

Could be worse in the circumstances. Will try again in April!

beforeihit30 · 31/03/2020 17:15

Yay - love the positivity for end of the month/start of the new! KOKO all Star

recklessgran · 31/03/2020 17:45

@ModernMilli I'm 5ft 7.5ins to be precise. I've lost an inch due to age I think. I'd be happy at size 12/14 to be honest. I'm fine in a 14 at the moment but I'm a bit bottom heavy. All of the girls in our family carry their weight on the thighs and hips. I'm long in the body with a proper waist which helps a bit. Anyway I'm trying not to get ahead of myself but think my goal weight will end up being about 11st 10lbs. [That's a guess and I don't even know if I'll be able to get there or not.]
Well done everyone there's some great things going on here.
