Ihatesundays · 31/12/2019 10:33

Thanks for the new thread...

My stats are:
Starting weight: 71.9kg
Jan target: 69.9kg
Loss for December: 0.6kg
Loss so far: 9.1kg

2kg is a bit hopeful. I need to reassess my weight loss. I don’t know whether calorie counting or WW would help....

dingledanglescarecrows · 31/12/2019 10:39

Newbie here!

Starting weight: 14.7
End of Jan goal: 14 stone

Logging on fitness pal, reducing my meds (which I'm partly blaming for my weight gain, as well as the cake) and walking more.

Hello everyone Smile

Somesortofzilla · 31/12/2019 10:43

Hi all, I'd like to join you as well, something needs to change, might as well be my waistline!

I'm thinking 5:2 and calorie counting, but I'll be starting off slow Smile

Starting weight: 98kg
Jan target 95kg

Any tips for someone who needs a lifestyle change to move their weight loss???

cricketmum84 · 31/12/2019 10:44

@Ihatesundays I've got a link for first month free for ww if you wanted to try it for a month. (I get a free month too lol)

OP posts:
mummy3uk · 31/12/2019 10:49

can I join please? Yesterday I weighed in and urgh... a month off eating crap has led to
starting weight: 16st 3lbs
End of Jan goal: 15st 10lbs

Im calorie counting and using my fitbit (so eating 500-1000 less a day- I have an active job so burn alot, when I stick to the calorie goal I lose 1lb for every 3500cals I cut out a week so Im saying its accurate) I was doing well until 2019 and Iv put a stone back on and so frustrated by that fact! But its done so the only way is down now.
Im thinking I could lose more then 7lbs as Im sure I will have a bigger then normal drop in scales on monday once all the xmas food has left my system!

cricketmum84 · 31/12/2019 10:50

Link for first month free at ww

www.weightwatchers.co.uk/uk/checkout/iaf/?iaftoken=A203AD3900

I also get a free month when it's used so let's share the love and if anyone uses it post your code next and so on...

Ihatesundays · 31/12/2019 10:53

I might do @cricketmum84 are you doing 16:8 at the same time or just WW?

haggistramp · 31/12/2019 10:57

Newbie here too,

My stats are:
Starting weight: 13 st 3
Jan target: 12st 7
Loss for December: 0
Loss so far: 0

Not sure which diet yet, hopefully not being a greedy cunt and eating for 10 will help!

cricketmum84 · 31/12/2019 11:02

I'm doing both @Ihatesundays

I find sticking within the 8 hour window makes it much easier to stay within points :) I've been really bad though and not tracked properly all week.

There's some great recipes on the app and the connect platform is really good for inspiration with weight loss stories and before and after pics.

Hello @Egghead68

Welcome @dingledanglescarecrows I also had the weight gain with meds thing (mirtazapine). It's so hard when you are trying to lose weight! Thankfully off them now.

Welcome @Somesortofzilla absolutely loads of tips etc at the end of the December thread. The key for me is planning. I meal plan a week at a time and put it all in the ww app so I know where I am every day. I've been veggie since last April and eat pretty low fat. Also giving veganuary a go!

Hi @mummy3uk you are more than welcome to join :) I'm also hoping for a little whoosh once all the Christmas food is out of my system!

Welcome @haggistramp yes that sounds like a plan for starters!

OP posts:
mummy3uk · 31/12/2019 11:30

thanks for the welcome. Yesterday was my day 1 again I was 600 calories under my goal so on track for the week. My downfall is weekends. My busy week catches up with me then Im tired and hungry so reach for high calorie, quick junk. That's stopping now Smile
Iv got a spicy chicken salad planned for lunch and also need to prep food for work this afternoon (I start at 5pm and finish at 10pm so need a meal to keep my going)

Didkdt · 31/12/2019 11:37

I'd like to join in but I need a diet plan to follow I'm thinking that
Jesse Pavelka book is quite good for me but prep is the key as is Tom Kerridge
I need to build up muscle mass and bone density
Starting weight 114 kg and creeping up as I'm on steroids again
I need to probably cut out the alcohol as well because that's more than just added calories.

Egghead68 · 31/12/2019 12:09

@didkdt respect for trying to lose weight on steroids. They make you SO hungry. I can’t stop eating when I am on them.

Cutting down on alcohol sounds like a plan. Would a walking programme be a way of getting you back into exercise?

Good luck and welcome!

Ihatesundays · 31/12/2019 12:09

@cricketmum84 I’m on - what’s your username?

cricketmum84 · 31/12/2019 12:11

@Ihatesundays I'll PM you Cos it's my actual name :)

danni0509 · 31/12/2019 12:24

Weightwatchers (green plan)

Would like to get into 11's by end of Jan if poss.

Overall goal is 9st which I'm determined to do by the summer.

Ihatesundays · 31/12/2019 12:48

It’s a terrible day for me to start WW though - I’m having a massive dinner tonight and wine....
And tomorrow I will be hungover Crown Grin

recklessgran · 31/12/2019 12:58

Please may I join?
I started my new way of eating yesterday.
I'm hypothyroid, on levo but over 60 so struggled all last year - lost a stone but gained it all back plus more. I am very inactive so I'm intending to up the exercise. I have bought a pedometer to help me with that. I am going to Low Carb and intermittent fast as I think it will be my best chance of success.
Starting weight 14st 3.75lbs [Alarming!]
Target for this month 13st 10.75lbs but hoping for more.

beforeIhit30 · 31/12/2019 13:03

Thanks for the new thread - happy (almost) 2020 everyone! A whole new year Shock

So my stats today are:
Current weight: 162.4lb
Loss for December: 4.2lb
January target: lose at least another 4lb (the 150s! Yay!)
Total loss so far: 17.2lb (since mid-September)

I eat low carb high fat. I’m keto the vast majority of the time but I don’t want to constrain myself if I were to go over the 5% carbs macro in keto, as if I do it’s usually for an occasional bit of milk in tea or extra veg, not exactly going wild!

Pleased with my December loss as I plateaued for a couple of weeks and then the majority of the loss was in a whoosh last week, so a nice way to end the month Smile

Mammyloveswine · 31/12/2019 13:11

After a disastrous December illl rejoin!

Got down to 71kg end of October...maintained in November..up to 73.85 now ShockConfused

Need to get to 68 by end of Feb so going to set myself a goal of getting to 70 by end of jan...(the first 2 usually comes off very quickly once I'm not drinking!).

My birthday is in May... hoping to be around 63 by then!

Doing sw on weekends, fast800 mon to fri and RED.

Good luck!

DdJames · 31/12/2019 17:01

Mind if I join in!

Last year I went from 273lbs to 230lbs. I've regained a few of those so starting this year at 238lbs.

I do low carb and calorie counting plus regular exercise

Starting stats
Weight: 238lbs
January target: 230lbs
Total loss so far: 35lbs

Ihatesundays · 31/12/2019 17:18

So 5 years ago I went on a big holiday. I’d bought some shorts and trousers in the sales to wear. Even though I got down to 68kg I couldn’t get them on.
Tried them on today at 72kg and they both fit comfortably!
The shorts are a khaki colour and make me look like a scout leader though Crown Grin.

Onesmallstep67 · 31/12/2019 17:56

Marking my place ahead of tomorrow. It's my younger DD's birthday today and just in the lull before next phase of celebrations.
See you all tomorrow. Have a lovely evening losers Crown Grin
